Help find Nkosingiphile: Boy with hearing impairment vanished while playing at home

Police at Masoyi, in Mpumalanga, are appealing to community members for assistance in reuniting three-year-old Nkosingiphile Ndwane Ntiwane with his family.
Provincial police spokesperson in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane said Nkosingiphile, who resides at Mshadza Trust, in Masoyi, vanished on Sunday afternoon.
'According to the information received, Nkosingiphile was playing at his residence, and at around 1pm. He went outside, in the yard. It is when his father noticed his child was nowhere to be found,' said Ndubane.
The alarmed father then called his neighbours and other community members to assist in searching for the child. Police said the frantic search by the community members did not yield positive results.
'Other role players were summoned to the scene,' said Ndubane.
'At the time of his disappearance, Nkosingiphile was wearing a military-colour (camouflage) jumpsuit, and a peach jersey. He is also deaf and mute."

Police have appealed to community members to assist in the ongoing search for Nkosingiphile.
'Anyone with information that could assist in locating him is urged to contact Captain David Hlatshwayo on 076 451 5495. Alternatively, members of the public may contact the SAPS Crime Stop number 08600 10111 or submit information via My SAPS App,' said Ndubane.
'All information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality, and callers may opt to remain anonymous.'
In January, as the festive holiday season came to an end, police, together with missing persons organisations and social workers, had their hands full after a total of 632 children were reported missing at the end of 2024.
This happened while 365 children were separated from their parents on Cape Town's beaches and later reunited, with 20 cases handed over to social services.
The Cape Argus shockingly revealed that for the period of 2024, nationally, 632 children were reported missing to police, while experts warn of the risks to social media.
National police spokesperson, Athlenda Mathe, said a total of 8,743 children were reported missing to police across the country in the past ten years.

Justice Rammaka Mathopo said no case had been made out for direct access to the Constitutional Court and that full reasons for the order would follow. "It is clear that the application of the law in this country has eyes, and unfortunately, this is something that the people of South Africa must take into their own hands. We might have to consider taking the matter to the street. However, to be honest, this is a travesty of justice. We will have to consult as this is a very serious issue, as to what the next steps are. Reacting to the judgment, MKP legal representative Dali Mpofu indicated that the party's legal team would be studying the judgment and considering some of the options the team and the MKP leader have before making a final determination. "It's a shock. However, we will be consulting with our client. I can't deal with the merits of the case now for obvious reasons. No case is pending as we speak. I do not know what is going to happen concerning this matter. We might return to this court, or we might go elsewhere. "The only issue that I can comment on is the fact that the issue of direct access seems to be confusing for everyone. Direct access is only meant for cases that should otherwise be going to the high court. That question does arise in this case. That question could have been asked on the Nkandla case, and when we were here on a secret ballot and an impeachment case. But most of all, it should have been asked when the Zondo commission came here directly, but nobody seems to have asked those questions," he stated. Reacting to the judgment, constitutional law expert Richard Spoor indicated that the Constitutional Court places a premium on its jurisdiction and it was expected that the case would be dismissed. "It was expected that the case would be dismissed. All I can say is that this happens quite frequently. The Constitutional Court is very jealous of which cases it allows to come to it. It is not going to hear every case that comes its way. It will look into whether the matter is of any constitutional significance. If it is not, it will dismiss it. R2.2m in counterfeit items confiscated in Korsten
Gqeberha police confiscated R2.2m worth of illicit pharmaceuticals and suspected counterfeit goods during a tactical operation in Korsten on Wednesday with the majority of the haul comprising of Viagra tablets. Police spokesperson Brigadier Nobuntu Gantana said the operation targeted transnational criminal networks involved in the distribution of unlicensed and potentially hazardous goods. "Acting on intelligence provided by the SAPS Sea Border Office, a multi-disciplinary team comprising Border Policing, K9 Unit, Crime Intelligence, and brand-holder agents executed searches at a wholesale in Durban Road and a warehouse on Daisy Road in Korsten." Gantana said the seized items included 17,430 Viagra pills, 224 Viagra Jelly sachets, 2,640 Adcodol tablets, 6,480 Apetito tablets, 3,560 pregnancy test kits, 4,680 skin-whitening creams, 648 Colgate toothbrushes, 1,584 Kiwi Shoe Polish units, and 106 rodent traps. "The total street value is estimated at R2,200,000. "SAPS urgently warns the public against using unregulated pharmaceuticals and health products. "Items such as erectile dysfunction medications, unregistered analgesics, and whitening creams may contain toxic substances or incorrect dosages, posing severe health risks in violation of the Medicines Act," Gantana said.
