Peppa Pig: Mummy Pig Welcomes A Baby Girl With A Touching Name

Graziadaily20-05-2025

In a time where we're in desperate need of some good news, here's the injection of positivity you need to hear today after the news earlier this year that Mummy Pig from Peppa Pig was pregnant- Peppa Pig's baby sister has been born!
Her new sibling - a baby sister called Evie - has officially arrived. For over two decades, Peppa, her little brother George, Mummy Pig, and Daddy Pig have been a family of four, but this new addition to the show marks a big change. Baby Evie - whose gender was exclusively revealed by Grazia last month was named after Mummy Pig's aunt, and she safely delivered the piglet on the morning of Tuesday, 20th May.
The news was announced by Richard Madeley on Good Morning Britain, who revealed, 'Over 60 million of you on TikTok have been following Mummy Pig and the rest of the pig family while they get ready to welcome their new addition.
'It's a beautiful thing, like I said, Daddy Pig has just shared these pictures with me of Peppa's brand new baby sister Evie named after Mummy Pig's Aunt Evie, she was born at 5:34am this morning, thankfully, just in time to watch her first ever Good Morning Britain.'
Fans of the show can expect to meet the new baby on screen this autumn, but for those who can't wait, the creators of the show have also announced that an hour-long special called Peppa Meets The Baby will be released in theatres on 30 May.
Grazia previously did an exclusive gender reveal shoot and interview back in April when the world learned that Peppa and George would be having a sibling. In the interview, she admitted that juggling life, work, and two little ones is made easier by Daddy Pig's input. We also asked the pressing question on everyone's mind- how, in this cost-of-living crisis, can Mummy Pig afford to have a third piglet?
'Well, that is a good question,' she answered. 'I won't say it hasn't been a concern for us – babies are expensive, and times are already quite tight. We still have lots of Peppa and George's pre-loved baby things for the new little one to use, so that helps with some of the costs – and it's very good for the planet, too!'
She added, 'Granny and Grandpa Pig have already been scheduling in the days when they want to help look after the new arrival, and of course Peppa and George will still be at playgroup. Not to mention how many people have offered to babysit, as well. It takes a village to raise a little one – but luckily that's exactly what we have.'
Peppa and her brother George are said to be thrilled by the arrival of their new baby sister, while Mummy and Daddy Pig are 'looking forward to lots of happy snorts and sleepless nights.'

Palm reader claims just your THUMB can reveal whether you're destined to be rich or poor with a simple test

A TikTok video has sparked a social media frenzy after claiming just your thumb could reveal whether you're destined for wealth or will struggle to make ends meet. The clip, shared by popular UK-based palm reading account @palmistbabauk, which boasts 225,000 followers and over 1.2 million likes, focuses on a tiny detail in the crease at the base of your thumb. According to the video, the pattern where your thumb connects to the rest of your palm is the key to your financial fate. If the line appears cross-hatched, like stitches, the message is clear: You and your spouse are not meant to be wealthy. But if the crease looks more like a chain of tiny ovals linked together, tradition suggests you and your partner are destined for riches. The post quickly gained traction, racking up thousands of views, though many viewers were quick to point out the theory's lack of scientific backing and offered commentary of their own. 'I have it without a husband, still not rich,' one unimpressed commenter wrote below the footage. Another added: 'Nope. All three spouses were not rich. I was the one with money. I have this on both thumbs.' A third took a dig at their other half, joking: 'My husband is really broke but rich in his heart.' A similar diagram posted on Instagram showing the two types of thumb creases prompted even more scepticism. 'I believe checking your bank account will give a more accurate forecasting in this case,' one user quipped. Another joked: 'Do I have to get my thumb cut off and stitched back for this?' Others were just confused, claiming both thumbs had different patterns, making the verdict even murkier. While the advice may be just a small entry into the world of palm reading, it's a respected ancient practice in many parts of the world. An expert on Chinese culture recently revealed what the shape and length of your palm lines tell you about your personality, health and even let you know whether you're in the right career path. Min Yilin frequently posts videos to her TikTok channel educating her followers on Chinese culture, including how to use chopsticks and explainers on the beauty standards in China. In a series of videos Min shared to her over 150,000 followers she shared exactly how viewers could learn more about themselves by just examining their palms. In her first video, Min detailed what the line on your palm she referred to as your 'heart line' reveals about your romantic life. The heart line, or love line, 'starts from under the pinky and runs across the palm towards the middle finger or forefinger.' If your love line is short, Min described that you are most likely a 'powerful and stubborn person.' She added that those with short heart lines are often 'spontaneous', but have a 'rocky' love life as they are often 'isolated by others.' Next up, she explained the ups and downs of your love life if you have a long heart line. She added that 'very long' palm lines reach 'opposite sides of the palm', which means you're extremely independent. This means you'd rather be alone then comprise with others, because of this Min noted that those with long love lines will experience extreme 'hardships.' Not all commenters were convinced, with many spotting flaws in the palm reading logic Min added that a long heart line indicates that you're an extremely 'loyal' and a dedicated partner who often feels emotions at a heightened level causing you to get 'seriously hurt' by conflict in you relationships.' Next up, the expert on Chinese culture dished on what your palms tell you about your personality and career with your head line. 'To find it, just look between your thumb and forefinger and follow the line towards the side of your palm,' Min explained. She added that the head line is above the 'heart line.' 'The head line represents your wisdoms, beliefs and thinking ability,' she revealed. If you have a long head line that means you're considerate, logical and responsive. Someone with a short head line, will have difficulty making decisions and often rush into things.

Dani Dyer's stunning wedding dress cost 'eye-watering sum' amid low-key wedding

Former Love Island star Dani Dyer wowed her wedding guests when walking down the aisle as she opted for a beautiful gown that is believed to cost an impressive amount Dani Dyer's love life over the years hasn't been smooth sailing to say the least. But now, the mum of three can finally breath a sigh of relief as she's found her fairy-tale ending by marrying West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen. And this may explain why no expense was spared for Danny Dyer's eldest daughter as her wedding dress was reportedly a staggering £10,000. Dani, 28, who is a mum of three, celebrated her hen party in the Spanish party island of Ibiza as a nod to the moment Jarrod popped the question, just a week before the wedding. In the days leading up to the big day, many were left speculating over what Dani would be wearing to walk down the aisle - and she certainly did not fail to disappoint. ‌ ‌ The former reality TV star, who once appeared on Love Island back in 2018, chose renowned designer Suzanne Neville who has designed wedding dresses for Christine Lampard, Anthony McPartlin's wife Anne-Marie Corbett and opera singer Katherine Jenkins. Dani cut a stunning appearance as she walked down the aisle in front of close friends and family in an off the shoulder, white wedding down teamed with a matching veil. Dani also wore her hair up in a loose bun, while leaving the front section down, delicately framing her face. ‌ Keen to maintain tradition, the mum of three chose to stay with her parents before her big day. Andhttps:// ‌ which took place on the last weekend of May, it seemed as though the former reality TV star turned podcast host took inspiration from the popular drama Bridgerton. According to reports, violinists played classical music as she walked towards her beau at the end of the aisle. And while you would assume that between the pair and her actor father there would be a host of celebrity guests, it seems only 50 VIP guests were invited to their big day. ‌ But the planning of their wedding was nothing short of stressful. With Jarrod's commitment to his football career while Dani looked after their three children, it seemed things were taking its toll. A source told Heat: "Jarrod is busy with the last half of football season, and she has three kids to look after, so it's all getting on top of her. " They added: "She has got a wedding planner, but she wants to be as involved as much as she can, so she can make everything personal to her and Jarrod. She's determined not to turn into a bridezilla, but she has joked that she can see why some brides lose it."

Many parents will know that ordering a personalised birthday cake can often end up costing hundreds of pounds. 3 A mother has revealed that rather than forking out hundreds of pounds for a personalised cake for her daughter's birthday, she DIY-ed a supermarket buy Credit: TikTok/@mummyandmylaa 3 For less than £20, Amy was able to celebrate her child's birthday in style Credit: TikTok/@mummyandmylaa 3 Amy nabbed the Pretty in Pink Lambeth Cake from Waitrose Credit: Waitrose But in a bid to save cash, one savvy mum took matters into her own hands and was able to cut costs by DIY-ing her little darling's birthday dessert. So if you're on a budget and your purse is feeling tighter than ever before, then you'll need to listen up. The UGC content creator explained that to celebrate her daughter turning one, she decorated the Pretty in Pink Lambeth Cake, which she bought from Waitrose. The pink coloured golden sponge cake, which is filled with raspberry jam and topped and decorated with pale pink and dark pink buttercream, cost Amy just £18. Then, using some pink icing and ribbons she already had, she was able to personalise the cake - and we think it looks incredibly professional. Alongside a short clip shared online, the influencer penned: 'Making my daughter's first birthday cake, saving £100s!' Showing off the box-fresh vintage-style cake, which is decorated with whirls and swirls of piping, Amy beamed: 'Come with me to DIY my daughter's first birthday cake for only £18!' Amy confirmed that she used letter cutters to cut out 'Myla is one' in pink icing, which she placed on top of the cake. Following this, she attached pretty pink bows, which she already had from Shein, and was able to stick these to the cake with cocktail sticks. The simple chocolate cake recipe using only TWO ingredients - it's sweet and you won't even need to put it in the oven We think Amy's DIY cake looks brilliant and is a great way for those strapped for cash to save money, without having to scrimp on the celebrations.
