Taylor Swift's ‘The Life Of A Showgirl' Vinyl Variants Sell Out In Under An Hour
Last Updated: Taylor Swift's new vinyl editions of 'The Life of a Showgirl' sold out in less than an hour, continuing her streak of instant fan-favourite releases. Taylor Swift has once again proven her unmatched ability to captivate fans with collectible releases. Early Monday afternoon, Swift revealed two new vinyl variants of her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, as part of the 'Shiny Bug Collection" on her webstore. Fans didn't hesitate: both editions sold out in less than an hour, far faster than the advertised 48-hour sale window. Taylor Swift Puts Vinyl Variants of 'The Life of a Showgirl' Up for Sale The new LPs feature the same showgirl-themed cover photography of Swift but differ in the colouring of the album title logo and the vinyl itself. One edition showcases 'violet shimmer marbled" vinyl, while the other features a 'wintergreen and onyx marbled" design. These are one-time-only releases, building on Swift's strategy of offering limited-edition collectibles that ignite fan frenzy. Fans Snap Up Collectibles Amid Showgirl-Themed Album Hype This rapid sell-out follows the launch of three deluxe CD variants last week, each of which also sold out quickly, though not as instantly as the vinyl editions. The covers for all editions of The Life of a Showgirl continue the showgirl motif that reflects Swift's experiences balancing her personal life and professional career during the nearly two-year Eras Tour. The album's visuals are created in collaboration with photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, who have worked on previous Swift projects. The only vinyl still available is the standard 'sweat and vanilla perfume portofino orange glitter" edition, featuring Swift in a bejeweled costume in the bath. Unlike some previous releases, Swift confirmed in a podcast with Travis Kelce that the vinyl variants will not include extra tracks. Instead, the differences are entirely in packaging. As Swift explained, this 12-track album is the result of a meticulous focus on quality and thematic cohesion, ensuring every song contributes to the complete narrative she intended for Showgirl. Fans can expect Swift's signature attention to detail to continue influencing future merchandise drops, making each collectible highly sought-after. The instant sell-out of the Shiny Bug Collection vinyls demonstrates both her enduring fan loyalty and the power of limited-edition physical releases in today's streaming-focused music industry. Priyanka Chopra Jonas has built an extraordinary career across Bollywood and Hollywood, yet Indian audiences still long for her return to Hindi cinema. After making her mark in films like Fashion, Barfi! and Bajirao Mastani, Priyanka expanded into Hollywood, winning global recognition through projects like Quantico and Citadel. Ex-IND Spinner 'Lucky' To Play With Sachin, Sourav, Dravid & VVS But Names WI Legend As 'Inspiration'
Last Updated: Murali Kartik credits his cricket inspiration to West Indies legend Sir Garfield Sobers but feels blessed to have mentors like Bedi and Singh and to play with Tendulkar and Dravid. Former India spinner Murali Kartik has shared insights into his cricketing journey, attributing his inspiration to West Indies cricket and the legendary Sir Garfield Sobers. 'Look, I've had the good fortune of taking up the sport because of West Indies cricket, to be very honest. For me, Sir Garfield (Sobers) was a great inspiration. I don't know if many people know about that, but I took up the sport because of West Indies cricket, and Sir Garfield Sobers was the inspiration," Kartik was quoted as saying to ANI. What Murali Kartik Said About Indian Cricketers? The left-arm spinner, who later represented India, expressed his gratitude for having Bishan Singh Bedi and Maninder Singh as mentors. 'As and when I became a left-arm spinner, I was lucky enough that I had the great Bishan Bedi and Maninder Singh as my mentor and guru. So for me, it's just been an absolutely brilliant journey," he added. Reflecting on his career, which spanned over two decades, Kartik considered himself blessed to play alongside some of India's finest cricketers. 'God was kind enough, I ended up playing the sport for twenty-six long years at various levels. I was also very lucky that I played possibly in one of the best generations with the likes of Sachin (Tendulkar), (Virender) Sehwag, Rahul (Dravid), (VVS) Laxman, Sourav (Ganguly), Zaheer (Khan), Ajit (Agarkar), (Javagal) Srinath, (Anil) Kumble, Harbhajan (Singh), the three of us as spinners, so, I can't ask for more, (Mohammed) Azharuddin was my captain at one stage. So it's just been a really nice journey," he said. On 'The Great Indian Cricket Show', Kartik also discussed storytelling in cricket, emphasising that behind every performance lies a tale of sacrifice and inspiration. 'Every story has a backstory, and the cricketers we watch or are inspired by. They've all had a story, even the other ones who aren't talked about. I think all of them have a story," he said. He added, 'With the help of explanations regarding statistics and all the technology, I think it should be a wonderful view because, at the end of the day, that is what inspires us. We all love a good story, and I always say this in sports: there is a lot of blood, sweat, and sacrifice involved, which any sports person has made, whether it's cricket or otherwise. So you have that story, and what has happened or transpired from it. I think that making a difference is what I feel."
