The court said that the day-to-day hearing will take place from July 2 to 8. Counsel representing the Gandhis on Tuesday sought more time to peruse the voluminous case records. The ED counsel argued in support of its prosecution complaint (equivalent to charge sheet) against the Gandhis and others last month. The court also posed pointed queries to the agency.
Special judge Vishal Gogne sought clarity on the ownership of AJL's assets, specifically whether the company's shareholders could be considered its owners. The court asked ED's counsel: "Are assets owned by the company or shareholders? Who owns the property as of today?"

The court remarked: "In simple words, if the property of A is usurped by B, does it become proceeds of crime when it was clean in the hands of A." It asked: "Are wrongful acts ascribed to individuals but not parties (Congress)? Or is the party a victim?" In response, the ED counsel said "the donors of the party are victims". The counsel argued that donations and membership fees were collected from the public for party purposes, but were instead diverted as a loan to a company engaged in commercial activities.
The ED counsel further argued that Young Indian was formed as a sham entity, "a cloak to convert public money to personal use" and used as a special purpose vehicle to gain control over assets of AJL worth ₹2,000 crore. The agency further alleged that the accused acted in "consortium with each other to achieve the said nefarious purpose". The agency claimed the alleged proceeds of crime included rental income worth ₹142 crore received by the accused.

Shivakumar is also the state Congress President. The stampede occurred on June 4 evening in front of the Chinnaswamy stadium here, where a large number of people thronged to participate in the RCB team's IPL victory celebrations. Eleven people died and 56 were injured in the incident. Siddaramaiah had on Sunday denied reports that the Congress high command had sought information from him regarding the stampede incident. According to sources, the four names recommended to the Governor for nominations to the Legislative Council, but reportedly withheld after directions from the party high command, is also likely to come up for discussions.

PM Modi to meet all-party global outreach delegations today
New Delhi [India], June 10 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet members of the all-party global delegation under Operation Sindoor global outreach on Tuesday at 7 pm at his official residence, Lok Kalyan Marg. According to sources, Union Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju's office informed the delegation members about the meeting. Seven groups of all party delegations, including Opposition MPs such as NCP-SCP's Supriya Sule, Congress party's Shashi Tharoor, AIMIM chief Asaddudin Owaisi, and former ambassadors, completed their diplomatic efforts to visit various world capitals and promote India's policy of zero tolerance against terrorism. The delegation was launched post Operation Sindoor, India's response to the Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 tourists were killed. Over 50 people, including members of Parliament from multiple political parties, former ambassadors, and former government officials, visited over 30 countries as part of India's diplomatic outreach post Operation Sindoor. Seven MPs led their respective groups, with Group 1 being led by the BJP's Baijayant Panda, which went to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria. Group 2, led by BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, visited the UK, France, Germany, the EU, Italy, and Denmark. JD(U) leader Sanjay Kumar Jha led Group 3, which visited Indonesia, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, Japan, and Singapore. Group 4, led by Shrikant Eknath Shinde of the Shiv Sena, visited UAW, Liberia, Congo, and Sierra Leone. Group 5, led by Shashi Tharoor of the Congress party, visited the US, Panama, Guyana, Brazil, and Colombia. Group 6, led by DMK's Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, went to Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, and Russia. Group 7, led by NCP-SCP's Supriya Sule, went to Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia, and South Africa. The delegations, apart from putting forward India's position against terror, highlighted how Pakistan has been sponsoring terror and using it against India, and called for Pakistan to be put in the Financial Action Task Force's (FATF) grey list. Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7 in response to the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The Indian Armed Forces carried out targeted strikes against terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the deaths of over 100 terrorists linked to groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen. "All that you have done is against muslims": Congress' Rashid Alvi on 11 years of NDA government
New Delhi [India], June 10 (ANI): As the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) completed 11 years in power at the Centre, Congress leader Rashid Alvi on Monday hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party-led alliance for targeting Muslims by passing laws while not being able to tackle the problems of inflation for the people. 'I have to say with regret that you brought the law of triple talaq against the Muslims. Brought the law of Waqf against Muslims, You are doing everything in this country which is against Muslims,' Congress leader Rashid Alvi told ANI. Criticising demonitisation, repealing Article 370, not listening to farmers and not keeping inflation in check, the Congress leader highlighted them as failures of the Modi-led government. 'You don't realise that during demonetisation, during the summer, so many people died, that is your minus point, and you think of it as a plus point. You used to claim that with demonitisation, black money would be finished, is it finished though? Also said that terror will end, but did terror finish? Just now, so many people died in Pahalgam,' he said. Continuing his jibe at BJP over Kashmir, he added, 'You removed (Article) 370 (from Kashmir), put people in jail, and put 8 lakh soldiers there, but in the last 11 years did you give jobs to people, have you reduced inflation? The Petrol-diesel which you have bought for Rs 35-40 you are giving the same for Rs 100 to the people of the country. Farmers kept sitting for two years, you were not ready to listen to them.' As Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government completed 11 years at the Centre, BJP President and Union Minister JP Nadda highlighted the various achievements of the government, including good governance, change in India's 'political culture,' and several bold decisions made. Nadda said during a press conference, 'The work done under PM Modi's leadership is written in the golden words because of the unimaginable and unique works. PM Modi has changed the country's politics, political culture. The country was appeased 11 years ago. Earlier, saving a political chair by dividing the society was the norm.' (ANI)
