HC to hear Salman Khan, Raj govt's appeals in poaching case on Sept 22
Jodhpur: Rajasthan high court 's Jodhpur bench will hear on Sept 22 the appeal of actor Salman Khan against his conviction in the black buck poaching case. The trial court convicted Khan and sentenced him to 5 years imprisonment on April 5, 2018. Along with this, the high court will also hear on Sept 22 the Rajasthan govt's 'Leave to Appeal' against acquittal of the co-accused in the case—Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, Neelam, and a local, Dushyant Singh. Both petitions were clubbed and listed together following the transfer of Khan's appeal to the high court from the district & sessions court. Prosecution's counsel, Mahipal Bishnoi, said Khan's lawyers had earlier filed a transfer petition in the high court against his sentence so that the appeal filed by him could be clubbed with the appeal filed by the state govt. "In this matter, Justice Manoj Kumar Garg Monday ordered that the appeal filed by Salman Khan in the subordinate court should also be listed in the high court under the transfer petition. Along with this, both cases were clubbed together, and a joint hearing will now be held on Sept 22 at the high court at Jodhpur," said Bishnoi. In 1998, during the shooting of the film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain', Khan was accused of hunting two blackbucks in Kankani village of Jodhpur district. The chief judicial magistrate (Jodhpur) sentenced Khan to five years in prison.

While Mahavatar Narsimha has witnessed impressive occupancy, reports suggest that new shows are being added to cater to the demand. Meanwhile, Hari Hara Veera Mallu had an overall 15.15% occupancy among the Telugu audience on Monday. The occupancy was as follows: Both the film are available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. At the international box office, the film has crossed the ₹ 100 crore mark in four days. As per the latest report, Pawan Kalyan's film has raked in ₹ 102.20 crore worldwide. Hari Hara Veera Mallu - Part 1 Sword vs Spirit is a two-part film. Directed by Krish, with Jyothi Krisna taking over the project after he walked out of it, the film is backed by AM Rathnam. Besides Pawan Kalyan in the lead, the film also stars Bobby Deol, Nidhhi Agerwal and Sathyaraj. Set in the 17th-century Mughal Empire, the film follows the story of the celebrated warrior, outlaw Veera Mallu, who goes on a mission to recover the Koh-i-Noor diamond from Aurangzeb to rescue a city from Mughal soldiers. The film received criticism over its VFX and storyline. A new version of the film with tweaked scenes was silently released in theatres after many slammed the makers for poor VFX. Additionally, a huge part towards the end of the film was also removed. Noticing the change, many in the audience appreciated the move and called it a much better version now with the changes.
