Police did not have an update on the medical status of the two victims early Wednesday.
Wakefield and State Police deployed K-9 dogs during their search for evidence Tuesday and also investigated the area around a Cumberland Farms store on Lowell Street, police wrote.

Police seeking man who dragged officer with car while fleeing
SOMERS, Conn. (WTNH) — State Police are looking for a Somers man after he allegedly dragged a Somers Police officer with his car during a wellness check on Monday night. According to State Police, officers from Troop C in Tolland and Somers Police officers responded to a residence on School Street for the wellness check. When officers arrived, a man identified as Joshua Waite, 36, allegedly attempted to flee the scene. CSP investigating alleged shooting incident on I-95 in New Haven During the course of fleeing, Waite got into a vehicle, a silver Toyota Corolla, and allegedly dragged the Somers Police officer a few feet. The officer was not injured. Police are looking for Waite, who was last seen driving the Corolla with a Connecticut registration of AW61278. Two killed in Jefferson Parish car crash
JEFFERSON PARISH (WGNO) — Two people were killed Monday, June 9 in a car crash in Jefferson Parish. According to Louisiana State Police, 80-year-old Oscar Carter IV and a passenger, 77-year-old Martha Bradford, were killed in a car crash on LA 3152 near King Street. There was a third passenger who survived with minor injuries. State Police said Carter was driving a 2013 Infiniti G37 north in the center lane. A Nissan Altima was traveling north in the left lane. The Infiniti veered into the left lane and struck the right side of the Nissan, then entered the median and hit a tree. The Nissan crossed the median into the southbound lanes and struck a 2020 Buick Encore traveling south.
