Baloch man's disfigured body found in Awaran after abduction, sparks outrage
Darman Baloch, son of Rahim Bakhsh, was forcibly disappeared by Frontier Corps (FC) personnel in Awaran district on May 27, 2025. He was summoned to an FC camp, detained briefly, and then abducted. On the night of May 30, his mutilated body was discovered in the Kohro area of Awaran district.
Darman Baloch was the primary breadwinner for his family. He was killed by personnel of the Frontier Corps in Jaho, Awaran.
This case adds to the growing pattern of "kill and dump" operations in Balochistan, where individuals are forcibly disappeared and later found dumped under violent circumstances. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) condemned the killing, stating, "Darman Baloch, son of Rahim Bakhsh, was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces. His mutilated body was found in the Kohro area of Awaran district. This is part of the ongoing 'kill and dump' operations targeting Baloch civilians."

The BYC has been actively organising protests to raise awareness about the increasing extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances in Balochistan. They have called for international intervention and held the perpetrators accountable.
Human rights organisations have repeatedly raised concerns over what they describe as an escalating pattern of "state-led violence" in Balochistan, where enforced disappearances have become a daily occurrence. Baloch advocacy groups, including the BYC, Paank, and the Baloch Women Forum (BWF), have urged the United Nations, international human rights organisations, and global civil society to take urgent notice of the situation.

They have called on the international community to pressure Pakistani authorities to end the practice of enforced disappearances and to launch independent, transparent investigations into the incidents.

Earlier in the day, Paank, the human rights wing of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), strongly condemned the latest wave of extrajudicial killings in Balochistan, holding the Pakistani military establishment responsible for what it termed 'a campaign of state-sponsored terror.'

Rajasthan State employee who was detained earlier arrested for espionage
The Rajasthan Police's intelligence unit has arrested a State government employee on charges of spying for Pakistan. He had been under surveillance for suspicious activities for an extended period. The accused, Shakur Khan, was earlier detained on May 28 and subjected to an intensive interrogation by multiple agencies. Khan, 49, working as an assistant administrative officer (AAO) at the district employment office in Jaisalmer, was allegedly passing sensitive and strategic information to his handlers in Pakistan. He obtained Pakistani visas on several occasions and travelled to Pakistan without reporting to higher authorities. Inspector General of Police (Security) Vishnu Kant said here on Tuesday that Khan was in regular contact with some individuals working at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, especially Ahsan-ur-Rahim, alias Danish, and Sohail Qamar. Danish was declared persona non grata by the Union government last month and was asked to leave India immediately. 'During his visits to Pakistan, Khan came in contact with the agents of the Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI). He collected sensitive information after returning to India and transmitted it to his Pakistani handlers through WhatsApp and other social media platforms,' Mr. Kant said in a statement. Khan had access to sensitive documents while working in the border district of Jaisalmer. Since the matter constituted a serious security breach, a case was registered under the Official Secrets Act, 1923, and Khan was arrested, Mr. Kant said. A court in Jaipur, where Khan was produced under strict security on Tuesday, remanded him to police custody for seven days. Pakistani contacts As per the first information report, Khan had several Pakistani phone numbers saved in his three mobile phones, which have been seized and sent for technical analysis. He allegedly shared strategically important videos and images with his handlers on these numbers, but this material had been deleted. A native of Mangliyon Ki Dhani hamlet in Jaisalmer district's Badoda Gaon village, Khan served as a personal assistant to former Minister Saleh Mohammed during the previous Congress regime. Khan's association with Mr. Mohammed has led to a political controversy since his detention. Pradesh Congress Committee president Govind Singh Dotasra said being a personal assistant to a Minister did not constitute a valid ground to implicate the Minister or his family in a crime. 'We have nothing to do with any criminal or anti-national activity. If the police have received some inputs, they should investigate and take action against the accused,' Mr. Dotasra said.

"Who's in charge--Democracy or Generals?": UK MP tears into Pakistan, urges world to stand with India
London [UK], June 3 (ANI): Branding Pakistan as a 'failed state', UK MP Bob Blackman on Tuesday launched a scathing attack at India's neighbour, questioning if either 'democracy or generals' was in charge of Pakistan, referring to the country's unchecked military influence in its governance. Speaking to ANI following a meeting with the all-party delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad in London, the UK MP urged the international community to stand with India in its fight against terrorism while blisteringly critiquing Pakistan for its encouragement of terrorism in sovereign Indian territory and its illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. He further slammed the nation for fostering a breeding ground for terror that undermines regional peace and stability, while calling for the reunification of Jammu and Kashmir under India as intended in 1947. 'Pakistan is a failed state. We don't have democracy in Pakistan. We have the people of parts of Pakistan, who are suffering under Pakistani military rule. So who's in charge? Is it the democracy or the Generals? And it's quite clear that terrorism is encouraged from Pakistan into sovereign India,' Blackman stated. 'And so we've got to make sure we have to call out the message that the illegal occupation of part of India in Jammu and Kashmir by Pakistan should end. Those troops should leave, and the whole of Jammu and Kashmir should be united as one principal state, as was intended back in 1947. And then we can lead to the eradication of terrorism and make sure that the people of that great state can celebrate the beauty of the valley,' he added. Blackman further raised critical concerns over Pakistan's use of international aid money, questioning whether funds meant for the country's development were being diverted to purchase Chinese weapons for terrorism against India. He also expressed the UK's condolences and support for India's anti-terrorism actions, emphasising India's desire for peace and questioning Pakistan's misuse of aid for military purposes, advocating for its use in health initiatives like polio eradication. 'We had a meeting and it's great to see the delegation from all parts of India... Everyone from the United Kingdom expresses their condolences and support for the people of India who've suffered this terrorist outrage... India wants peace and tranquillity between the two,' Blackman stated. 'The money that's sent to Pakistan, what is it used for? What it shouldn't be used for is buying Chinese weapons that would then enable terrorists to attack India, and I take a very strong view that our international aid money that should go to Pakistan should be going for the eradication of polio and other infectious diseases that benefit the people of Pakistan rather than it being used illicitly for military purposes,' he added. The BJP MP-led all-party delegation earlier held a meeting with the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG)-India, which Blackman was a member of. During the meeting, the UK MPs affirmed the country's solidarity with India in isolating Pakistan and enhancing security cooperation. Key figures like House of Lords MP Lord Karan Bilimoria and former member of the UK Parliament Shailesh Vara also expressed unanimous cross-party support in the UK for India's response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, alongside discussions on deepening India-UK ties in trade, security, and education, despite last-minute camera restrictions leading to phone recordings. 6 Pakistan fighter jets, one C-130 aircraft, multiple cruise missiles, UAVs destroyed during IAF retaliation in Op Sindoor
By Ajit Dubey New Delhi [India], June 3 (ANI): As per an ongoing analysis of the damage inflicted upon by the Indian Air Force on Pakistan Air Force, it is emerging that 6 PAF fighter jets, two high value aircraft, over 10 UCAVs, one C-130 transport aircraft along with multiple cruise missiles were destroyed by Indian air-launched cruise missiles and surface-to-air missiles. Sources who were involved in the operations launched against Pakistani aggression told ANI that as per the technical analysis of the data available with the IAF, six of the Pakistan Air Force fighter aircraft were shot down in air during operations. One high value aerial asset, which could either be an electronic counter measures aircraft or an Airborne Early Warning or Control Aircraft, was taken out by a long range strike by the Sudarshan at distances of around 300 km, they said. The sources said that during the four-day conflict, the strikes at Bholari airbase using air to surface cruise missiles resulted in the loss of another AEWC aircraft of Swedish origin. There are inputs about presence of fighter jets also in the hangar but since the Pakistanis are not even taking out debris from there, 'we are not counting the fighter aircraft losses on ground', they said. The Pakistani fighter jets were captured by the Indian Air Force radars and air defence missile systems and were seen vanishing after hits were secured by the air defence systems. The Pakistan Air Force also lost a C-130 transport aircraft during one of the drone strikes by Indian Air Force in the Pakistani Punjab. The Indian Air Force used only air-launched cruise missiles to attack Pakistani bases and no surface- to-surface BrahMos missiles were used in the attacks, they said. In one of strikes on a hangar by Rafale and Su-30 jets, a significant number of Chinese Wing Loong series medium altitude long endurance drones were destroyed , the sources said. More than 10 UCAVs were also destroyed by the different IAF air defence systems over Pakistani air space in the conflict along with large-scale interception of Pakistani air and ground launched cruise and ballistic missiles aimed at different air bases, they said. The Indian Air Force, the sources said, is still carrying out the analysis of the huge amount of data gathered by it during the conflict. The conflict between India and Pakistan started in May 6-7 night when India retaliated by targeting terrorist universities in the Pakistani Punjab and Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir in response to Pahalgam terror attack. The conflict lasted till May 10 afternoon when Pakistan side requested for a ceasefire in view of the heavy losses suffered by it in the attacks by the Indian Air Force. (ANI)
