Philadelphia Eagles star Jordan Mailata has a charming response to Kelly Clarkson's surprising offer.
During her guest appearance on Kylie Kelce's 'Not Gonna Lie' podcast, the singer-songwriter expressed her amazement upon discovering that the Eagles offensive tackle not only knows how to sing but also has an incredible voice.
'I didn't know he sang,' she said, adding 'I had no idea,' to which the podcast host responded, saying 'The voice of an angel.'
Moreover, Clarkson continued to praise the football star's impressive singing voice.
'I heard him sing the anthem better than most singers,' the award-winning singer said. 'I found out literally minutes after I met him.'
Meanwhile, Kelce also mentioned how the NFL star did it in the most "nonchalant way." The 'Since You've Been Gone' hitmaker agreed, praising his "effortless R&B-pop vocal."
This prompted Clarkson to suggest a possible collaboration after Kelce mentioned that Mailata joined her husband Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson in a charity initiative where they released the Philly Special Christmas album.
'If they ever need a duet partner, I'm willing to cross the line,' Clarkson said, adding 'I love Christmas as well.'
The interview caught the attention of the 27-year-old offensive tackle, who couldn't help but feel flattered by Clarkson's high praise.
'Aww shucks, I'm all shy now, guys 😭 thanks be to auto-tune 😂' Mailata wrote.
Interestingly, fans chimed in and cheered for the possible Christmas duet.
'KellyxJordan duet is what the people want!!!' a user said.
Meanwhile, others reacted to Mailata's humorous downplaying of his talent.
'Bro, no need for false modesty. We KNOW you have pipes. Be proud, sing loud,' a fan noted.
