Eid Al Adha holidays announced in Oman
Muscat: On the advent of Eid Al Adha 1446 AH and as per the Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, holidays for employees of the State's Administrative Apparatus and other legal entities, as well as establishments of the private sector in the Sultanate of Oman has been announced.
As per the Royal directives, it has been decided that holidays will start from Thursday June 5, 2025 till Monday June 9, 2025.
Work will resume from Tuesday June 10, 2025.

Oman triumphs at Diplomatic Club's Tennis Tournament
Muscat: Team Oman emerged victorious in a thrilling finale against Team India at the International Tennis Team Championship 2025, hosted at the Diplomatic Club's tennis courts. The high-energy tournament was organized by the Diplomatic Club of Muscat, drawing 15 teams and around 55 players representing over 15 nationalities. Participating teams included four from Oman, two from India, and others from Italy, the UK, Indonesia, Lebanon, the Netherlands, the Commonwealth, and three teams from the Rest of the World. The tournament featured a round-robin format across four groups, followed by semi-finals and a grand finale. Each team clash consisted of three pro-set matches: singles, doubles, and a second singles match. The event was honored by the presence of: • H.E. Eleventh Five-Year Plan's Supervisory Committee holds third meeting
Muscat: The Supervisory Committee tasked with drafting the 11th Five-Year Development Plan on Sunday held its third meeting at the Ministry of Economy. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Said bin Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Committee The meeting was aimed to ensure that the 5-year plan's preparation is proceeding in accordance with the approved timeframes and technical specifications. This meeting was in pursuance of efforts to formulate a comprehensive development plan that keeps pace with the approaches of Oman Vision 2040 and contributes to sustainable economic and social development in the Sultanate of Oman. The meeting focused on developing a clear-cut, comprehensive five-year plan that aligns with national priorities and responds to the citizens' aspirations for the forthcoming stage. The meeting also laid emphasis on the integration of roles of different government departments, sector establishments and civil society institutions—to ensure that the 5-year plan would be effective in meeting the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
