This is the Range Rover Sport 'Nocturne'. It is a special, one-off designed and built exclusively to show off the company's expanding 'SV Bespoke' programme.
As that name rather suggests, it means prospective owners of the Range Rover Sport are now able to create potentially awful/potentially brilliant colour and trim and finish options on their massive, powerful SUV.

It was previously only available on the Big Boy Range Rover, and now that it's trickled into that big boy's more athletic (comparatively) sibling, it opens up a world of hand-polished, gloss finish, 3D knitted opulence.
So, this 'Nocturne' SV – apparently 'inspired by the skies above the Mediterranean' – features a special 'Indigo Gloss' body colour, forged carbon detailing, and 'Lunar and Ebony' leather seats. Looks… inky. Less terrifying than the recently revealed RRS SV Black, that's for sure.
'Since we introduced SV Bespoke for Range Rover, we have seen a surge in demand for our personalisation service,' said Martin Limpert, Range Rover's global MD. 'In the last year, we have created some incredible one-of-one vehicles which showcase the best of Range Rover craft, such as the Range Rover SV Candeo.
'Now is the right time to extend this offer to Range Rover Sport clients, following the introduction of our renewed Range Rover Sport SV line-up.'

Want to bespokeify your own SV? You can choose from up to 230 exterior colours across gloss and satin finishes, or literally any colour you want via SV's 'match to sample' service. There's the option of a carbon bonnet, eight - eight! – versions of the Range Rover 'script', a new finish for the 23in wheels, and new caliper colours.
There's more inside, too, like 15 different colour and material options allowing more than 1,500 possible combinations.
There'll be what Range Rover is calling a 'global commissioning suite' – a place to sit, relax, and spec to your heart's content – with sites already in London, Antwerp, Munich, Vancouver, Beijing, Tokyo and Dubai. Five more are in the pipeline.
About that Nocturne. It'll be previewed at 'Range Rover House Mykonos' until 26 July, and then offered for private sale.

JLR has named its new CEO

The dramatic change in the company's fortunes was underpinned by the popularity of its highly profitable Defender and Range Rover models, which have put JLR on track to achieve a targeted 10% profit margin by 2026. Mardell has also overseen the formation of JLR's House of Brands retail strategy, under which Defender, Discovery, Range Rover and Jaguar have each been carved out as distinct brands in their own right, with bespoke marketing strategies centred around the positioning of those model families. But arguably the most significant moment of Mardell's tenure as boss was the unveiling of the radical Jaguar Type 00 concept, which marked the beginning of the all-out transformation of the marque from a BMW and Mercedes-Benz rival to a purveyor of high-end, high-performance EVs that will do battle with Bentley. The first of these models, a four-door super-GT in the vein of the Porsche Taycan, is now in the final stages of testing ahead of a production-spec unveiling at the end of the year and a launch in summer 2026 - until which time no Jaguar models are being produced. In a recent interview with Autocar, Mardell revealed that he had driven the new GT and said it was the "most fun I've had" in his time as JLR boss. "It was stunning in terms of its speed, its acceleration, its performance, but also how it delivered the power with a real sense of character," he said. "The chassis team are really excited about the possibilities of the vehicle.'

You can now buy Queen Elizabeth II's old supercharged Range Rover

You can now buy Queen Elizabeth II's old supercharged Range Rover Her old L322 is heading up for auction, and it's had some tasteful royal mods Skip 5 photos in the image carousel and continue reading Turn on Javascript to see all the available pictures. 1 / 5 We'd usually cringe at additional aftermarket bonnet ornaments adorning relatively modern cars, but there's something about this little labrador with a pheasant in its mouth that just works on this particular L322 Range Rover. That's chiefly because this 2006 Rangie and its miniature canine companion were originally owned by the late Queen Elizabeth II, which is why it's finished in the excellent 'royal household colours' of Tonga Green paint and Sand Oxford leather. Clear glass too, plus extended walnut trim. Very classy. Advertisement - Page continues below There are some special royal mods too, with Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations division fitting side steps, mud flaps, a boot liner, rear grab handles and a dog guard for the royal pooches. There's also upgraded internal wiring to allow for the use of extra security kit. It's also the only supercharged L322 Her Majesty ever owned. So yep, it's got the big 4.2-litre V8. The best bit? You could now own this particular car, because it's coming up for auction at Iconic Auctioneers' Silverstone Festival sale. The Rangie currently has around 120,000 miles on its clock, and there are plenty of pictures of it in service with Queen Elizabeth II from its time at Windsor Castle. And yes, we know it was based there from the service history. We'd be surprised if there was a better cared-for L322 out there with this many miles on it. Although that's reflected in the auction estimate, of course. It'll apparently go for somewhere between £50,000 and £70,000. Asda shopper finds trolley's 'secret button' that makes supermarkets much easier

The simple feature is a game changer for anyone who has ever had to park on an incline or a decline - and if if you're like writer Alex Evans, a parent who shops for the weekly food shop with a baby in tow The constant struggle of juggling heavy shopping bags, a baby in the trolley and navigating an uneven car park filled with hefty, pricey 4x4s is all too familiar to many. ‌ It's a disaster waiting to happen, whether it's a runaway trolley with your baby inside or a pile of groceries crashing into a Range Rover as soon as you've buckled your little one into their car seat and turned your back. ‌ However, writer Alex Evans stumbled upon a hidden feature on many supermarket trolleys designed for just such situations: a foot brake button. While in other similar news, a shopper compared prices of Aldi and M&S essentials and the results amazed her. ‌ In several Asda branches across Leeds, trolleys are equipped with a metal switch on the right-hand side that can be activated with your foot - a button which instantly immobilises the trolley, regardless of how uneven the ground is or how much heavy shopping you have in the trolley (in Alex's case, 72 cans of Pepsi Max. It's his guilty pleasure). ‌ Usually, Alex is forced to wedge the trolley against the car, risking damage to my paintwork, while swiftly transferring his son from the trolley seat to his car seat, all the while trying to prevent the trolley from rolling into a parked vehicle. But after months of performing this balancing act, Alex discovered the small switch underfoot, he told the Express. Simply press it, and the trolley is rendered immobile. Once you've finished loading your shopping, just flick it back up and the trolley is free to move again. Also spotting it in Asda, he realised it's been everywhere all along. The identical switch appears on some Morrisons branches' trolleys as well. Not everywhere though, it appears quite random which branches feature these hidden buttons and which don't. A woman in Australia recently experienced a similar everyday revelation. She shared a video on TikTok in which she declared: "I was 26 years old when I realised Woolworths trolleys have a brake! Please tell me I'm not alone!" Mikhaela revealed in her clip. According to 7News, in Australia the trolleys most likely to feature the secret brake lock button are those located in sloping car parks. TikTok users suggest that even more supermarket stores should feature them, claiming trolley brakes are a brilliant idea. One comment noted: "Only some shops have them, not all. But I think all trolleys should have them."
