Couples' wild brawl at Melbourne intersection caught on dashcam
A wild roadside brawl in Melbourne has been captured on dashcam footage, with what appears to be two couples throwing fists at an intersection.
The video was posted in a Facebook group in Melbourne's north with locals identifying the intersection at Thomastown entering the Ring Road.
The video begins with a man leaving his car to approach a silver Ford sedan, prompting the woman on the passenger's side to also get out in traffic.
The first man grabs the driver by the shirt while his female partner dressed in a pink top starts to scuffle with the woman, who appeared to attempt to stop the fight.
The male driver of the Ford can be seen with his shirt ripped as the first man continues to throw punches.
A man and woman who captured the brawl on their dashcam can be heard shouting 'go' as the brawl comes closer to their vehicle. They drive through the lights and the video ends.
A person in the comments section claimed they were driving behind one of the vehicles when the incident took place.
They said one of the drivers was 'driving erratically and cut me off first and only missed hitting the front of my car by a few inches'.
They also claimed the Ford had 'kids in the car'.

Two men rescued after paragliding mishaps in Sydney, NSW

A paraglider is 'lucky to be alive' following a gruelling five-hour rescue after crashing into a cliff on the south coast of Sydney on Saturday afternoon. Paolo, a man in his 50s collided into a cliff near Otford Rd at Stanwell Tops about 1pm on Saturday, before plunging down 10 metres and injuring his shoulder. The five-hour rescue operation was conducted as a joint effort between the NSW Police Rescue, SES crews, specialist paramedics and Fire and Rescue NSW, to stabilise and hoist Paolo up the cliff face and through intense bushland to safety. 'I'm so grateful to have this amazing team, they are incredible and yeah, I'll be fine,' Paolo said, while atop a rescue stretcher. 'It was my mistake actually, I did some move. Picture: 7News The injured Paolo was taken in a stable condition to St George Hospital about 6pm, by paramedics. 7News reports the authorities thought Paolo would be in a much more serious condition with a rescue chopper arriving to airlift him, but he was instead transported by road to hospital to treat his shoulder injury. Picture: 7News In a separate incident, another man was rescued Sunday morning after a 13-hour operation in the Southern Highlands. Emergency services responded to reports a man had fallen four metres onto rocks at the base of Funnels Creek Waterfall at 2pm on Saturday. Police were told a 24-year-old man was with a group of friends and was climbing the 8m ledge before jumping into a Rockpool. The 24-year-old was found to be conscious but suffering injuries to his head, right shoulder and left ankle. The man was retrieved by vertical rope lift when it was determined he could not be winched out by helicopter. A joint effort was conducted with a helicopter transporting a medical crew to the scene to stabilise the man before the retrieval operation was commenced with the police Rescue, NSW ambulance paramedics, and SES members. In the early hours of Sunday, at 3am, the man was successfully extricated and was taken by road ambulance to Goulburn Base Hospital in a stable condition.

Crowds attend Sydney vigil for young Warlpiri man Kumanjayi White's death in custody

Crowds have gathered at Sydney's town hall for a candlelit vigil in response to the death in custody of a young Warlpiri man in Alice Springs last week. The 24-year-old Yuendumu man — known now as Kumanjayi White — died on Tuesday after being restrained by police officers on a supermarket floor following an altercation. Kumanjayi White's family said the young man was vulnerable, had disabilities and was living away from his home community of Yuendumu because he required supported accommodation in Alice Springs. NT Police said plain-clothed officers responded after Kumanjayi White allegedly assaulted a security guard, who had confronted him about shoplifting in the store. His grandfather, Warlpiri elder Ned Jampjinpa Hargraves, said his jaja (grandson) had "needed support and not to be criminalised because of his disability". As Reconciliation Week draws to a close, those speaking at the event on Sunday evening said they wanted to bring First Nations people together to reflect on and mourn Kumanjayi White's death. Dunghutti man and activist Paul Silva said there should be a national spotlight on the systems that were continuing to fail First Nations people. Mr Silva is the nephew of David Dungay Jnr, who died in custody at Sydney's Long Bay Prison Hospital in 2015. "This man was vulnerable," Mr Silva said. "Tonight we mourn and we stand with his family and community. The incident involving Kumanjayi White is being investigated as a death in custody, with an initial autopsy on Wednesday finding the cause of death to be "undetermined". On Friday a vigil for Kumanjayi White was held in Alice Springs and later that afternoon NT Police rejected calls for an independent investigation. Assistant Commissioner Travis Wurst said he was leading the police investigation and would "provide oversight" along with NT Police's Professional Standards Command.
