Love Island 2025: What time does ITV show start tonight and who won the 2024 series?
Love Island 2025 is set to return this summer and will be the 12th series of the hit ITV2 dating show so here's everything you need to know about the upcoming season
Summer has arrived heralding the start once more of the nation's intense fixation with Love Island.
This year, 2025, commemorates a decade since ITV breathed new life into Love Island, following its initial celebrity-centred series in 2005 and 2006.

Blossoming into an unforeseen global sensation, the show has been responsible for introducing a number of now-familiar faces to British households.

Notable contestants like Molly-Mae Hague, Tommy Fury, Chris Hughes, Maura Higgins, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, and Curtis Pritchard have all found significant success post-villa.
The premise remains as straightforward as ever: a collection of singles gather in a villa looking to pair up, fall in love, and potentially clinch the £50,000 cash prize, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Former ITV Love Island winners have a hilarious way of dealing with split rumours
READ MORE:
Last series saw Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan crowned winners by public vote, though they split in October, much to the dismay of fans.
"A lot of you have been wondering about Josh and I and why we haven't been making appearances.
"I know it's a big disappointment for a lot of you as it is for me too. Your support for us hasn't gone unnoticed and I will forever be grateful for it," expressed Mimi at the time.

The previous season wasn't without its drama – it saw the surprise arrival of The Only Way Is Essex star Joey Essex in the villa, leaving viewers and fellow islanders alike stunned.

The inclusion of a celebrity participant sparked debate over whether this gave him an unfair edge in the game, although he was sent packing just before the final showdown.

In a double-dose of romantic escapades this year, Love Island returns for its second stint following the All Stars edition that graced our screens in January.
After a whirlwind 36 days on the earlier show, former contestants Casey O'Gorman and Gabby Allen — who were familiar faces from series nine and three respectively — emerged as victors, though they have regrettably parted ways since their win.
Maya Jama is at the helm yet again this season, having stepped into Laura Whitmore's shoes as the host in 2023, after Whitmore's three-year tenure fronting the popular series.

In the run-up to the latest season's premiere, Kyle Ashman made headlines by bowing out of the villa for 'personal reasons', despite his earlier announcement as part of the cast.
An ITV representative confirmed: "For personal reasons, Kyle will not be entering the 'Love Island' villa as planned."

Love Island shock twist as girl brutally dumped from villa

First look into the action on tonight's episode of Love Island - as one Islander can't handle the pressure and another is sent packing... After an explosive launch episode, which saw over 1.4 million viewers tune into this year's Love Island, it's fair to say that summer has finally arrived. Last night Maya Jama announced the shocking news that one Islander will be sent home, cutting their time in the villa short, just 24 hours after they arrived. American bombshell Toni arrived and rocked the villa, leaving Shakira vulnerable and the other girls feeling the pressure to keep hold of their men. ‌ As we anticipate the outcome here is your sneak peek into tonight's episode of Love Island. ‌ The episode opens with Dejon checking in on Shakira to make sure she's okay with being left single - which leaves Meg feeling worried as she tells the other girls: "I don't have my man, Dejon's gone - that's it!" Meanwhile Shakira shows Dejon her vulnerable side, expressing: "That was a lot, it was intense, I was trying not to shake like a leaf. I've got a busy day ahead of me by the looks of it!" Later, Dejon and Meg head to the Terrace, with Dejon keen to reassure Meg. He tells her: "You haven't got anything to worry about, you're my favourite, one thing about me is I'll always be honest with my feelings." The next morning Toni and Shakira have a heart to heart, with Toni stating: "Just so you know, it wasn't personal, I'm rooting for else are you interested in?" ‌ To which Shakira replies: "Everyone!" and Toni says: "I'm telling you, I believe in you, you're not leaving." Shakira adds: "I know the boys are attracted to me on a surface level, but it's about whether we click." The singleton wastes no time getting her flirt on, as she asks Harry to join her on the terrace for a chat and things quickly heat up. ‌ The pair flirt back and forth as Shakira teases: "Haza you little minx!" as Harry jokingly replies, "It's day two come on let's keep it PG." Shakira doesn't stop at just Harry, as she pulls Conor, Blu and Tommy all for separate chats one after the other in hopes to find a connection. She confides in Tommy telling him: "I think it's best I try to get to know everyone." ‌ Shakira's chat with Tommy does not go down well with Megan as she takes matters into her own hands. With a push from Helena telling Megan to "claim your man!" She interrupts the conversation, sealing Tommy away for a chat. On the terrace, Megan confesses: "That made me a little bit jealous." But will Megan's jealous seeing Tommy with Shakira get the better of her, and push Tommy away? ‌ Later in the episode, as the Islanders get ready - with one getting ready for the final time in the villa - there is a tense feeling in the air as they know one of the girls will be going home tonight. Will Shakira's efforts be enough, or will she be sent packing? Maya makes a dramatic return to the Villa, telling the Islanders: "Your 24 hours are up, please meet me by the fire pit." ‌ At the fire pit Maya continues: "I gave you 24 hours to find a connection with one of the other boys or risk being dumped from the Island tonight, but have you done enough?" "Boys, do you wanna play it safe and stick with your current partner or take the risk and recouple with Shakira?" She then announces "Ok guys, if you feel you have a stronger connection with Shakira than your current couple, then please stand up…" As the girls watch on nervously, will any of the boys go for it and stand up for Shakira…or will it be Shakira herself packing up her suitcase?

Gold rats, inflatable balls and community photography: inside the Royal Academy's 2025 Summer Exhibition

If looking at more than 1,700 pieces of art isn't enough for you, there are some great games you can play with yourself while walking around the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition. Spot the famous artist. Guess the price of a painting. Or, my personal favourite: channel interior designer and pick works to 'imaginary decorate' your overpriced rented basement flat in Clapton. The RA Summer Exhibition has been held every year since 1769, and in 2025, it's been coordinated by renowned British-Iranian architect Farshid Moussavi. You'll see architectural drawings, models and nods to our built environment dotted throughout the exhibitoin, not bound by one room. There will be no bright yellow or turquoise walls this year – it's all cleanly white – and the whole thing feels calmer, less cluttered, with more space for works to breathe (and less craning of your neck to see the stuff up top). It is, as usual, open to all. There's plenty of the big dawgs here: you'll see scribbled heads by Quentin Blake, a (Juergen Teller) photograph of Marina Abramović looking all witchy, a warm, washed-over Frank Bowling canvas, a collaged photographic face by Cindy Sherman and much more. But there also is, undoubtedly, a lot of shit art. Horrid, boring geometric neon stencils. Cats. Flat, unfinished-looking canvases. Sculpture which looks like it belongs in Primark's home section. But getting hung up on the crap is not really the point: it's about the spectacle, the discovery, the loose themes you can trace between seemingly randomly placed works. And there is some genuinely great stuff, too – stuff that will stop you in your tracks, from well-known artists, unknown artists, and from artists in between. Here are five of our favourites. 1. Ryan Gander's inflatable balls Before you even enter Burlington House, you'll come face to face with big, black, blow-up balls, which have been set up in the courtyard to look like they've been halted, mid-roll. They're squishy and shiny, and each is adorned with a child-like, hard-to-answer question: 'When do you know you're right?' 'How much is a lot?' 'Do all doors open?' and so on. One is wedged on the roof, another is inside the exhibition, blocking one of the main room's three arches, giving you only two routes to take around this year. These are not only really fun to look at, but they also question your routine and the way you look at art, prompting you to be inquisitive and open-minded before you even enter the building. 2. 101 white rat pelts, Zatorski + Zatorski These are objectively naff, but I appreciate deep, inescapable discomfort these 101 hollowed-out rats bring. Their insides and eyes are brushed with 24ct gold, and they're all arranged, standing up in an outwards-facing circle, as though watching you, or about to attack. It instantly made me think about animal testing, and about the extremes people will go to, for riches. You can't help but feel sorry for the things. 3. Community Dialogue, John Waine There's something about this modest photograph of a Frome community notice board, all posters overlapped and peeling, offering Spanish lessons, flea markets, festivals, short-term lets and fundraisers, which filled me with nostalgia, despite the dates only the flyers only reading 2023. Not sure about the frame though. 4. Rock Pool, Terry Setch This mixed media piece looks like the debris of fishing baskets washed up on the beach, or the rusting rainbow colours of corroded metal rubbing on clothing. The texture is brilliant. Crucially, it makes me want to ask: can I touch it? 5. 'You remained always beautiful', Tracey Emin This is one of two of Emin works in the show: she also has the more prominently placed pastel-painted 'The Crucifixion', but it's this moody, melancholy portrait, tucked away in one of the top corners in the entrance room, which stuck with me. The eyes look downwards and the shoulders are hunched, almost blending into the background; the facial features imperfect, only just distinguishable. The whole thing is uncomfortable to look at and as a result, it carries a real a sense of dread. Moving, memorable portraiture. The 2025 RA Sumer Exhibition is on from June 17 until August 17, 2025.
