There's still a lot of love in this quarter for Jan de Bont's 1996 film Twister, but it was inevitable that advancements in effects would lead to a big-budget reboot. Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, the action-stuffed thriller stars Daisy Edgar-Jones in the Helen Hunt role as meteorologist Kate, back in the tornado-hunting game in Arkansas after a death caused her to quit. Glen Powell is a mix of Cary Elwes and Bill Paxton as storm-chasing YouTuber Tyler, whose publicity-seeking antics hide a kindred spirit to Kate, as they try to understand and survive the mighty wind. Fall (Scott Mann, 2022), 10.30pm, BBC OneIf you've got vertigo, then look away now – because Scott Mann's thriller would give a trapeze artist sweaty palms. Grace Caroline Currey plays Becky, who gave up rock climbing a year prior to the film's events after her husband fell to his death. But risk-taking best mate Hunter (Virginia Gardner) persuades her to team up and scale a decommissioned 2,000ft TV tower in the middle of nowhere. Naturally, rusty bolts give way, the ladder collapses and the friends are stranded on a tiny platform at the top with no phone signal. A what-if story, the restricted setting of which only ramps up the tension. SW

Film director Steven Spielberg is also a fan. The series, starring Owen Cooper and Stephen Graham, tells the story of a 13-year-old schoolboy accused of murdering a girl in his class after being brainwashed by misogynistic online content. Director Philip Barantini said: 'I am getting messages, inundated on Instagram, from people from all over the world who can relate to this story or have really been affected by it. 'That, for me, has blown my mind a little bit.' Speaking in a masterclass with the Royal Television Society, he added: 'I had a text message from Steven Spielberg who has watched it twice and I got letters from Adele last week — handwritten letters from Adele.' He continued: 'I mean, just like saying that she had watched it with her son and it has changed their relationship. 'Things like that are just beyond anything I ever imagined from this little show that we made with our family. 'You see things like Baby Reindeer and all of those shows — they come out and then they just blow up. 'It's a huge thing and that is the power of Netflix. Adolescence has amassed 141.2million views since its debut on the streamer on March 13. It has also triggered a national debate and led to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer saying schools should show it to children. Sir Keir said he watched the series with his 14-year-old daughter and son, 16. He added: 'As a dad, I have not found it easy viewing.'

The 30-year-old Italian TV personality has celebrated his one-year anniversary with Iris Au, who is known as EyeRize online, and shared a sweet video montage of them to mark the occasion. The clip included some of the moments they enjoyed together over the past year, including dates and holidays. Davide can be seen giving his partner a huge bouquet of roses in the video, with another clip showing them kissing on the beach. He captioned the post "ONE," followed by a red heard emoji, adding: "Happy Anniversary." Davide, who has embarked on a new life in Los Angeles, went public with his romance with Iris in January. Davide shot to fame after winning Love Island with his ex Ekin-Su in 2022 - but the pair had a tumultuous relationship and split the following year. Thank you all so much for the love and support over the past few months. We're both focusing on navigating this transition and would really appreciate privacy during this time. Love always, Ekin-Su xX." Although Ekin-Su didn't give a straightforward reason for their split, she had been the centre of drama between Curtis and MAFS star Georges Berthonneau in recent weeks. The Married At First Sight star previously alleged he was in a relationship with the brunette beauty while she was dating Curtis. Speaking on Fubar Radio, Georges claimed: "On the day before my birthday, she was out with him that night, and they'd had an argument. She was messaging me whilst he was asleep in bed with her being like, I need to see you. Blah, blah, blah, like, I've got the receipts on my phone." He added: "Everyone was like 'why are you saying it now?', because I loved the girl and I didn't want to let go of it. And my biggest thing was, why should I keep protecting someone who can't even apologise or take accountability." He continued: "I even said to her on the phone, I was like 'are you not going to apologise?' You had sex with another man whilst I was at home. And you're not even going to apologise." Curtis later broke his silence and told The Sun: "Hey, if he wants to get in the ring with me, tell him to call me out and let's get in the ring. I've just been focusing on the camp. I haven't read anything or done anything, truthfully. And that's all that matters to me. I'm focusing on the camp, I'm focusing on having fun with Ekin and that's all that matters to me."
