Man, 53, dies in electronic scooter crash in McHenry County
Lake County coroners identified the victim as Bruce Neiswanger, of McHenry County.
Officials say county first responders arrived in the 5000 block of South Wildwood Drive on Saturday, May 24, just before 10 a.m. At the scene, emergency crews encountered 'an unconscious and unresponsive' Neiswanger receiving CPR from bystanders.

Paramedics rushed the victim to a nearby hospital's intensive care unit, where he was pronounced dead one day later on Sunday, May 25.
The crash remains under investigation by the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.

13-year-old girl missing in Jasper County since Monday
JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) — A 13-year-old girl has been missing in Jasper County since Monday morning, where she was last seen on her way to the bus stop, the Jasper County Sheriff's Office said. Maria del Pilar Estudillo Gordillo, who goes by Pili, is five-foot-tall and weighs approximately 115 pounds. She does not speak English. SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) – The Shaker Heights cheerleader whose leg needed to be amputated after an unthinkable diagnosis celebrated a big milestone on Friday. Amani Smith was released from Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, weeks after doctors were forced to amputate her left leg. Amani and her family are thrilled to finally be home, but her major life change is only just beginning. The 17-year-old was at cheerleading camp earlier this summer when she started complaining about a stomach ache. Within hours, she was rushed into emergency surgery. Bernie Kosar not giving up as he waits on liver transplant Doctors at the time discovered a ruptured abdominal cyst and an infection led to sepsis, a potentially deadly condition. She had a stroke during surgery and her parents said a nicked artery during the procedure cut off blood flow to her left leg for hours. Doctors were forced to amputate and she was placed on life support for nearly a week. Now, Amani has recovered enough to return home and her family is navigating the next steps as she is determined to dance again.
