The suspect was described as a Black man in his 30s, with a dark complexion and a stocky build, standing between 5 feet 8 and 5 feet 10, and appears to wear his hair in dreadlocks.

The service is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to his capture and conviction.
The public is advised not to take matters into their own hands.
Anyone with information about the suspect and his whereabouts is asked to contact the inspection service at 877-876-2455, say "law enforcement," and use reference number 4315597.

2 missing men, including one from West Virginia, found dead in abandoned mine

A missing man from West Virginia and a missing man from Virginia were found dead in an abandoned drift mine, officials said. In a news release posted to Facebook, the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office in Virginia said 49-year-old Jerry Chambers Jr. of Jewell Ridge, Virginia, and 53-year-old Jerry Orville Jenks of Paynesville, West Virginia, were found dead on Wednesday. Virginia law enforcement said in the news release that officers were called to the Spruce Pine section of Buchanan County for a report of two missing men shortly after midnight. The sheriff's office said the two men were believed to have gone into an abandoned drift mine. The Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy and the Mine Safety and Health Administration responded to the scene to help locate the men. Crews found the bodies of the two missing men around 10:30 a.m. inside the mine, officials said. The bodies were then recovered and taken to the Virginia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsies. "At this time, no foul play is suspected," the news release said. "The investigation remains ongoing." The Virginia Department of Transportation and the Virginia Department of Emergency Management provided equipment used in the recovery mission. Other agencies assisted with medical support and transport and rescue teams. It was not immediately clear why the two men were inside the abandoned mine. No other information was released on Wednesday. Buchanan County is in western Virginia. The county's northern and eastern sections border southern West Virginia.

Phenix City police make third arrest in ballot harvesting investigation

PHENIX CITY, Ala. () — The Phenix City Police Department announced on Thursday that a third person was taken into custody after being accused of ballot harvesting. It was a follow-up from an Aug. 13 release from the police department regarding an absentee voting fraud investigation. District 3 City Council Candidate Jamar Gayles was taken into custody on Thursday for two counts of attempt to commit absentee voter fraud, a Class C felony and one count of conspiracy to commit absentee voter fraud, a Class B misdemeanor. Initially, Thalia Hardin and Valerie Carter were taken into custody on Monday by Phenix City authorities. According to the Phenix City Police Department, the investigation was prompted after the city clerk's office received multiple reports of unusual activity. The investigation revealed that Hardin and Carter advised investigators that they were volunteering for Gayles and allegedly engaged in illegal ballot harvesting. Harden faces four counts of absentee voter fraud, a Class C felony and one count of absentee voter violations, a Class A misdemeanor. Carter is facing five counts of absentee voter fraud, a Class C felony and one count of absentee Voter violations, a Class A misdemeanor. The Alabama Secretary of State and the Russell County District Attorney's Offices were involved in the investigation. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
