Over 30 food trucks bring fresh twists to Panama City Beach Food Truck Festival
BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – More than 30 food trucks lined up at Panama City Beach's Food Truck and Craft Beer Festival.
The event at Aaron Bessant Park quickly became a haven for foodies.
Local favorites were joined by new vendors bringing in fresh twists on classic dishes and innovative flavors. Families friends and food lovers strolled through the festival grounds in search of their favorite new meal.

Some vendors came from as far away as Pensacola to showcase their creations.
'We come from Pensacola. So the Jordan Valley Restaurant, Mediterranean restaurant, we actually have a brick-and-mortar in Pensacola. So it's a sit-down dine-in restaurant so we travel out here and we love serving food. we're looking forward maybe to a better day today. But it's great. I mean, that's kind of why we do it. We like to see people's smiles, know they like our food or, you know, so it's fun,' Food truck owners said.
Trucks offered everything from tacos to crepes to fried rice and jerky, alongside the tasty food, the event featured craft drinks to flush it down.
Vendors also set up shops to sell clothes, jewelry, and more.
'They're here at 6 a.m. prepping the food. The staff is here. These are mobile kitchens. It's a restaurant on wheels. It's not easy to support them. It's a sport. These are guys that have ten by ten tents that are selling the jewelry, homemade jewelry, and all the clothing and that sort of stuff,' Food Truck Festivals of America owner Anthony Pepe said.
Pepe says each year the crowd keeps getting bigger and bigger.

'I don't want to leave and I don't think these food trucks want to leave. The patrons last night, we had to kick them out. And we had a record crowd here yesterday. It was unbelievable. Today is a little slower, but it's still fantastic. And these food trucks are cooking the best food,' Pepe said.
Pepe says he's planning on adding more food trucks and craft vendors for next year's event.

Community gathers for 34th Strawberry Days Festival in Grove City
GROVE CITY, Pa. (WKBN) — The rain didn't stop people from enjoying a summer tradition in Grove City on Sunday afternoon. It was the last day of the 34th Strawberry Days Festival at Grove City Memorial Park on West Main Street. There were 32 new vendors selling items such as woodwork, jewelry, candles, pottery and art. Other vendors offered wood carvings, pet supplies, tumblers, mugs, donuts, hot sauces and dips. Event organizer Mary Kay Mattocks says it's fun for the whole family. '176 crafters, there is 18 nonprofit food vendors that are all local food vendors. We have a children's shortcake patch for children,' Mattocks. The festival goes until 9 p.m. and is free to get in. 'Our parade was about half the size': Rain-filled week hurts Lebanon Route 66 Festival turnout
Lebanon, MO — The annual Lebanon Route 66 Festival was held at Boswell Park on June 7. As always, the event featured food vendors, games and live music for families to enjoy. 'It's been a great event.' Bruce Owen, president of the Lebanon of Laclede County Route 66 Society said. 'People come from overseas to see it and everything, it's just a big thing.' While the festival saw positive reception from attendees, Owens states that the heavy rain and flooding during the week caused fewer people to show up this year. 'We usually have a lot more,' Owen said, 'But it was raining this morning, and a lot of people won't get their antique or classic cars out in the rain. Our parade was about half the size and our whole car show was about half the size.' Despite the lower turnout, he says that it was 'more than we expected' and that 'we are happy with how it turned out.' Owen believes that it is important for Lebanon, both economically and culturally, to continue to hold the Route 66 Festival for years to come. 'It's for our city,' said Owen. 'We're showing our support and what our 66 really is, you know, we wouldn't be here as a town probably as big or as industrial if it weren't for our 66.' Springfield was recently announced as the host city for two Birthplace of Route 66 Festivals: the first starting in August 2025, while the larger event will take place sometime in 2026, which will be broadcast nationwide.
