Texas A&M will reportedly host 2026 4-star SF for an official visit next month
This month, outside of looking for two more veterans to add to the roster, coupled with transfer forward Rashaun Agee's impending eligibility news, McMillan has offered a long list of 2026 recruits, looking to land at least three, four, or five prospects in the cycle, which would be an impressive feat for a Texas A&M program that isn't considered a blue-blood basketball program.
On Saturday, more progress was made, as it was announced that the son of former Dallas Mavericks star forward Josh Howard, 2026 four-star SF Bryson Howard, is set to take an official visit to Texas A&M on August 29-30, followed by North Carolina, Texas, Duke, Houston, Kentucky, UConn, and Tennessee in September and early October.
This is great news for the Aggies, who offered Howard two months ago, while McMillan and his veteran staff have already developed a solid relationship with the incoming senior. Last season, Howard averaged 17.1 points per game, 10.4 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game in nearly 26 minutes of play.
According to 247Sports, Howard is currently positioned as the 28th-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the 11th-ranked small forward, and the 2nd-ranked prospect in Texas.

He has two years left on his rookie deal and still has a chance to prove himself, but Ferguson has taken the mantle as the primary tight end. It will take an injury or catastrophic shift if Dallas was to ever view Schoonmaker as a good pick. It's a rare miss for a front office that has drafted some elite talent. Former Texas A&M OF Braden Montgomery promoted to AA after steady surge in A+ ball
The Chicago White Sox are promoting Braden Montgomery to the Birmingham Barons (AA). Former Texas A&M outfielder and first-round pick Braden Montgomery is on the move, as the Chicago White Sox have promoted him to AA ball. MiLB Central announced that Montgomery was called up from the Winston-Salem Dash to the Birmingham Barons. The No. 26-ranked prospect has been remarkably consistent since joining the A+ Dash team and has flashed big-league potential in his 69 games played. He boasts a slash line of .260/.348/.445, with 38 RBIs and eight home runs. One area for improvement is his strikeout rate, which sits at 27.5% with 70 strikeouts. While it's not alarming, it is slightly higher than some other Top 100 outfielders, like Colt Emerson and Blake Mitchell, who hover in the low-to-mid 20% range. Still, Montgomery makes up for it with his on-base percentage and slugging ability as a switch-hitter.
