San Fernando Valley Chuck E. Cheese patron is rescued from a game
Video taken of the rescue shows a young woman on her knees within a plastic enclosure of the "Snow Day!" game with her arm somehow stuck.
Burbank Fire Department firefighters responded to a rescue call at the San Fernando Boulevard Chuck E. Cheese just before 3 p.m.
Crews were on scene for about 20 minutes and were able to free her hand, according to BFD. The department called it a minor incident, and the young woman was not injured.
A Chuck E. Cheese spokesperson said the "Snow Day!" game does not pose a risk, but that the "young adult was playing one of the games intended for children and decided to stick their arm in a hole not intended for hands or arms."
After the rescue, the young woman stayed at the restaurant and "continued to enjoy an evening of fun with the family," the company spokesperson said in a statement.

‘Songs From the Hole' Review: From Murder to Anguished Reckoning
The hole James Jacobs was sent to at 25 shouldn't be seen as a portal. And yet, Jacobs, ostensibly serving a life sentence for murder, embraced that possibility when he began writing music in solitary confinement. By then he'd been in prison 10 years. Visually fluid and emotionally complex, the nonfiction hybrid 'Songs From the Hole,' directed by Contessa Gayles, offers viewers their own portal: into James's anguished reckoning, but also into bedeviling questions about crime, punishment and forgiveness. At 15, Jacobs killed a young man in Long Beach, Calif. In voice-over, James admits that at the time he 'had made up my mind to be the hardest' member of the gang. Three days later, Jacobs's brother, Victor, was murdered. Jacobs's father, a preacher, recounts how agonizing it was to read the police report of James's crime. And, in a telling example of just how contradictory we humans can be: As devastating as James's sentencing had been for her, Jacobs's mother recalls that when Victor's killer was sentenced to life she 'was not satisfied.' The film mixes interviews with evocatively filmed recreations (Myles Lassiter is especially notable playing young James). Those 'visual album' moments accompany songs Jacobs — a.k.a. 'JJ'88'— penned: 'Letter to the Homies,' 'Most Hunted' and the animation-accompanied 'Steel Grave,' among them. About that last one, James (Devonte Hoy) raps the first two stanzas to his father. Sitting on the other side of a glass partition, his dad offers what he sees as missing: Hope. Corny? Hardly. Gayles has crafted a film that refuses to tidy the conflicted feelings its subjects share — or those feelings it stirs in us. Songs From the HoleNot rated. Running time: 1 hour 46 minutes. Watch on Netflix.

Military wife says American Airlines accidentally charged her $3,600 after she flew to visit hubby on base— and refused to refund her: ‘Not very American'
This sky-high charge was hardly fare. A traveling mom says American Airlines bilked her out of more than $3000 following a ticketing error — and initially refused to refund her the money. The peeved passenger, known only as Katie, took to TikTok to tell the ticketing tale, publicly pleading for the carrier to make the situation right. 'American Airlines accidentally charged me thousands of dollars, and now they're refusing to pay me back,' the Californian claimed at the outset of her viral video, which clocked up 1.6 million views. Katie explained that her husband was in the military, and that she and her five-month-old baby had traveled to Japan to visit him there. Rather than obtain a return ticket, crafty Katie decided to book her flight back to America using airline miles gained through a credit card. 'I'm pretty savvy with using credit card points and airline miles, so I'd been checking the American Airlines site daily for an award ticket to open up,' she subsequently told the Daily Mail. 'When one finally became available, I booked it and immediately called American Airlines to add my five-month-old as a lap infant.' An airline employee informed her that she would have to pay an additional $386 fee for her baby, which she paid for over the phone. However, a receipt revealed that Katie was charged not just $386 — but also an additional $3,674 for 'a second full-price ticket under her name.' Katie called back and an American Airlines rep allegedly assured her that she would be refunded the $3,674.11 within a week. Upon check-in at Okinawa Airport, a Japanese gate agent was 'confused' by the fact that there were two tickets in Katie's name — the one purchased with credit card points and the $3,674 one processed in error. 'I had two tickets in my name, on the same flight, under the same confirmation code,' the mom said. Despite the gate agent 'assuring' the mom that she was using the award ticket, a refund never came through when she arrived back in the US. At home, Katie claims she spent close to '50 hours' on hold with various American Airlines staff who were unable to resolve the situation. After weeks of chasing up the airline, she was purportedly informed that she was ineligible for a refund because the Japanese gate agent had checked her in with the erroneous $3,674 ticket. 'I had this huge weight on my chest knowing a massive corporation had taken thousands of dollars from me, and it would keep me up at night,' Katie said — but saying she turned to TikTok in a last-ditch effort to try and get her money back. The public pleading worked — with the mom's video instantly going viral and eventually attracting American Airlines' attention. 'Boosting this for you! Never flying American Airlines after hearing about this,' one supporter vowed. 'You deserve your money back.' 'Not very 'American' of American Airlines to do this to a military mom who was traveling solo,' another said. Soon after, Katie received a call from the airline saying she would be getting a refund for the charge as well as a 7,500-mile bonus as an 'apology.' The 'vindicated' mom said it spoke to the power of social media to pressure companies into acting ethically. 'It's incredibly disappointing that such a large corporation can fail its customers this badly,' she stated. American Airlines told The Post in a statement: 'Our team has been in touch with this customer and offered her an apology, refunded her in full and offered her a gesture of goodwill.' Travis Kelce's 'Happy Gilmore 2' Thirst Trap Quickly Turns Tragic
Travis Kelce's 'Happy Gilmore 2' Thirst Trap Quickly Turns Tragic originally appeared on Parade. What started off as an apparent thirst trap for in the newly released Happy Gilmore 2quickly turned tragic for his character. The twisted moment, uploaded to X by a fan, is clearly a daydream for caddy character, featuring calming music and an airy filter to set the scene as the musician approaches the athlete, who is tied up to a lamppost without his shirt on. But what starts out, based on the brief clip, as a could-be sensual fantasy quickly devolves as the musician leaves Kelce's character for the wolves, er, bears. He slathers honey across the tight end's chest and neck with a large paintbrush, turning the whimsical moment sour as a CGI bear enters the scene to maul Kelce, leaving his character screaming in distress. Over on Instagram, fans had a field day with the moment. "Now we got bad blood," one wrote, quoting Kelce's lover, as the athlete's character clearly holds no positive space in Bad Bunny's character's heart. "Get those Eagle feathers away from me! Please, I'm begging you," someone else imagined the Chiefs star saying. "WAX ON, WAX OFF. 😂," another exclaimed. Many also recalled his recent viral comments on New Heights about becoming the Pretty Man to 1990's Pretty Woman. "Pretty man getting ready for when Tay comes home," one quipped, as another commented, "Getting ready to just have a tie on.""First preview from behind the scenes of Pretty Man coming to theaters Nov 2026," another Kelce's 'Happy Gilmore 2' Thirst Trap Quickly Turns Tragic first appeared on Parade on Jul 25, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jul 25, 2025, where it first appeared.
