Aaditya Thackeray hurls ‘khoke' jibe at Neelam Gorhe from Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan stairs

on Tuesday took a jibe at Shiv Sena MLC Neelam Gorhe, who is deputy chairperson of the legislative council, by raising the slogan "Pannas khoke ekdum OK (50 moneybags are absolutely OK), Mercedes OK" when Gorhe was entering Vidhan Bhavan.
Thackeray was protesting on the Vidhan Bhavan stairs along with other opposition MLAs, demanding that speaker Rahul Narwekar appoint a leader of the opposition in the assembly.
In Feb, Gorhe had said on corruption and the Shiv Sena (UBT) that "two Mercedes would fetch you a post in the party".

On Tuesday, Gorhe, who was entering Vidhan Bhavan, stopped after hearing the Mercedes slogan and glared angrily at all the protesters, including Thackeray.
Eventually, she went inside, but a video of the incident went viral on social media.
Gorhe was speaking at an event of the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan in Delhi. Talking about the lack of contact between party workers and the leadership in the Shiv Sena (UBT), she said, "Leaders were foisted on party workers. Two Mercedes cars would fetch you one post."
Once considered a close aide of Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, Gorhe was elected an MLC four times. She was deputy chairperson of the upper house of the state legislature even before joining Dy CM Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena.
