BPD looking for missing 14-year-old boy
The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a missing boy who is considered to be at risk because he has no history of running away and because of his age.
Cameron Davis, 14, was last Sunday in the 1100 block of Sandra Drive. He is described as Black, 5 feet, 4 inches, 100 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
BPD asks that anyone with information call 661-327-7111.

Children who read three books and submit information about their readings will receive a Certificate of Achievement from Webb. Parents and guardians from across New York State are encouraged to enroll their children in the activity by filling out a short form detailing the books read by their child this summer. Crime Stoppers seeking tips in attempted $3,200 theft from Champaign Meijer
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The Champaign Police Department is asking for help through Crime Stoppers in finding the people who stole $800 worth of merchandise from Meijer, but tried to get away with four times more in value. Officials said the theft happened the night of May 28. At approximately 9:12 p.m., three people walked into Champaign's Meijer at 2401 North Prospect Avenue and loaded several totes with merchandise, which they then put into a cart. One of the subjects was wearing a black and yellow Meijer jacket, and they pushed the cart outside and met up with the others. Two teens hurt, one critically, in Champaign shooting Sunday night The total amount of merchandise they had was more than $3,200, but loss prevention staff confronted them and recovered 75% of what the trio tried to steal. Officials said they still got away with $800 worth of merchandise. The trio was recorded on camera as the theft happened. They were described as: A male of unknown race, 26-35 years old, approximately 5′ 3″ to 5′ 9″ tall with an average build. He was wearing a black and yellow Meijer jacket, a black cap, a surgical mask and khaki pants A Black male, 26-35 years old, approximately 5′ 3″ to 5′ 9″ tall with a slender build. She was wearing a black hoodie, gray sweatpants, sunglasses, and had short gray hair. Man found guilty in shooting death of New Jersey councilwoman
A New Jersey jury convicted Rashid Ali Bynum of murder on Monday in the gunning down of a Republican councilwoman earlier this year. The victim, Eunice Dwumfour, was serving as the first Black member of the Sayreville city council. Middlesex County Superior Court Judge Joseph Paone has set Bynum's sentencing date for Aug. 18. He faces 30 years to life in prison. Bynum was a member of Dwumfour's congregation years ago, according to Christian Onuoha, who was Dwumfour's colleague on the borough council and also a member of her church. "She was his pastor around 2018," he told Fox News Digital. "That was the last time any of us remember seeing him."
