18-Year Rift! Did Ex-Congress MLA's Daughter Come Between These 2 Tollywood Superstars?
In the early days of Allu Arjun's career, long before he gained pan-India recognition with Pushpa, there were murmurs about his strong affection for a certain actress. That actress was Neha Sharma, who first garnered attention with the 2007 Telugu film Chirutha. Neha Sharma, who later rose to fame in Bollywood with Crook (2010), began her journey in cinema with that Telugu debut. At the time, reports suggested that she and Allu Arjun had become quite close, with some even claiming she wished to marry him.
In 2007, Neha Sharma starred opposite Ram Charan in Chirutha. During the course of the film's production, rumours emerged about an alleged romance between Neha Sharma and Ram Charan. Some gossip even went so far as to claim they had secretly wed and honeymooned together.
These reports were said to have deeply upset Allu Arjun, who was heartbroken upon hearing that the woman he reportedly wished to marry had fallen for his cousin. This incident is widely believed to have caused a strain in their relationship, with claims suggesting the two stopped speaking following Chirutha's release, an estrangement said to have lasted 18 years.
As the matter gained attention, Ram Charan eventually addressed the rumours publicly. According to a report in The Deccan Chronicle, he refuted the claims of a secret marriage to Neha Sharma during a television interview. He clarified that such baseless speculation could have harmed his relationship with his wife, Upasana.
At the time those rumours surfaced, Upasana was a close friend of his, and both were aware that the stories were unfounded. Ram Charan went on to marry Upasana in 2012, and the couple welcomed a daughter in 2023. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun found love with Sneha Reddy, whom he married in 2011; they now have two children.
Both stars have since gone on to achieve international acclaim with films like RRR and Pushpa. Today, they remain among the most celebrated actors in Indian cinema. However, it is said that a distance still exists between them. When attending public events, they are often seen keeping to themselves. That said, there is no concrete evidence linking Neha Sharma to their alleged falling out. The true reason for the apparent estrangement remains unknown, though it continues to be a subject of discussion within the industry.
As for Neha Sharma, she is the daughter of Ajay Sharma, a former Congress MLA from Bhagalpur, Bihar. She currently resides in Mumbai with her sister, Ayesha Sharma, who is also active in Hindi cinema. Neha Sharma is now focusing her efforts on web series and digital ventures.

'War 2' box office collection day 1 (LIVE): The Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR starrer off to a great start, but Rajinikanth's 'Coolie' dominates at the moment
'War 2' has finally released in theatres and the film has got mixed reviews by the audience so far but it is off to a great start. The film is facing a huge competition from Rajinikanth 's 'Coolie' which has also released today and this is one of the biggest clashes of movies. 'War 2' starring Hrithik Roshan , Jr NTR and Kiara Advani has released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. While the pre-release ticket sales was not as high, just as the Telugu markets opened, the numbers from the advance bookings grew due to Jr NTR's presence as he's a huge star there. Thus, the film may be expected to do well in Telugu and Hindi both. It had collected Rs 16 crore gross already from the advance bookings. Hrithik calls Rajinikanth his 'first teacher' ahead of 'War 2' vs 'Coolie' clash As of now, as far as the net collections are concerned. Till 12 pm, 'War 2', has started off on a great note. As the collection so far is Rs 11.76 crore, according to Sacnilk. The film should have a day 1 number of atleast Rs 30-40 crore but time will tell if the numbers increase or decrease with spot bookings which will largely depend on positive word of mouth towards the film. Meanwhile, 'Coolie' starring Rajikinanth, Nagarjuna Akkineni , Aamir Khan , Shruti Haasan has made Rs 20.84 crore up till the same time. According to Box Office India, Trade analysts caution, that these numbers of 'War 2' don't yet point to an 'huge blockbuster type of weekend', the kind the industry hopes for with such big-budget spectacles. 'War 2' may look underwhelming when compared to some past juggernauts, but the ratio of advance sales to first-day collections has changed in recent years, making direct parallels tricky. Some previous 'big ones,' as the trade hints, even had 'advances which were tampered putting it in a nice way.' By contrast, War 2's advance numbers are twice that of recent big titles like 'Raid 2' and 'Housefull 5'. Eventually, it's the reviews and now the footfalls during the weekend which will eventually determine the film's fate. But at the moment it looks like, 'Coolie' is definitely on the upper side in terms of the numbers. Day 1 [1st Thursday] ₹ 11.76 Cr ** - Total ₹ 11.76 Cr "Get the latest news updates on Times of India, including reviews of the movie Coolie and War 2 ."
