China's Exports Accelerated in July Ahead of Tariff Truce Deadline

China's exports grew at a faster pace in July, surpassing expectations as global businesses await clarity on whether Beijing and Washington will extend their tariff truce ahead of an August deadline. Outbound shipment rose 7.2% from a year earlier last month, accelerating from June's 5.8% increase, the General Administration of Customs said on Thursday. A Wall Street Journal survey of economists had forecast a 6.0% gain.
