Australia's Bonds Flying Roos have reclaimed top spot on the overall SailGP season leaderboard after a hard-fought second place finish in a gripping podium final against Great Britain and France. The Aussies shone all weekend at the Germany Sail Grand Prix, delivering a podium result in all but one of the seven qualifying fleet races to enter the winner-takes-all podium final as the top team on event points. "Since the wing collapsed in San Francisco, we feel like we haven't been able to get back in there so this weekend, we're really glad with how we sailed. A big thanks to Sassnitz and Germany for putting it on," he added. The Aussies now top the season leaderboard on 61 points, with fierce rivals the Black Foils in second though with the same number of points. Emirates GBR are third on 58. Bonds Flying Roos strategist Tash Bryant said: "There were moments of frustrations today but the team dealt with it really well. We just kept building and looking for the next best thing. "In the Final, we had an unfortunate starting situation but we never gave up and kept fighting until the end. It was anyone's game the whole time, and I'm really proud of everyone on the team." Three events remain before the Grand Final in Abu Dhabi in November. The next round is in Saint-Tropez from September 12-13.

Ellyse Perry's Birmingham Phoenix were bowled out for just 76 as they slumped to their fourth defeat from five games in The Hundred with an 88-run thrashing at the hands of London Spirit. The defending champions struggled in the opening stages when Australian Georgia Redmayne was dismissed early without scoring and Emily Arlott bowled both Cordelia Griffith and Charli Knott.
