Albert joined PSG in 2022. She played 71 matches in all competitions and scored nine goals for the Parisian club.
Albert has made 26 appearances for the United States. She was part of the team which won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics last year.

Germany captain Gwinn suffers knee injury in their Euros opener

Gwinn, 26, hurt herself in a tackle against Poland star Ewa Pajor. She returned after treatment but lay down immediately again and was helped off in the 40th minute. Advertisement A diagnosis was not available immediately from the German team. Bayern Munich's Gwinn rupured a cruciate ligament in her right knee in 2020 and in her left knee in 2022, which sidelined her for many months on both occasions. Gwinn is considered a key player in the German team which is bidding for a record extending ninth title at the Euros in Switzerland. Thweir other group stage opponents are Denmark and Sweden.
