APD says the individuals immediately alerted a security guard in the area. Police are not sharing details of the gender of the newborn or ow long the baby may have been in the dumpster. Police believe whoever the mother is may need medical attention. They are urging anyone with information to come forward.

APS says the class of 2024 had a nearly 76% graduation rate, up from roughly 72% the previous year. They say increasing attendance and an early warning system to let students know about low grades have helped improve student success. The district's graduation rate is still below the 87% national average.

Love in the Clouds premieres on Hallmark on May 10.

Like the Grover Cleveland student, Contreras was detained in May during a routine immigration court hearing. According to Chalkbeat, he "fled his home country last year and turned himself in at the U.S. border in April 2024 through a Biden-era entry program." The city has since filed a motion for his release from Pennsylvania's Moshannon Valley Processing Center, saying he's being held without due process. This operation was conducted as an ongoing effort to help local retailers to stop shoplifting. The backstory On Tuesday, June 3, around 12:50 p.m., officers responded to a report at Kohl's, at 11111 Lakeline Blvd., regarding two people who were removing security tags and unpaid hiding merch while in the store. When officers arrived, they spoke with store employees, who told them the suspects hid several items in reusable shopping bags and a woman's purse. Officers then found the suspects as they left the store with the stolen items. The suspects got into a black Tesla with the stolen merch and were then taken into custody. About $1,600 worth of merch was stolen from Kohl's. They also found several other stolen items worth around $2,000 that were taken from H-E-B and Home Depot on the same day. There were even stolen items from a Walmart in Buda a few days prior. Officers also found evidence of identity theft and fraud, as well as meth. Ada Johnson was charged with theft with two prior convictions and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Daryl Johnson was charged with theft.
