Trump Vows MSNBC Host ‘Will Be Fired' in Truth Social Rampage
President Donald Trump has taken aim at MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace in a bizarre social media rant. The drama started when 79-year-old Trump kicked off his Sunday morning with a cryptic post on Truth Social. 'Bela,' he wrote, leaving his followers to debate the meaning of the word. In a reply, one user posted a doctored photo of Wallace with a 'Karen' haircut and a red nose alongside the text, 'Typhoid Mary Nicole Wallace,' 'Clown news,' and 'Nicole Wallace is afraid of losing her job. Get her a Waaambulance.' A fake news ticker showed the MSNBC logo alongside the word 'misinformation.' Wallace, who now hosts Deadline: White House on MSNBC, was former White House communications director under President George W. Bush. 'She is a loser, with bad ratings, who was already thrown off of The View,' Trump replied on Sunday. 'She will be fired soon! MSNBC IS DEAD!' The post came after the president shared his disdain for members of the media after he met with President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday, where he failed to secure a ceasefire. Before the meeting on Friday, Trump firmly stated that Putin could expect 'severe consequences' if he didn't agree to end the fighting in Ukraine. But the president has since changed his tune, saying achieving peace will require territorial concessions from Ukraine. He is slated to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday. 'It's incredible how the Fake News violently distorts the TRUTH when it comes to me,' he raged. 'There is NOTHING I can say or do that would lead them to write or report honestly about me. I had a great meeting in Alaska on Biden's stupid War, a war that should have never happened!!!' In a second post, Trump added, 'If I got Russia to give up Moscow as part of the Deal, the Fake News, and their PARTNER, the Radical Left Democrats, would say I made a terrible mistake and a very bad deal. That's why they are the FAKE NEWS!'

Peter Alexander said President Donald Trump's aides' 'eyes were wide' when they left the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
NBC News Chief White House Correspondent Peter Alexander says he won't forget the 'looks on the faces' of President Donald Trump's team at his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Reporting from Anchorage on Friday, Alexander told MSNBC host Jen Psaki that the mood in the Trump camp appeared deflated after the two leaders held closed-door talks on ending Russia's war in Ukraine. The much-touted meeting failed to secure a ceasefire. 'What struck me, Jen, in particular, was really just the looks on the faces of the American delegation here,' Alexander said, naming Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.

Spike Lee Says Trump Should ‘Think Twice' if He Considers a Federal Takeover of New York: ‘The Boogie-Down? Harlem?'
"This is a scary time," the "Do the Right Thing" director tells the Rev. Al Sharpton on MSNBC Spike Lee's characters say 'Wake up!' in 'Do the Right Thing,' 'School Daze' and 'Malcolm X' – and now the director has put the signature line in his weekend MSNBC appearance, too. Speaking with 'Politics Nation' host Rev. Al Sharpton on Saturday to promote the Denzel Washington film 'Highest 2 Lowest,' Lee said the Trump administration's federal law-enforcement takeover in Washington, D.C., wouldn't go quite the same if the president tried it in New York City. Harlem?' | Video 'Butterfly' Release Schedule: Are More Episodes on the Way? Gal Gadot Says She Left 'Entourage' Set Because Someone Behaved Inappropriately, 'Hated' the Experience 'This country right now is … it's bananas, and this and this guy trying to take over D.C. and just weaponize these things,' Lee said. 'And I mean, he's going to think twice [if he tries] to do that in New York though. The Boogie Down? Harlem?' Sharpton agreed, saying that it would 'be a different kind of reaction.' Chuckling with glee, Lee responded: 'Oh yeah. It's gonna be very different.' Sharpton asked Lee what he thought about Trump mobilizing federal agents and National Guard troops 'in heavily Black and brown cities with Black mayors,' given how Lee has portrayed authoritarian law enforcement throughout his films. 'They're weaponizing these other agencies of the United States government,' Lee said more gravely. 'And this is — this is a scary time. The last word in 'School Daze' … my brother … Lawrence Fishburne saying, 'Wake up!' And the first line in 'Do the Right Thing' you know — Samuel Jackson saying, 'Wake up.' So we need to wake up. We need to wake up. You know, it's some serious times and we gotta be on point and just be in the moment and see this three-card-monte game — watch the black, watch the black, watch the black! … you can't win.' 'Highest 2 Lowest' is in theaters now. Watch the entire exchange in the video above.
