Two air force A400 aircraft carrying 69 personnel, comprising officers and personnel of various specialisations including the Forward Anaesthesia and Surgical Team (FAST), the Royal Engineers Regiment (RAJD), and Safety Team, landed at the Subang Air Base at 8.30pm.
The official welcoming ceremony was officiated by the armed forces headquarters Chief of Staff Lt Gen Datuk Azhan Md Othman in recognition of the team's dedication and sacrifice in carrying out the humanitarian mission under the Malaysian Field Hospital banner.
Also present were armed forces health services director-general Lt Gen Datuk Dr Zulkeffeli Mat Jusoh, air operations commander Lt Gen Datuk Masro Kaliwon, and joint forces headquarters Chief of Staff, Maj Gen Datuk Mohamed Fauzi Kamis.

The humanitarian mission was led by Col Dr Ahmad Farhan Ahmad Fuad as operations commander. It was officially activated on April 18 when the team was deployed to Sagaing to establish the field hospital.
The field hospital began full operations on April 21, providing Level 2 medical services to local residents affected by the natural disaster.
It treated 3,562 patients and conducted 493 surgical procedures, demonstrating the MAF's efficiency and compassion in delivering emergency medical aid in disaster zones. - Bernama

MAHAR carries out Qurban Programme in seven countries
KUALA LUMPUR: In an effort to support vulnerable communities, the Malaysian Humanitarian Aid and Relief (MAHAR) organisation is implementing its 2025 Qurban Programme in seven countries, benefitting more than 16,000 individuals affected by disasters, war, and extreme poverty. In a statement, MAHAR said the programme would take place in Somalia, Kenya, Bangladesh, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, and for Palestinians seeking refuge in Egypt. The annual initiative is part of MAHAR's broader effort to assist marginalised communities facing challenges such as malnutrition and humanitarian crises. 'In total, over 16,000 individuals are expected to benefit from MAHAR's 2025 Qurban Programme, making this one of the organisation's largest undertakings to date,' the statement said. MAHAR added that all slaughtering and meat distribution processes adhere strictly to Islamic law, follow health standards, and are transparently overseen by certified local partners in the respective countries. In Malaysia, the distribution is carried out in an organised manner, involving families of Malaysian Armed Forces personnel at the Sungai Besi Camp, local communities via the Semerah State Assemblyman's Service Centre, as well as Palestinian and Syrian refugees residing in the country. Additionally, two cows will be sacrificed in Egypt this year, with the meat distributed to Palestinians taking refuge there. 'A portion of the meat will also be processed and packed as food parcels to be sent into Gaza, as part of MAHAR's continued commitment to supporting victims of prolonged conflict,' it said. MAHAR is also carrying out special qurban sacrifices in the name of and on behalf of its members, staff, volunteers, and media partners who have shown extraordinary commitment and dedication to the organisation's humanitarian missions over the years. 'This initiative is not merely symbolic, but a sincere expression of our appreciation for the collective efforts that have contributed to the success of our humanitarian missions both locally and abroad,' said MAHAR President, Jismi Johari.

Two Datuks Nabbed Over Fraudulent Free Haj Packages
KUALA LUMPUR, June 5 (Bernama) – Two individuals, both with the title 'Datuk', were arrested last Tuesday, on suspicion of involvement in fraudulent activities related to the offering of free haj packages. Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department acting director Datuk Seri Muhammed Hasbullah Ali said the activity was uncovered after the 'Op Haji Terkandas' task force found a group of prospective pilgrims, waiting at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Monday for an individual with the title 'Datuk'. According to him, the individual was allegedly supposed to hand over visas enabling the group to depart for the Holy Land, but the promised documents were never delivered. 'Following this, one of the victims lodged a police report, claiming that he and his wife had handed over their international passports to two individuals, who had offered them free haj packages. 'The victim was promised a flight to Makkah on June 1, 2025, but as of June 3, 2025, no flight confirmation had been received from the company,' he said in a statement today. He said that the fraud was carried out by falsely claiming that the free haj packages were offered through a travel agency, registered as a haj pilgrimage organiser (PJH) for the 2025 season. 'To date, seven police reports have been lodged in connection with the fraudulent haj package offers by the company. However, no financial losses have been reported, as the packages were offered free of charge,' he said. He added that the two suspects, a 36-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman, were released on police bail after their remand period ended yesterday. The case is being investigated under Sections 420 and 511 of the Penal Code.
