Foreign Ministry condemns fallacies in EU council conclusions on Yemen
Sana'a - Saba:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned on Tuesday the fallacies contained in the European Union Council conclusions on Yemen.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated that those threatening regional peace and stability, global trade, and freedom of navigation are the usurping Zionist entity, which is committing unprecedented genocidal crimes in Gaza. The Ministry also reiterated the countries that have brought their ships and fleets from far and wide to the Red Sea and militarized it to protect the Zionist entity.
The Ministry stressed that the European Union should have exerted real pressure on the Zionist entity to halt the genocidal crimes it is committing in Gaza with American and European weapons and condemned the American-Zionist attacks on civilians and civilian objects in Yemen, instead of demanding an end to Yemeni attacks on the Zionist entity and claiming to protect human rights.
The Ministry also reiterated that the maritime ban is limited to the Zionist entity only, and came after the international community, including the European Union, failed to lift the blockade imposed on Gaza and halt the genocide crimes that have been ongoing for more than 19 months.
The statement explained that this Yemeni religious, humanitarian, and moral position is consistent with international humanitarian law, which emphasizes the need for all parties to this law to respect it and ensure its respect by others.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also affirmed Yemen's commitment to the safety and security of the Red Sea and its categorical rejection of its militarization and the restriction of its protection to coastal states. It noted that the United States was the one obstructing peace efforts in Yemen after a roadmap was reached, due to Yemen's position on the aggression on Gaza.
The statement indicated that the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Yemen is the result of the aggression and blockade imposed on Yemen for ten years, which has created the worst man-made humanitarian crisis in history. It is also the politicization of humanitarian aid by many countries, including European countries, due to Yemen's support for the Palestinian people.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs concluded its statement by affirming the Republic of Yemen's continued support for Gaza, including by banning maritime and air navigation to the usurping Zionist entity until it ends its aggression and lifts its blockade of Gaza.

Popular Front for Liberation of Palestine: U.S. Veto confirms direct complicity in Gaza Genocide
Gaza – SABA: The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) strongly condemned the U.S. administration's use of the veto at the United Nations Security Council on Wednesday, which blocked a draft resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the PFLP described this move as a brazen continuation of the U.S. role in covering up the ongoing genocide committed by the Zionist enemy against the Palestinian people. The statement read: 'It is not surprising that the U.S. administration would take such a position. It is directly participating in the aggression on Gaza by supplying the Zionist enemy with the most lethal internationally banned weapons, while granting it political and legal cover to continue its dirty war against our defenseless people.' The PFLP emphasized that the U.S. veto represents a deliberate insistence by the U.S. administration on direct involvement in the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, making it morally and legally responsible for the massacres and genocide being committed—particularly against children, women, civilians, and the displaced. The group further stated that the American veto is another chapter in the historical hostility of successive U.S. administrations toward the Palestinian people. It exposes the deep moral hypocrisy in American policy, which justifies the crimes of the Zionist enemy and gives it a green light to continue the slaughter. The PFLP held the U.S. fully responsible for this decision and called on freedom-loving people within the United States to stand against these criminal policies and to continue efforts aimed at ending the U.S. complicity with the Zionist entity in the atrocities being committed against the Palestinian people. U.S. Veto Blocks UN Security Council Resolution to Stop Genocide in Gaza
New York – SABA: The United Nations Security Council failed to pass a resolution on Wednesday evening calling for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, after the United States used its veto power to block the measure. The draft resolution, submitted by several member states including Algeria, Slovenia, and Denmark, called for an immediate halt to hostilities in Gaza. The U.S. veto demonstrated Washington's ongoing support for the Israeli occupation, which continues to commit acts of genocide and daily massacres against the Palestinian people in Gaza. Fourteen out of the fifteen Security Council members voted in favor of the resolution. Only the United States voted against, using its veto to prevent its adoption. With continued American and European backing, the Israeli military has, since October 7, 2023, carried out a campaign in Gaza that has resulted in the martyrdom of 54,607 Palestinians, most of them women and children, and the injury of 125,341 others. These figures remain incomplete, as thousands of victims are still trapped under rubble and in streets unreachable by rescue and medical crews. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (International)

Hamas: Settler Crimes in Deir Dibwan Are Part of Israel's Ongoing Judaization and Eradication Policy
Gaza – SABA: The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) condemned the recent crimes committed by Israeli settlers in the town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah, on Wednesday evening, describing them as a continuation of the Zionist eradication and Judaization policy pursued by the far-right Israeli occupation government. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), Hamas denounced the escalating attacks carried out by settler militias, which are backed by the Israeli army, across the occupied West Bank. The statement specifically highlighted the violent assault on Deir Dibwan, during which settlers targeted Palestinian homes and property, in addition to a broader pattern of systematic abuse and aggression throughout West Bank towns and villages. Hamas stated: 'These attacks, occurring alongside intensified settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, represent the practical implementation of silent annexation and forced displacement plans, even in the absence of formal declarations.' The movement emphasized that the settlers' crimes, committed with full protection and support from their fascist government, will not deter the Palestinian people from holding onto their land and rights. Instead, such actions will fuel greater resilience, determination, and resistance. Hamas called upon all Palestinians, factions, and resistance movements in the West Bank to unify and confront settler terrorism, defend the land, people, and holy sites, and escalate all forms of resistance against the Israeli occupation wherever it exists. The movement also urged the Palestinian Authority and its security forces to fulfill their national responsibilities at this critical moment by defending the people and responding to these grave and ongoing crimes.
