The veteran Spanish star Sergio Busquets, Inter Miami midfielder, expressed his great respect for Al Ahly ahead of their anticipated game in the opening of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
In statements published by the FIFA official website, Busquets confirmed the difficulty of the opening match against Al Ahly, emphasizing the importance of making a strong start in the tournament, especially since they are playing on home soil and in front of their fans in Miami.
Busquets said: 'We are happy to play the first match of the tournament in our city, and we are fully aware of the importance of a good start. We will face a great team with vast experience in such tournaments, and they have achieved many successes in Africa.'
The Spanish star added: 'Al Ahly is an excellent team, accustomed to participating in the Club World Cup, and they have an impressive record in Africa, so we know the match will not be easy at all.'
Busquets continued by highlighting the enthusiasm of the Miami fans: 'We have a passionate fanbase, which includes a large number of Latinos who constantly support the team, and we are grateful for them.'
On participating in the tournament, Busquets said: 'It's exciting to be part of this edition of the Club World Cup, which brings together some of the best clubs in the world.
