There's nothing more figure-flattering than a crinkle swimsuit – 13 styles I'm adding to my holiday wish list
We can't pinpoint the exact moment when the 'crinkled' swimsuit became the ultimate summer holiday staple, but we can certainly point out the brand that's led the hugely flattering swimwear trend, and that's celebrity-loved label Hunza G.
The London-founded brand has been around since the 80s, when it was known as Hunza, but its trademarked Original Crinkle fabrication first became recognisable in the 90s, when Julia Roberts wore that crimped blue-and-white cutout dress in Pretty Woman.
In 2015, the swimwear label relaunched as Hunza G by its current creative director, Georgiana Huddart, and the brand's one-size-fits-all swimsuits have since been popularised by It-girls such as Alexa Chung, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Hailey Bieber and Dua Lipa.
Pamela Swim - Hunza G
Hunza G's designs are simple – other than a couple of striped and metallic iterations, suits come in solid colourways with either a square, scoop, V, strapless or one-shoulder neckline. That's because the brand knows the real star of the show is its iconic Original Crinkle fabric.
Sometimes referred to as 'popcorn' fabric, it's figure-hugging while smoothing out every curve because it stretches to mould to your body. (As someone who owns one of their square neck numbers, I can confirm it's the most flattering swimsuit I've ever slipped on.)
While I think Hunza G's one-pieces are worth every penny, I have to admit the offering on the high street from brands like H&M, Free People and Bravissimo is strong this season. Ahead, you'll find my pick of the 13 best crinkle swimsuits to shop for SS25.

Stars congratulate Lionesses on Euros victory as Amanda Holden, Alan Carr, Ashley James and Stacey Solomon lead celebs sharing their celebrations
The Lionesses were crowned champions in Sunday's Euros final and the proud celebs of the country were quick to come out and celebrate the team online. The team roared to victory in the women's final following a nail-biting game, which finished with an incredible 3-1 penalty shoot out win. Stars filmed the tense moment Chloe Kelly scored the winning goal and shared their jubilant celebrations online moments after. Amanda Holden was with her co-star and friend Alan Carr watching the game with their film screw while away shooting Amanda & Alan's Greek Job. The TV personality shared the moment that England won the match and then a further clip of herself and Alan singing along to the Three Lions song. Ashley James also filmed the same moment and showed her family jumping for joy as they celebrated Kelly's successful penalty. Stacey Solomon tuned into the game from Pickle Cottage and videoed her children dancing around the room when England were crowned champions. After a gruelling 120 minutes of play against the World Cup winners and holding their nerve through penalties, the England players have gone wild with celebrations. It was Chloe Kelly again who scored the decisive goal after coolly slotting the crucial penalty into the back of the net, following two huge saves from goalkeeper Hannah Hampton. England won the shootout 3-1 after an initial scare when Beth Mead slipped on the opening kick. Supporters stood on tables, waved flags, threw drinks in the air and excitedly hugged each other as England claimed victory, while the Prince of Wales and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer watched on from the stands in Basel, Switzerland. Fans draped in England flags joined the Prince of Wales and his daughter Princess Charlotte in holding their heads in their hands as Mariona Caldentey put Spain 1-0 up at the end of the first half. But thankfully Arsenal striker Alessia Russo managed to successfully divert Chloe Kelly 's cross into the back of the net in the 57th minute - sending Lionesses supporters into raptures and equalising the score. Sir Keir Starmer has congratulated the Lionesses on retaining their Euros title. In a post on X, the Prime Minister said: 'Champions! Congratulations @Lionesses - what a team. What a game. What drama. 'You dug deep when it mattered most and you've made the nation proud. History makers.' William and Charlotte were pictured in Switzerland for the Euros final as the royal family led the nation in wishing good luck to England's Lionesses. Shortly before kick-off, an image of the pair was posted on the Prince and Princess of Wales 's X account with the caption 'let's go, Lionesses'. The Prince of Wales, who is patron of the Football Association (FA), applauded the national anthem as he stood next to Charlotte in the stadium. He was also joined by Sir Keir Starmer and his wife, Victoria. In a show of support ahead of the final, the Band of the Grenadier Guards performed Three Lions on the Buckingham Palace forecourt, while the royal family's official X account posted: 'Wishing the very best of luck to the @Lionesses in the Women's Euro Final this evening.'

Major update in MasterChef saga as embattled BBC forge ahead with new series
SCANDAL-hit MasterChef is casting for contestants for a new series. The BBC show put out an internet plea days after confirming it would air episodes already filmed with Gregg Wallace and John Torode, despite both being axed. Bosses said the decision came 'after consultation with the contestants'. Earlier this month, a report revealed more than 40 historic complaints against Wallace had been upheld, along with a claim that Torode once used a racist term. The BBC said it had taken the decision 'after consultation with the contestants' but some of the women who came forward with claims against Wallace have slammed the move. Saturday Kitchen 's Matt Tebbutt is expected to be the new host, with Great British Menu star Andi Oliver also in the frame. Production firm Banijay posted: 'For over 20 years we have been putting Britain's best food talents through their paces. 'Cooking doesn't get tougher than this. 'Whether you're an amateur cook looking to showcase your home-taught skills or a professional chef wanting to take your career to the next level you can apply for a UK MasterChef series below.' Hopefuls can apply online at Shamed Gregg Wallace says 'I'm no groper, sex pest or flasher,' as tearful star refuses to accept blame for BBC sacking 1

Hundreds of Nigerian migrants are allowed into Britain after using visa scheme for authors, poets and storytellers
Hundreds of Nigerian migrants are cheating the system by using a visa scheme meant for authors and other literary creatives. They have made the most applications for the scheme, which also covers poets, oral storytellers and creators of graphic novels and comics. Those who are successful are able to bring their family into the UK as dependents and stay for up to five years at a time. The Nigerian migrants have also been the most successful in their applications, endorsed by the government quango Arts Council England, which can review and bolster applications for 'Global Talent' visas. This includes those with exceptional talents in music, theatre and dance and those applying are expected to prove their skills. Nigerians have put in 125 applications to the literature category over the past five years - more than double the 61 received from the US and far more than nations like Australia, Canada and New Zealand combined. Of those, 70 were rejected, and 54 were endorsed – more than any other country represented in official figures. The number of Global Talent visa applications being submitted from Nigeria has risen by 2,225 per cent since 2019. There were just 12 applications in 2019, but this rose to 279 in 2024, figures from The Telegraph revealed. Across that entire period, Nigerians made 729 applications across the Global Talent categories in dance, fashion, music, film and TV, theatre, combined arts, and visual arts. They came second to the US who submitted 977. However, Nigeria had the lowest number of endorsements after Ghana, with just 59 per cent. Russia have submitted 725 applications, china had 492, Australia with 233 and India with 160. Since 2019, more than 5,000 applications have been made across all nationalities, with 3,600 endorsed by the Arts Council. Immigration has reached record number for illegal and legal arrivals, as Labour face mounting pressures to curb the soaring number of migrants. The Home Office has not revealed how many of these endorsements then lead to visas being signed off.
