From 92 kgs to 81 kgs: Sameera Reddy shares how she lost 11 kilos with..
In the glitzy and glamorous world of Bollywood, people are obsessed with staying fit and looking young. Many people resort to beauty trends to get quicker results. Real transformation requires persistence, strength, and discipline, which is not everybody's cup of tea. However, there is one such actress and mother of two who doesn't believe in fad diets or filters, instead, she has taken the sustainable route for her overall well-being and transformation.
The person we are talking about is none other than actress Sameera Reddy. The 'De Dana Dan' actress lost almost 11 kilos in one year and is currently inspiring everybody with her transformation, not by going for quick fixes or striving to be skinny but just by focusing on ageing healthily, creating strength, and being present with herself.
Wake-up call for Sameera came on her birthday, 14 December 2024, when she realised she was frustrated with weight fluctuations. 'It actually started when I realised that constantly yo-yoing with my weight wasn't sustainable'. The perpetual yo-yo of weight loss was unsustainable, and the quest for slenderness was not worth the physical and emotional toll. Her epiphany? Long-term health was all about accepting consistency, not quick fixes.
Rather than following extreme trends, she concentrated on developing healthy habits—exercising 4–5 times a week and prioritising fitness no matter how busy life became. Her exercise became her self-care, not a punishment for eating.
Sameera refrained from fad diets and began paying attention to portion control and well-balanced meals. She even further said that banning certain food groups or starving does not bring sustainable outcomes. 'There are no severe restrictions,' she stated, mentioning that one needs to facilitate her workouts by feeding the right stuff, but not through deprivation.
Sameera also emphasised the emotional side of transformation- 'You have to be your own biggest cheerleader.' Though her family was supportive, she stressed that change really starts from within. 'Not everybody is going to cheer you on, and that's okay. You have to show up for yourself,' she told others to do vision boards, set goals, and have faith in the process.
Her journey serves as a reminder that wellness is not about chasing skinny bodies but about feeling strong, confident, and grounded in your own skin, on your own terms.

After Aamir Khan, Rajpal Yadav gets real about nepotism in Bollywood: ‘Main to ek ko bhi nahi...'
The debate around nepotism has always been constant, with every individual having their own take on it. After Aamir Khan, the latest one to join the discussion is none other than Rajpal Yadav, who mentioned that nepotism doesn't only exist. He went on to name the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, and more to elucidate his point. In a recent interaction with ANI, Rajpal Yadav claimed that there is 'no nepotism' in the industry. He stated that he would like to speak 'honestly' about it. The Bhool Bhulaiyaa actor stated that if there was nepotism, then there wouldn't have been Shah Rukh Khan, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, Johny Lever, Sanjeev Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, and Dharmendra. He stated that it was his desire to join Bollywood or theater, and nobody in his family insisted on him to do that. The actor revealed that he has also told his kids that no one can make anyone's career in sports and cinema. According to him, it is only one's good person sitting within them that tells him if they are capable of doing it. Rajpal believes even if he pushes anyone, he can't prevent the debacles they would face later in life. The De Dana Dan actor acknowledges that an individual would get an opportunity for the first time, but whether he will succeed or has that energy is decided by the Almighty or the audience, emphasizing that there is no nepotism. "I have been acting for 38 years now. And I have at least 200 relatives. Mai to ek ko bhi nahin karva blessings apni apni.. mehnat apni hai (I haven't been able to get them work here. It is blessings, hard work), and finally it is the audience who decides," he further added. In another interview with Raj Shamani, Aamir Khan also addressed the nepotism debate, stating that he has neither interfered in his son Junaid Khan's career nor will he ever do that in the future. The veteran actor also claimed that no one can uplift anyone's career in the acting industry. On the professional front, Yadav is currently enjoying the release of his movie, Interrogation, on Zee 5.

Akshay Kumar Chopped Off John Abraham's Scenes In Garam Masala? Know Here
Priyadarshan said that John Abraham and Akshay Kumar had no grievances against each other. Akshay Kumar and John Abraham's comedy caper, Garam Masala, has secured a cult status among Bollywood fans today. The film was directed by Priyadarshan, known for comedy hits like Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and De Dana Dan among others. When Garam Masala was released, there were reports that Akshay Kumar had cut John Abraham's scenes from the film to reduce his screen time. However, the director clarified that this was not the case. Priyadarshan said, 'Am I an idiot to let one of my actors make my film for me? This is nothing but a figment of a troublesome journalist's imagination. It may be some people's idea of publicity, not mine. I've been around for too long to let actors dictate to me." 'Akshay never showed the slightest inclination to invade John's territory. In fact, I've been in touch with John. Not once has he expressed any grievance against Akshay. So who are these people spreading these rumours?" the filmmaker asked during a 2005 conversation with Rediff. About Garam Masala Garam Masala is a 2005 Hindi-language comedy film directed by Priyadarshan, featuring Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Paresh Rawal, Rimi Sen, Neha Dhupia, and Rajpal Yadav. Released during Diwali, the film is a remake of Priyadarshan's own 1985 Malayalam film Boeing Boeing, which was based on the 1965 Hollywood comedy of the same name. The plot revolves around two photographers, Makarand 'Mac" Deendayal Chatpatiya (Akshay Kumar) and Shyam 'Sam" Salgaonkar (John Abraham), who are both womanisers. In a conversation with Baradwaj Rangan for Galatta Plus, Akshay Kumar was asked which film so far in his career was the toughest. Reacting promptly to the question, the actor stated, 'Toughest? Honestly, the toughest was Garam Masala! I used to pant while doing it because Priyan (Priyadarshan) sir used to take long, long shots." He added that shooting the film felt more like doing a play. The actor mentioned that, as per the storyline, many characters were performing together at one time, and therefore he found it to be one of the 'most difficult films to do". The film was a commercial success, grossing Rs 54.65 crore against a budget of Rs 17 crore. Akshay Kumar's performance earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Actor in a Comic Role. Garam Masala has gained a cult following over the years. First Published:
