
South White, South Green win basketball ties
South White defeated Malir District by 52-42 points while South Green beat District East by 65-51 in the Kashmir Day Rangers Cup Basketball Tournament being played at the International Abdul Nasser Basketball Court, Aram Bagh on Friday.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Syed Yousuf Naseem, a Hurriyat leader from Azad Kashmir and an official guest of the Sindh Government.
The tournament is being held under the auspices of 31 Wing Abdullah Shah Ghazi Rangers and in collaboration with the Karachi Basketball Association (KBA).
In the first match, Haris Shahid scored18 points the winning outfit South White. Muneeb Ur Rehman scored 15 points and Muhammad Zaid Ashraf scored 12 points.
For the runner-up team Malir, Hadi Hassan scored 19 points, Naveed Iqbal scored 12 points and Muhammad Ayaan scored 10 points.
In the second match, shinig for winners South Green was Zain-ul-Abideen Channa who scored 20 points, Daniyal Khan Marwat scored 18 points and Abdul Rafi scored12 points.
For the runner-up team, Abdullah Khan scored 21 points, Muhammad Huzaifa scored 10 points and Haris Khan scored 10 points.
KBA President Barrister Ghulam Abbas Jamal Chaudhry, KCCI Member Asif Gulfam, Commissioner Karachi's Director of Sports Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Asif Kiani and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
The technical officials and referees for the tournament included Zahid Malik, Muhammad Ashraf, Amir Sharif, Naeem Ahmed, Zaeema Khatoon, Zulfiqar Abbas Khan, and Usman Sheikh.

District South, Bahria Club win titles
Karachi District South edged past Karachi Malir District by 68-59 points to win the boys basketball title while Bahria Club triumphed over Dow Club with a score of 18-14 points to clinch the girls basketball title in the Kashmir Day Rangers Cup Basketball Tournament that concluded at International Abdul Nasir Basketball Court, Aram Bagh on Sunday night. The chief guest at the final was Lieutenant Colonel Amanullah Faiz who distributed the prizes among the winners and runner-up teams. He was accompanied by Asad Shakir as well as other military and civil officers. In the boys final, Nabeel Ahmed (20 points), Haris Shahid (18 points) and Muaz Ashraf (18 points) excelled on the court for Karachi District South while for the losing side Karachi Malir District, Daniyal Khan Marwat (17 points), Abdullah Khan (15 points) and Hassan Ali (14 points) were the outstanding performers. In the girls final, notable performances came from Dua Batool, Fiza Khan, Raheema Khan, Umaima Baig, Fiza Khan and Hafsa Khan. KBA President Barrister Ghulam Abbas Jamal Chaudhry honoured Rangers officers and other distinguished guests with the Shahida Parveen Kayani Award for their dedicated service to sports on behalf of the Kashmiri people. Also present on the occasion were Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Ghulam Abbas Jamal Advocate, Sheikh Aqil Ahmed, Kaleem Awan, Sheikh Shakeel, Haider Khan, Khurshid Alam, Khalid Rahmani, Dr. Nighat Aqil, Nasir Hussain Khan**, and several others. The tournament was organized by 31 Wing Abdullah Shah Ghazi Rangers and Karachi Basketball Association with the support of Engineering Solution Company and Aram Bagh Alliance of Markets Association.

South Green advances to boys final
South Green secured a place in the final by defeating Malir District in the boys semifinal with a score of 52-42 in the ongoing Kashmir Day Rangers Cup Basketball Tournament. For the winning team, Zain-ul-Abideen Channa scored 20 points, Hassan Ali scored 15 points, and Daniyal Khan Marwat also contributed 15 points. On the runner-up team, Sameer Saleem scored 14 points, Raza Ahmed scored 12 points, and Abdul Qadir added 10 points. Bahria White, Dow Club in girls event final
The Kashmir Day Rangers Cup Basketball Tournament has entered its final stage, with both girls' semi-finals and one boys' semi-final concluding on Tuesday night. In the girls' event, Bahria White defeated Bahria Green 11-9, while Dow Club secured a victory over Aram Bagh 17-14 to claim a place in the final. Outstanding performances came from Raheema, Fiza, Jaweria, Neelam, Umeema, Fatima, Driesha, Tayyiba, and Aira. In the boys' event, Karachi District South secured a spot in the final by defeating Karachi District East 66-45. Key performances from the winning team included Haji Muhammad Zaid Ashraf, who scored 22 points with five three-pointers, Nabeel Ahmed with 20 points (four three-pointers), and Haris Shahid with 15 points.
