Forgive the late post, dearest Strandistarians. I'm traveling abroad and my sense of time is all messed up and I had an issue with scheduling this one. It (hopefully, probably) won't happen again! In any case, let's dive right in and uncover some words!
Strands is the newest game in the New York Times' stable of puzzle games. It's a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we're given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board, revealing more about the rest of the words on the grid.
Spoilers ahead.
Read on for today's theme and some hints to help you uncover today's words. Instead of giving you the first two letters of each word, today I'm giving out three hints instead of two.

An easier-than-usual Strands today. Once you get the first word—MAST in my case—it becomes quite obvious what this is all about. Then there's the fact that most of the words are quite short: HULL, HELM, KEEL, etc. The slightly longer words are all pretty squared away in corners, like TILLER. All told, an easy breezy Strands.

'Sex and the City 'Star Kristin Davis Clarifies That She Never Dated Chris Noth
Sex and the City stars Kristin Davis and Chris Noth were previously rumored to have dated during their time on the show But on Friday, June 6, a fan of the show asked Davis in her Instagram comments if the decades-old rumors were true The HBO star promptly replied, and clarified that she and Noth "didn't" dateKristin Davis is clearing up decades-old rumors. The Sex and the City and And Just Like That... star clarified in an Instagram comment on Friday, June 6, that she and her costar, Chris Noth, never dated. Davis, 60, currently hosts the Are You A Charlotte? podcast, where she chats all things Sex and the City with guests, including Megan Thee Stallion on the Monday, June 2 episode. The 30-year-old musician has notably shared her distaste for Noth's character, Mr. Big, Carrie Bradshaw's on-and-off again love interest through the series and films. On Friday, June 6, Davis shared a clip of her discussion with the Grammy winner, who said, 'I'm not pro-Big. I hate Big.' But one follower commented, 'Maam didn't you date him??' Davis retorted and finally put to rest the rumors that have swirled about her and Noth. 'No i didnit!!!' The Instagram user thanked Davis for her candor. 'omg I have been lied to thank you for setting me straight!! i even googled this and there are several links saying you did i swear i didn't make this up.' Davis starred as Charlotte, alongside Noth, 70, and Sarah Jessica Parker. She was one of Carrie's three best friends, along with Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Samantha (Kim Cattrall). During Megan Thee Stallion's appearance on Davis' podcast, the rapper asked if Big (a.k.a. John James Preston) was a part of the Sex and the City spinoff, And Just Like That… 'Something happened to him,' Davis said with a knowing smile, before asking, 'Should I ask her? I don't want to ruin it for you.' 'Tell me,' the musician said, and Davis very quietly whispered, 'He died,' leaving the singer shocked with her mouth agape. In the And Just Like That… premiere in 2021, Carrie and Mr. Big are in wedded bliss, only for their happiness to come to an abrupt halt when Big suffers a fatal heart attack after a 45-minute ride on his at-home Peloton bike. Diddy Tells 'Jane' to 'Get on Your Job' in Annoyed Voice Message, New Evidence
Diddy was apparently about to ghost his then-girlfriend if she didn't "get back on her "job" ... calling her out in an annoyed voice message played for the jury in his federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial in NYC Friday. "Jane" -- Diddy's ex who is testifying under a pseudonym -- was back on the stand for a second day of direct examination Friday ... and, prosecutors introduced several voice messages they say the mogul sent to her. One voice message begins with Diddy telling Jane he's about to up and disappear on her ... because she might be giving him the silent treatment, but he isn't going to play games with her. Diddy goes out of his way to say he's not threatening Jane ... saying he's too old for her BS -- and adding it's alright for them to fight, but after that she'd better "get on your job." He doesn't clarify exactly what he means here, but much of Jane's testimony indicates that she felt this meant he wanted her to get back into the bedroom for more "hotel nights" -- Diddy and Jane's term for freak-offs. In another phone call, Diddy tells Jane he's allowed to hang out with whomever he wants -- including other women -- and, he's not going to apologize for what they do together. While he says a recent interaction with a woman was a totally platonic workout, Diddy tells her he can have sex with whomever he likes, he's "single." Diddy also tells Jane she doesn't know how to move on from petty slights ... saying he already sent her flowers, so she can't be upset that he sent flowers to another girl too. As you know ... Jane testified Friday about freak-offs she says she participated in with Diddy from May 2021 up through August 2024 -- telling the jury she often took ecstasy for sexual energy and to numb the overwhelming nature of the experiences. She says her pelvic area was frequently sore after the freak-offs -- and talked about other medical issues she says she suffered during the relationships ... like urinary tract infections, nipple infections and lower back pain from the different sexual positions she was in for hours. Jane says she felt she needed to keep participating in the freak-offs because Diddy paid her rent ... and, she worried the tap would be turned off if she didn't. Her testimony also touched on the different "entertainers" she says she slept with ... including a man named Sly who she said she helped arrange travel for from Atlanta to L.A. and New York for freak-offs -- all of which she says Diddy paid for.
