Who is Palace's new supremo?
American billionaire and New York Jets owner Woody Johnson has agreed to become Palace's largest shareholder by snapping up John Textor's 43 per cent stake in a £190million deal.
Johnson is a former US ambassador to the UK, having held the post during Donald Trump's first term in office, and is a close friend and financial backer of the American President.
The 78-year-old will have the same 25 per cent voting share alongside Steve Parish, Joshua Harris and David Blitzer.
Worth an estimated £6.8billion, Johnson has owned the Jets since 2000.
Earlier this year he fired back at a "totally bogus" report from the NFL Players Association, in which players graded their clubs and owners. Johnson was the only NFL owner to receive an F grade.
He has long held an interest in buying a Premier League club and rivalled Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital for Chelsea in 2022.

Wrexham target Rangers ace
Wrexham are plotting on bringing Rangers attacking midfielder Tom Lawrence back to his home-city club on a free transfer this summer.
Lawrence, 31, was born and bred in North Wales but played for Everton and Manchester United in his youth before going on to make one sub appearance in the Premier League for the Red Devils.
The striker has gone on to clock 368 career appearances and 68 goals for the likes of Derby, Ipswich, Leicester, Rotherham, Cardiff, Blackburn, Carlisle, Yeovil and the Gers - as well as winning 23 caps for Wales.
Although Lawrence is fielding a number of offers, Wrexham are hoping to make him a compelling offer to return to his north-Wales roots after winning three consecutive promotions from the National League to the Championship.

Leicester business uncertainty
Leicester's future has been left shrouded in uncertainty as their Thai owners face a total business collapse.
Foxes chairman Aiyawatt 'Top' Srivaddhanaprabha left his role as chief executive of duty free giant King Power with the company staring at massive losses and potential failure.
Top has switched to being 'group executive chairman' where he will 'play an important role in determining the direction and setting the policy framework for business operations'.
But that adds to the club's financial woes after their relegation from the Prem and likely points deduction in the EFL next term.
Top, 39, took charge of the Foxes and the King Power company following the fatal helicopter crash that cost the lives of his father Khun Vichai - in charge of the club since 2010 - and four others as it left the stadium following a Prem draw with West Ham in 2018.
He bankrolled the club's return to the Prem after their relegation in 2023 but watched as Ruud van Nistelrooy's appointment as manager to succeed Steve Cooper in December failed to arrest an instant return to the EFL.
But the club's on-field issues look to be paling into insignificance by comparison with the financial woes afflicting the King Power company.
King Power enjoyed a three decade near-monopoly on duty free concessions in Thailand but is aiming to completely renegotiate contracts at four of the country's major airports, asking for all rental fees to be waived.
That is expected to lead to losses of £450million-plus for the state-run Airports of Thailand, which rejected the opening offer from King Power.

Kudus changes agents - EXCLUSIVE
Mohammed Kudus has signed with renowned sports management firm ROOF as speculation over a potential move away from West Ham continues to gather pace.
Kudus joins the agency's high-profile roster ahead of what is shaping up to be a very busy summer for the 24-year-old.
The playmaker has already been linked with Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool, while Newcastle are also said to be considering a player-swap deal that could tempt the Hammers into negotiations.
Last year, the Ghana international parted ways with agent Jennifer Mendelewitsch, who negotiated his move from Ajax to West Ham and briefly put a family member in charge of his affairs.
However, Kudus has now decided that joining ROOF is the best step forward in what appears to be a clear indication of a possible departure this summer.
The future of the former Ajax star could be decided as early as next month as he has a 10-day release clause that becomes active on July 1 and runs until July 10.

Tete's Fulham rejection - EXCLUSIVE
Kenny Tete snubbed a new three-year contract at Fulham to sign for Everton.
The former Dutch international, 29, is set to move to the Merseysiders as a free agent on a deal until 2028.
Many Cottagers fans have been left disappointed to see the right-back depart after impressing during his five-year stay in West London.
Fulham tried to keep him with their new deal offer, despite Tete being the club's highest cost per minute due to injury over the last couple of seasons.
But he has opted to switch to join David Moyes' revolution at the Toffees.
Everton have been in need of a new right-back with Ashley Young, who turns 40 in July, leaving the club when his terms expire this month after two years at the club.
Moyes confirmed in May that fellow veteran right-back Seamus Coleman will be staying put though, adding: "I need him here."

Marc Guehi transfer preference
Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi is prepared to turn down joining Arsenal this summer, which has put Liverpool on high alert to swoop.
Guehi wants regular first-team football and assurances from manager Mikel Arteta that he will get it at the Emirates
But William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes would almost certainly start ahead of the 24-year-old if he was to move to north London.
With the Reds selling Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen the club are on the lookout for a centre-back and sources say they are eyeing Guehi.
The England international does not want to be sitting on the bench with the World Cup coming up next summer and the Merseysiders could be the perfect fit.
Arsenal have just tied Gabriel down to a new contract running until 2029, while the club's top brass are also keen to extend Saliba's stay at the Emirates.

Interim boss Joey O'Brien coy on Shelbourne future
Shelbourne interim head coach Joey O'Brien refused to be drawn on whether or not he would want the position on a full-time basis following Monday's 2-2 draw with Waterford at the RSC. O'Brien had been Damien Duff's number two at Tolka Park ever since the latter's appointment in late 2021, but was thrust into the main position after Duff's shock resignation on Sunday that rocked the League of Ireland. Duff has since been linked with a coaching job at Premier League side Brentford should Keith Andrews be appointed. O'Brien had little time to prepare his side for their visit to Waterford but was pleased with what he saw. However when asked afterwards if its a role he would like to continue in long term, he was non-committal. "(I was) shocked and stunned as much as the whole football club was," he said. "There was a job to do, we get paid, and we're the luckiest people in the world for the jobs that we have. "This is part of the game. I've spoken to the lads about it over the last few weeks because I've been a professional footballer and the demands and the stuff you have to put on, I think that has been misquoted in the press, stuff being said as a bad thing. It's not a bad thing. "When you're a professional footballer you are the luckiest player in the world, but you have to demand performances, demand your own standards, how you live, it's a constant. "I spoke to them yesterday, that this is the other side of professional football, something unexpected can happen like that. What do you do? The only thing you do is you get paid by the football club to perform, and that's your job. I felt that all of them stood up tonight and put in a performance." The timing of Duff's dramatic departure from the holders caught everyone by surprise, especially with a looming Champions League clash with Irish League kingpins Linfield just weeks away, but O'Brien paid tribute to what he had achieved at the club. "It was a shock for everyone at the football club, myself included. "Listen, from a personal point of view I absolutely loved the manager and he'll always be my manager. We had some great times and he built this really and the success we've had over the last few years, I don't think it would have been possible without him." On the performance in trying circumstances, O'Brien was more than happy but felt they should have been coming home with three points rather than one with Daniel Kelly being denied by the crossbar in the final play. "I told them, 'this is our job. This football club is going to be here well after all of us are gone and it was here well before all of us. Go out and put in a performance for yourself, for the man next to you and for the football club.' "I thought they all did that, I thought some of the individual performances were disappointing thing of the whole day is the lads didn't get the three points that I think they really deserved but it probably sums up our season." Waterford boss John Coleman was in no doubt that his side were second best all evening, and he said he was responsible for a lot of that. "I said to our lads in there, all credit for not throwing the towel in. "We got very disjointed in the second half and I've got to take the blame for that because I've made two positional changes, shoving players here, there and everywhere when we haven't really prepared for that."

Keith Andrews in advanced talks to become new Brentford manager
KEITH ANDREWS IS in advanced talks to become the new head coach at Brentford. The 42 understands that the former Republic of Ireland international is now formalising his deal to take over at the Premier League club and put together a coaching staff. Reports from the UK earlier today suggested that Damien Duff, who left his role as Shelbourne manager on Sunday and worked with Andrews as both a player and coach with Ireland, could be part of the new set-up. That is not believed to be a move in the offing as Andrews nears his appointment as Thomas Frank's successor. Advertisement The Dubliner had been part of the Dane's staff last season and impressed as a set-piece coach, and while his ascension to the top job has come from left field his work over the last 12 months as well as during the interview process has convinced the decision makers at Brentford to stick with an internal appointment.
