Spanish holiday hotspots Lanzarote and Tenerife are both tied for third with the Algarve in Portugal at £2.09, making all three destinations affordable options for sun-seekers.
Meanwhile, five of the top 20 cheapest destinations for a pint can be found in the UK, analysis by credit card provider Aqua found.
Llandudno in Conwy is the cheapest in Britain, with pints at just £2.71.
The Lake District, Forest of Dean, the Cotswolds (all £3) and Blackpool (£3.25) are not too far behind.
But at the other end of the scale, Brighton is the most expensive out of 50 locations checked by researchers.
It costs £6.30 to get a beer in the East Sussex resort — 10p pricier than even the average in London of £6.20, which was second dearest.
RETURNS FIRE
DOZENS of retailers, including New Look, Selfridges and The Range are misleading customers about their online return rights, says MoneySavingExpert.com.
Many stores are enforcing stricter policies than the law permits, the site found.
Some state items must be returned within 14 days but shoppers are entitled to 28 days.
MSE founder Martin Lewis said: 'We are contacting each store about its breach.'

SHELL SHOCKS
SHELL has warned of lower than expected trading for its gas division as it struggles with a volatile market.
Shares fell 3 per cent as the company — which denied rumours of a BP takeover last month — predicted weaker profits.
RBC downgraded its forecast for Shell's second-quarter net income to £2.6billion from £3.5billion, while Citi analysts cut theirs to £3billion from £4.6billion.
JAGUAR'S SALES MISERY
JAGUAR LAND ROVER sales have tumbled after it halted exports to the US and wound down older models.
Retail sales fell 15.1 per cent to 94,420 units in the three months to June, while wholesale sales dropped 10.7 per cent to 87,286.
One factor was US tariffs, another was Jaguar 's decision to stop selling in the UK, ahead of a shift to all-electric 2026 models.
As a result, Range Rover Sport and Defender models represented 77.2 per cent of all sales, up from 67.8 per cent a year earlier.

Venture Global wins arbitration case against Shell over contracted LNG cargoes
HOUSTON, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Venture Global (VG.N), opens new tab has won a legal battle against Shell(SHEL.L), opens new tab over its failure to deliver liquefied natural gas under long-term contracts starting in 2023, the U.S. LNG major said on Tuesday. Firms, including Shell, BP (BP.L), opens new tab, Edison ( opens new tab and Galp ( opens new tab, filed arbitration claims starting in 2023, accusing Venture Global of profiting from the sale of LNG on the spot market while not providing them with their contracted cargoes from the Calcasieu Pass export facility in Louisiana. The companies accused Venture Global of profiteering by selling commissioning cargoes at higher spot market prices, rather than at long term contracted prices. "We are disappointed with the outcome but respect the Tribunal's decision," Shell said in a statement to Reuters. Trust in long-term contracts is the bedrock of the LNG industry and essential for continued investment and sustainable growth, the company statement said. The tribunal's determination reaffirms Venture Global has consistently honored its agreements its customers, the Arlington based company said on Tuesday. Venture Global denied the claim, saying it delayed moving to commercial operations because of a faulty electric system that did not allow the plant to operate optimally. Earlier on Tuesday, Venture Global said it estimates a penalty of up to $1.6 billion if it loses the arbitration cases, according to its second-quarter earnings report. Some of the companies involved in the arbitration were pushing for a higher penalty, the report said.

United Airlines flight canceled after female passenger had 'biohazard' diarrhea that destroyed bathroom
A woman has freely admitted that she caused a United Airlines flight to be canceled after spending an hour and a half destroying the plane's tiny bathroom with her diarrhea and vomit. Meghan Reinertsen, a writer and actor, said the nightmare journey happened about a year ago when she was coming home from Portugal. The first symptoms of what she would later find out was food poisoning struck her at Newark Liberty International Airport just moments before she was supposed to board her connecting flight back to Indianapolis. 'Something is brewing. Something is happening that I am not prepared to deal with,' she said in a TikTok video that has gotten nearly 20 million views. Despite her reservations, she boarded the plane and 'hoped for the best'. She spent the next 30 minutes in her window seat crying, sweating profusely and writhing in abject pain. The plane eventually took off. For much of that time, she was only staying seated because the seatbelt sign was on, but at some point, she remembered the story of the woman on a Delta plane who pooped her pants in her seat mid-flight. 'I couldn't let that happen to me,' she said. 'I make it to the bathroom, and for the next 20 minutes I have more diarrhea than any human should ever have in their life.' While she was in the bathroom, she began feeling the urge to throw up as well. She said she panicked in the tiny, claustrophobic area before she had the presence of mind to scream for help from the flight attendants, who gave her bags. The flight crew allowed her to stay in the bathroom for the entire flight. They even got special clearance from the pilot to allow her to remain where she was for landing. Reinertsen said she couldn't make it back to her seat in her condition, which prompted the flight attendant to tell her through the door to 'brace for impact'. Once they were on the ground, she was told that the next flight with that plane had been canceled. 'A flight attendant comes over and says, "Everybody's off the plane now, go ahead and take your time and come out when you can, the next flight has been cancelled,"' Reinertsen said. 'In the moment, I'm not thinking it is because of me.' The flight attendant then told her that a hazmat team would be coming to clean up her mess. 'Got it, so you canceled that flight because of you don't know if I brought something back from Portugal. And I am a biohazard. I am patient zero,' she said. She even had to be put in a wheelchair when she was ready to disembark because she couldn't walk. 'They had to wheel me off this plane. I can't walk. They gotta get me in a wheelchair,' she said. They wheeled her to baggage claim where she had to endure the shocked stares of all her fellow passengers who undoubtedly knew she was the woman in the bathroom for the entire flight. Reinertsen said her devastating illness, which persisted days after the horrific flight, came as a result of eating an undercooked hamburger the night before her flight. United Airlines confirmed to Metro that this incident happened in July 2024. 'This incident occurred in July 2024. Our flight crew is trained to assist customers in situations like this and helped as much as they could during the flight and upon arrival in Indianapolis,' a spokesperson for the airline said in a statement.
