Secret discount code drops price of LG 4K TV at Argos
Argos buyers can drop the price of a 4K LG TV for a limited time only, using this discount code
Argos shoppers are racing to buy an LG 4K TV that has been specially discounted on Argos. Usually priced at £179.99, the telly is on offer using the discount code RED10 at the checkout. The code takes the price down to £161.99, a saving of 10%.
LG's 43-inch box has a range of platforms, such as Freeview Play, Netflix and Disney+ (subscription fees may apply). It also has a full HD display and is built with 'AI Sound' technology for an enhanced audio experience.
The TV has also been designed with gaming in mind, thanks to its 'Game Optimiser' feature, which allows you to tweak the settings for the best viewing. The box also has built-in WiFi and Bluetooth.
The 4K LG TV has more than 1,200 reviews on Argos. One buyer rated it five stars, praising its picture quality: "Recently purchased this TV from Argos and I'm really impressed. The picture quality is sharp, the sound is clear, and it was super easy to set up straight out of the box. I also love the smart features—it connects to all my streaming apps without any issues."
Continuing: "It's great value for money, and the sleek design fits perfectly in my living room. If you're looking for a reliable TV without spending a fortune, I'd definitely recommend this one. Thanks, Argos."
LG fans hoping for a bigger screen can pick up a 50-inch 4K Smart TV from Amazon for 40% less. Originally £399.99, it is knocked down to £242. It has a sleek and slim design and promises an 'AI Sound Experience' and 'vibrant picture quality'.
Another alternative is a Hisense 50-inch TV, which is now £249 on Currys, reduced from £329. The device has built-in Amazon Alexa.
Another 4K LG TV customer wasn't happy with the design, writing: "Great picture quality and sound, the only reason I gave it three stars is the placement of the arial connection. It is directly where the frame for the wall bracket goes."
One shopper was pleased with the same-day delivery service, writing: "Very happy with my purchase. The perfect TV, a great size, lovely picture, and it works perfectly. Fast same-day delivery. Many thanks."
A fourth buyer noted: "Bought this for my son's bedroom, he uses it for general TV watching and gaming, and it doesn't disappoint. A really good TV, with picture quality and sound that is also great. It is at a great price. No complaints here."

For more information on the Switch 2's release, stock and games, check out our live blog here. Amazon's limited-time deal currently offers the Switch OLED, which would normally sell for £299.99 from retailers like Argos, for a majorly reduced price of £243.99. This makes this price for the Nintendo Switch OLED one of the cheapest, beating the likes of Currys, Argos, Very, and Nintendo itself. The Nintendo Switch OLED is currently retailing for £309 from Nintendo's own store, £309 from Currys, £399.99 from Very (which includes a copy of Super Smash Bro Ultimate and a VR headset), and £299.99 at Argos. Meanwhile, thanks to Amazon, the same model is available at a reduced price of £243.99, while this limited-time deal lasts. A variation of the Nintendo Switch, the OLED made several adjustments and improvements to the original device, the most notable being the namesake 7-inch OLED screen, which promises vibrant and vivid colour for more compelling gameplay. The newer model also comes equipped with an improved kickstand and more storage, 64GB over the original console's 32 GB. Stock for Nintendo Switch OLED deals run out very quickly during the likes of Black Friday sales and Prime Day, when stock runs out within hours of deals starting. But, this week, the OLED is still up for grabs with its nifty discount, without any warning of low stock levels at the time of writing. If you're thinking about taking advantage of this Amazon discount, then be sure to act fast. One shopper who picked up the OLED raves in their 5-star review: " The Nintendo Switch OLED Model is an absolute game-changer! It's beautiful, functional, and fun—everything you want in a console. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enhance their gaming experience!" And another chimes in: "Not my first Nintendo Switch but my first OLED version and the difference really is night and day. The OLED screen is a million times better than the standard Switch and Switch Lite, the games and colours pop so much more and are really vibrant. This was purchased as a family console for the living room and the updated dock and white design looks very sleek in the living room, as you come to expect with Nintendo there is a brilliant selection of games for all ages available!" Nintendo Switch 2 – live updates on launch day and where to buy
12 hours after a faltering midnight launch, there's Nintendo Switch 2 stock all over the place. However, same-day collections are starting to run out. Right now, Argos looks like your best bet, but not for long. It looks like Argos still has consoles, with same-day click-and-collect available nationwide, but in some locations, you may have to pick up your console at 4pm today or 9am tomorrow. In many Argos locations, the console has sold out. Amazon launched its stock at 8am this morning, but Currys has since run dry. After cancelling orders last week, Game has dropped some consoles. It's not just the obvious retailers; EE has launched bundles too. However, things are really starting to thin out. Reliable sources like Smyths Toys have just run out of consoles, and there's no more stock at Currys or Asda. If you're still trying to secure one, I'll be updating this blog with every restock as it happens. Stay tuned.
