Angel Reese Records Her Fourth Double-Double of the Season
Angel Reese Records Her Fourth Double-Double of the Season originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Angel Reese has established herself as the top rebounder in the WNBA. Her skills were evident once more on Tuesday when the Chicago Sky faced off against the New York Liberty. While the result wasn't what any Sky supporter hoped for, this team is still young and has significant potential for development. Players such as Hailey Van Lith and Kamilla Cardoso are set to rise, and Reese is already demonstrating franchise-level talent. The three-time BET Sportswoman of the Year arguably delivered her finest performance of the season against the Liberty.
She was a playmaker on offense with three assists and secured a couple of steals thanks to her aggressive defense. The Sky have faced challenges, now sitting at 2-6 for the season, with their only victories against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings, who currently hold a record of 1-9. Despite the relentless wave of online negativity aimed at her, the former LSU Tigers star continues to motivate her teammates.

Earlier this week, she addressed some of the negative social media posts she's endured. 'My brand is BUILT love. They can't stop what's already BUILT. The real KNOW the REAL…I really hope that check be worth the amount of lies yall make up EVERYDAY 🤣😭i REALLYYYYY hope.'
Reese finished the game with 17 points and 11 rebounds, shooting 8-13 from the field. Although the Sky fell a little short against the reigning WNBA champions, Angel has no reason to feel disappointed. She certainly more than proved her worth tonight and looked to be one of the top players on the court.
Chicago will be back in action on Friday as they head to Atlanta to face the Dream.

WNBA Makes Allisha Gray Announcement After Fever's Blowout Loss to Dream
WNBA Makes Allisha Gray Announcement After Fever's Blowout Loss to Dream originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Indiana Fever came crashing back down to earth on Tuesday night. After logging back-to-back wins, including a 79-52 blowout victory against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky, the Fever suffered an embarrassing loss at the hands of the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday, 77-58. Advertisement Indiana had done well to fill the massive void left by Caitlin Clark amid her injury spell, which extended to four straight games on Tuesday. They won two straight games without the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year, but there's no denying that the Fever felt Clark's absence against the Dream. It was Allisha Gray who led the charge once again for Atlanta in this one, as the two-time All-Star went off for a game-high 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting, six rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block in 33 minutes of action. Not long after the final buzzer, the WNBA announced Gray as the game's Top Performer. Gray has kept her foot on the gas for the Dream since being named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week earlier this month. She has been pivotal to Atlanta's success this season, and there are currently no signs of the 6-foot guard slowing down anytime soon. Advertisement Thanks to Gray's heroics, Atlanta has improved to 6-3 on the season and has strengthened their grip on the No. 3 spot in the WNBA. Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray (15) dribbles against the Indiana Fever in the first half at State Farm Arena. Brett Davis-Imagn Images The Fever, on the other hand, fall to 4-5 ahead of their big matchup against the defending champs, the New York Liberty, on Saturday. It remains to be seen at this point if Clark will be able to suit up for that highly anticipated clash. Sophie Cunningham's Behavior Before Fever-Dream Game Catches the WNBA's Attention
Sophie Cunningham's Behavior Before Fever-Dream Game Catches the WNBA's Attention originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Indiana Fever are in action on Tuesday as they look to make it three straight wins amid Caitlin Clark's injury absence. It's a road game for the 4-4 Fever with the Atlanta Dream hosting a shorthanded Indiana side at Gateway Center Arena. Advertisement The WNBA posted a video of the Fever's arrival at the venue, which was an opportunity for the players to show off their pregame outfits. Six-time All-Star DeWanna Bonner immediately stood out with her all-black ensemble that featured a halter-style top and wide-leg trousers. Bonner was more than happy to strike a pose for the cameras, too. Coming next to her was Sophie Cunningham, whose fit didn't exactly match her teammate's powerful, fashion-forward look. The seventh-year guard went for a simpler, sportier vibe that featured an oversized long-sleeve sweatshirt, black leggings, a pair of white sneakers and a white baseball cap. Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham (8) shoots the Becker-Imagn Images Cunningham was visibly shocked after seeing Bonner strut her stuff like she was on a fashion runway, and she admittedly did not know how she was going to follow up her teammate's pose. Advertisement Cunningham tried her best, and her hilarious behavior caught the attention of the WNBA. "When the group chat didn't discuss a dress code. DeWanna Bonner pulled up looking runway ready, and Sophie Cunningham didn't know how to follow it up 🤣," the league wrote. View the original article to see embedded media. As the WNBA indicated in its post, Bonner and Cunningham clearly failed to coordinate their outfits. It looked like they were attending two entirely different events. At the end of the day, though, both players headed into the arena with the same goal in mind, and that is to get the W. Cunningham, however, will need to support her team from the sidelines as she continues to nurse an ankle injury. Advertisement Cunningham, who joined the Fever as an offseason recruit, will miss her third straight game due to the ankle issue, but she could potentially return in Indiana's next contest, which is on Saturday against the defending champions, New York Liberty. Dakota Johnson Wows in a Slinky Gucci Slip for the "Materialists" Premiere
"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." Dakota Johnson is trading in her go-to transparent for elegant silk. After recently stepping out in a fabulous see-through skirt and top set, the Materialists star opted for a black silk dress for the New York City premiere of her new film, starring Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal. Held at DGA Theater on Saturday evening, Johnson posed on the red carpet in the slinky dress, which featured a draped one-shoulder design with a scarf neck sash that flowed behind the actor like a ribbon train. The Persuasion star accessorized the Gucci dress with black strappy sandals and long, chandelier diamond earrings that blended into her straight glossy locks. She kept her makeup natural but glowy, with a luminous bronze look and a pop of pinkish-nude lip color from Beauty Pie cosmetics. Later, on the Materialists red carpet, the Fifty Shades of Grey star posed alongside Evans and a large cardboard head cut-out of Pascal, who wasn't physically present at the premiere. Johnson and Evans made sure to let Pascal know he was missed, each taking turns kissing the cut-out as the Madame Web actor held it in her hand. While Johnson is know for her love of a good naked dress, a style which she has worn on several occasions from Cannes to Los Angeles, she is also a fan of a stylish silk slip. Last September, the star kicked off New York Fashion week at a star-studded Bulgari event where she looked once again effortlessly elegant in a chocolate-brown silk slip featuring a plunge V-neckline with a transparent lace bust. Styled with a bronze coin pendant adored with pavé diamonds, Johnson successfully put her own boho-chic spin on the lingerie dress trend.
