Synopsis Arjun Tendulkar, son of Sachin Tendulkar, recently got engaged to Saaniya Chandok, granddaughter of Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai. Ghai, head of the Graviss Group, is currently embroiled in a family dispute with his son, Gaurav Ghai, over control of the company. Ravi Ghai accused Gaurav of fraud and misuse of authority, but police deemed it a family matter for arbitration. Agencies Ravi Ghai's relation with Saaniya Chandok and Arjun Tendulkar Arjun Tendulkar, son of former Indian cricket captain Sachin Tendulkar, is engaged to Saaniya Chandok, the granddaughter of Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai. The engagement took place in a private ceremony attended by close friends and Ghai heads the Graviss Group, which operates in the hospitality and food sectors. He is associated with the InterContinental Hotel at Marine Drive and owns The Brooklyn Creamery brand. A graduate of Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, Ghai took over his father Iqbal Krishan Ghai's business in 1967. Over the years, he launched Kwality Ice Cream and Natraj Hotel (now InterContinental) and introduced the Baskin-Robbins franchise in the SAARC region. He is the Non-Executive Chairman of Graviss Hospitality Ltd and holds positions in other entities, including Kwality Read Estates Pvt Ltd and Perfect Livestock LLP. According to a Free Press Journal report, Ghai filed a complaint at Mumbai's Marine Drive Police Station accusing his son, Gaurav Ghai, of forging his signature, committing fraud, and taking control of the company while ending his monthly allowances during his cancer stated: "My sign misused for supplementary family settlement. I have four children. My wife is Gita Ghai, and my children's names are Gaurav Ghai, Gaurika Ghai, Ravina Ghai, and Gayatri Ghai. Gita currently lives with my son. I own a business under the name Graviss Group, which includes Graviss Hospitality and Graviss Food Solutions. I was the 100% owner of these companies. I restructured my business in 2001, and I am the founder of this business."Ghai alleged that after returning from cancer treatment, Gaurav and his wife, Sunita, sought his signatures on various documents. He signed without suspecting wrongdoing but later learned from his chief financial officer that Gaurav had made himself the self-proclaimed chairman of the company and taken control. Ravi said: 'I did not suspect my son or his wife, nor did I have the physical or mental condition to suspect what was happening. After that, in January 2025, I did not get any money from Gaurav. When I asked, he said, 'Wait a bit, the money will come'. Till April I did not receive any money. Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, got engaged to Saaniya Chandhok on Wednesday in a private ceremony, Indian Today reported. The 25-year-old Arjun currently plays for Goa in domestic cricket after making a move from Mumbai. He is also a part of the Mumbai Indians squad in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In 17 first-class matches, Arjun has taken 37 wickets, including a five-wicket haul, and scored 532 runs. He has one century and two fifties to his name. Meanwhile, Saaniya Chandhok is reportedly the daughter of Mumbai businessman Gaurav Ghai and the granddaughter of tycoon Ravi Ghai, who heads the Graviss Group, a hospitality, frozen food and real estate conglomerate. The Graviss Group runs the Baskin Robbins' India operations. As per the Economic Times, Graviss Food Solutions Private Limited posted a revenue of Rs 624 crore in FY23-24, a 20% rise from the previous year. Its authorised capital stands at ₹2.23 crore, with a paid-up capital of Rs 90,100. While it's not known if Saaniya Chandhok is also involved with the Graviss Group, it has been reported that she runs the Mr. Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP, a pet grooming and care business based out of Mumbai since 2022. Family feud in Ghai family As per a report in the Free Press Journal, the relationship between Ravi and his son Gaurav is not very good. Ravi, in July 2025, filed a complaint at Mumbai's Marine Drive Police Station against his son, accusing him of forgery and taking control of the Graviss Group by fraud. Ravi claimed that the forgery took place when he was recovering from a cancer treatment, as his son created a supplementary Family Settlement Agreement using his forged signature and took full control of the company. He also stopped Ravi's monthly allowance of Rs 12.5 lakh. 'Whenever I returned to India after receiving treatment, Gaurav and his wife Sumita would come to me and ask for my signatures on various documents, stating that they were necessary for the business. Since I was distressed due to my illness and had no reason to suspect my son, I would sign the documents brought by my son and daughter-in-law without thoroughly examining them. During this period, Gaurav used to give me Rs 12.5 lakh per month for my expenses," his complaint read. 'I did not suspect my son or his wife, nor did I have the physical or mental condition to suspect what was happening. After that, in January 2025, I did not get any money from Gaurav.
