Bollywood
's suave star
Saif Ali Khan
, who is all set to hit the big screen with his upcoming film '
Jewel Thief-The Heist Begins
', opened up about the allure of playing a thief. Sharing his thoughts on the role, he said that there's something intriguing about portraying a character who operates outside the system.
Reflecting on playing Rehan Roy, Saif shares "Playing a thief in a
heist movie
is very interesting because he is someone who challenges the system, bending the rules, it's kind of fascinating to watch and read through and portray."
Saif's character Rehaan is a charming rogue with a penchant for rebellion, an adventurous spirit and a deep seated love for family.
He said that his character Rehaan "is a thief with organization, with swag, an adventurer at heart and a family man."

"He is the quintessential Hindi film hero in that sense- breaks rules, cons people but is kind at heart and you see the bigger picture. It was this dynamic that made him irresistible to portray and I believe attractive to watch."
'Jewel Thief-The Heist Begins' is directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal, the upcoming movie also stars
Jaideep Ahlawat
,
Nikita Dutta
and Kunal Kapoor.
However it wasn't just Rehaan's complexity that drew Saif in.
The actor explained: "You don't get offers like this everyday".
"It is addictive because you're living in an alternate universe full of energy. It is a world of red diamonds, mafia dons with guns, whiskey glasses being thrown at people's faces, people kicking you out of windows, high octane action, now robbing some museum, its action- packed yet fantastical."
He said Rehan's character is cool, larger than life set in this neon universe, feels like a comic book, so it is really cool and fun.
"Filming was so fun that when I got home, I was itching to come back and knew it would be weird when it's over. I think actors talk about how to get a film out of your system, I feel like this one will take time because I had an absolute blast shooting it," said the star.
'Jewel Thief- The Heist Begins' will stream on
Netflix
from April 25.

'She was not married but was just like...': Mumtaz reveals Rajesh Khanna loved another actress, not Dimple Kapadia, she is...

Rajesh Khanna was that star of stars. In the Bollywood industry, where stardom often fades with time, it was Rajesh Khanna's fame that remained evergreen. From Aradhana, Anand, Amar Prem, to Namak Haraam, Avishkaar, The Train, among others, Rajesh Khanna delivered superhit movies that the industry still remembers. Fondly called Kaka, Rajesh's professional life always remained in the headlines. However, it was his personal life that made fans curious too. Rajesh Khanna's controversial love affair was known to all. From marrying Dimple Kapadia at a young age to having a relationship with Tina Munim (now Tina Ambani), Kaka's love life was famous in every state of the nation. However, do you know that there was a person in Kaka's life who, though not married to him, remained with him just like a wife? Yes, the person here in discussion is veteran actress Anju Mahendru. Rajesh and Anju lived together like husband and wife for a long time, which is today called live-in. Rajesh Khanna's co-star Mumtaz revealed this secret relationship of Rajesh Khanna. In a podcast, Mumtaz clearly stated that Rajesh and Anju did not consider themselves less than husband and wife. Mumtaz said, 'Rajesh and Anju lived in the same house like husband and wife, they used to get up and sit together, eat and drink together — their relationship was no less than that of a husband and wife.' The veteran actress added, 'Yes, both of them were not married, but this relationship was no less than a marriage. They both loved each other very much.' It is worth noting that Rajesh's mother wanted him to get married soon, because he was 27 years old at that time. But when Rajesh proposed to Anju in 1971, she said that she wanted to postpone their marriage because she wanted to focus on building her career as an actress.

Box Office: Housefull 5 registers the 5th best advances for a Bollywood film in New Zealand; Kiwis remain loyal to their beloved comedy franchise

The much-anticipated Housefull 5 starring Akshay Kumar in the lead is gearing up for a good start at the global box office, with its advance bookings painting an encouraging picture, particularly in New Zealand. The fifth installment of the much-loved franchise has recorded a stellar USD 28,000 in gross advance bookings for its opening day in New Zealand. It has secured its place as the fifth-highest opener for a Bollywood film in the market. This figure propels Housefull 5 ahead of heavyweights like Tiger 3 (Saturday), Fighter (Thursday), and Dunki (Thursday), trailing only behind juggernauts such as Pathaan (Wednesday), Animal (Friday), Jawan (Thursday), and Padmaavat (Friday). This achievement is a testament to the franchise's longevity. The Housefull series has consistently struck a chord with New Zealand audiences. Its strong advance performance in New Zealand should come as no surprise, given that previous installments have also ranked among the top 10 Bollywood openers in the market during their respective release periods. Housefull 2 was the biggest Bollywood opener, Housefull 3 was the 6th biggest and Housefull 4 was the 3rd biggest. The franchise's signature mix of comedy, chaos, and chartbuster music continues to resonate with the Kiwis. Beyond New Zealand, the film is showing promising traction in other international markets. In Australia, advance bookings for the opening day have reached an impressive USD 67,000. The UAE, another key territory for Bollywood releases, is also witnessing solid momentum, with Vox Cinemas projected to sell approximately 10,000 tickets across its chain for the opening day. Meanwhile, in the Netherlands, advance bookings are trending toward a healthy 15,000 euros. These figures collectively point to a strong international opening for Housefull 5, with early estimates projecting a weekend in the range of USD 3.5 to 3.75 million. Akshay Kumar's Good Newwz may likely remain on top of this list because it had much better bookings than the upcoming release in a big traditional market like US-Canada. Coming to the movie's India bookings, Housefull 5 has sold a little over 80,000 tickets in the top national chains as at 10pm on the day before release and it should end in the vicinity of 90,000 tickets if the current trend holds up for the next couple of hours.
