ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)Abu Dhabi University's (ADU) Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP), has exceeded 4,000 research publications in the prestigious Scopus Index.The achievement reflects ADU's commitment to high-impact research that contributes to global discourse and addresses pressing societal challenges across diverse fields, including but not limited to engineering and technology, business, management and economics, health sciences, mathematics, and physical sciences.With 16.9 per cent of its research ranked among the world's top 10 per cent most cited publications and 27.5 per cent appearing in the top 10 per cent journals by CiteScore, ADU continues to elevate its scholarly influence.The university's research has collectively gathered 77,445 citations, with an impressive 19.4 citations per publication, underscoring the depth and significance of its contributions to the global academic landscape.Professor Montasir Qasymeh, Associate Provost for Research,Innovation and Academic Development at ADU, said: 'With over 4,000 Scopus-indexed publications and significant international collaborations, Abu Dhabi University continues to lead the way in groundbreaking research. From day one, we have tirelessly worked to enhance our research capabilities and expand our global impact."Such achievements reflect our commitment to advancing knowledge and addressing the world's most pressing challenges. Our faculty and researchers are not only pushing the scientific boundaries, but they are also driving meaningful global knowledge-sharing. By strengthening partnerships and promoting interdisciplinary research, we are actively contributing to the UAE's vision for an innovation-driven future, ensuring that our work has a tangible impact on both local and global communities."Furthermore, the university's Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) stands at 2.55, surpassing global benchmarks and highlighting the profound impact of its research initiatives. The excellence is underpinned by an extensive network of international collaborations, with 67.6 per cent of its publications stemming from partnerships with 2,471 institutions worldwide. These collaborations, including esteemed academic and research institutions such as Texas A&M University, USA, University of Oxford, UK and University of Louisville, USA, have resulted in 2,336 co-authored publications, further reflecting ADU's dedication to fostering interdisciplinary research and advancing cross-border scientific innovation.

TRENDS will participate in the 'Greater Eurasian Partnership: Development Strategy' Forum, organised by the International Organisation for Eurasian Cooperation (IOEC), over two days, August 20-21, in Moscow. The centre will also sign several strategic cooperation memoranda on the sidelines of the forum. Developing the Eurasian PartnershipThe Forum embodies the idea of international integration, establishes a broad Eurasian space based on equal partnership, promotes a multi-centred world order, and supports fair economic cooperation, in addition to aligning strategic interests and integrating infrastructure and trade systems. During the Forum's opening session, TRENDS will present a paper on 'The Role of Think Tanks and Their Contribution to the Development of the Greater Eurasian Partnership', and will also deliver distinguished scientific and knowledge-based contributions in two main sessions on ways to enhance business dialogue between Russia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC); and the role of digital technologies and industrial development in supporting prospects for cooperation. Intellectual Dialogue Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, stated that the research tour in Russia aims to enhance global intellectual dialogue and exchange perspectives on current issues, in addition to broadening the scope of research, scientific, and academic partnerships. He noted that the initiative also seeks to support purposeful knowledge and promote a culture of balanced scientific research, while enabling young researchers to participate in international forums and conferences, thereby equipping them with practical experience to lead the future of scientific research. Dr. Al-Ali emphasised that TRENDS' participation in the 'Greater Eurasian Partnership: Development Strategy' Forum underscores the vital role of think tanks as strategic bridges between governments, the business sector, and academic communities. He described them as global platforms that support knowledge and strengthen evidence-based policymaking, in addition to possessing forecasting and scenario-building tools essential for advancing Eurasian integration. He further explained that participation also seeks to strengthen relations with organizations such as the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), to foster a global intellectual dialogue built on mutual understanding and the exchange of scientific and knowledge-based expertise. Research and Scientific Cooperation At the level of strategic research partnerships, TRENDS, through its physical office in Russia, will sign two research and scientific cooperation memoranda with the International Organisation for Eurasian Cooperation (IOEC) and the Russian Valdai Discussion Club. The centre will also explore mechanisms to enhance cooperation and partnerships with several Russian research and academic institutions. In a related context, TRENDS will also participate in the session 'Women in Diplomacy: Pathways of Inspiration and Global Influence', organised by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Russia on August 26, 2025. This session will present the experiences of women diplomats from various countries, sharing inspiring success stories on how they fulfilled their aspirations and rose to senior diplomatic positions. Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Abu Dhabi University (ADU) and Knowledge Group concluded the ExxonMobil Future STEM Leaders Summer Camp, a two-week immersive program designed to inspire the UAE's next generation of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) innovators. Held recently at ADU's Abu Dhabi campus, the camp brought together over 35 high-achieving Emirati high school students for an intensive learning journey that blended technical skill-building with industry exposure. The program delivered hands-on workshops in high-demand and future-focused topics including Drone Engineering, Data Analytics and Visualization, Robotics, Structural Engineering, Water Treatment, and Plastic Waste Recycling, alongside career-focused sessions and life-skills development.
