Oasis support act's huge promise ahead of Glasgow gig
After performing three shows at Murrayfield in Edinburgh, Ashcroft took to Instagram to thank fans for their support.

However, the 53-year-old, from Lancashire, England, also promised to 'take the roof off the gaff' at his Glasgow concert next year, which means to create a very loud and exciting atmosphere at the venue.
In the post, the singer said: "Salute Edinburgh, cooling down at the airport.
"Just wanted to thank everyone who came down to the shows and gave so much love.
"The people I met on the street with your kind words and positivity, they will live with me forever. See some of you again next year in Glasgow when we take the roof off that gaff, peace and love forever, RA."
Richard is known for his hits, including A Song For The Lovers, Break The Night With Colour, Lover, and Bittersweet Symphony.

An insider revealed to the Mirror: "Noel has been energised by performing to devoted audiences, who have supercharged his creativity. But he is undecided whether his work will become a new album for Oasis with Liam on vocals." Noel, who also leads High Flying Birds, is reportedly "waiting to see how things play out". However the insider disclosed: "Noel has been in an absolutely fine mood... greeting staff with smiles, super relaxed and sharing his joy about the shows. "He's also been strumming some new tunes in his dressing room. But, from what he has said, these tracks are not yet aligned for any project. "There is no Oasis studio return as yet agreed by the band, and they still have a long way to go. Things are great now, but who knows what will happen given the brothers' past troubles on the road." Oasis parted ways back in 2009 follow a massive row between the siblings, however they delighted fans last year announcing they would reunite as they launched the Oasis reunion tour in Cardiff back in July. The pair are set to earn £50million each if they can maintain harmony during their travels and have so far kept their distance from one another backstage. In Ireland this weekend, even their hotels were reportedly 30 miles apart. Filmmaker Charlie Lightening revealed Liam's pre-gig routine and how he anticipated both him and sibling Noel would maintain their distance. "With Liam, he'll come and do the soundcheck, then he'll go to his hotel room and just chill all day," he previously said. "And then most of the time, he turns up 20 minutes before he goes on stage, straight into his dressing room, finishes off his warm-up. No one talks to him. "He comes out five minutes before the show, does the show, then goes straight off into his car. You don't really see him." Charlie reckons the animosity between Liam and elder brother Noel is precisely what drives Oasis forward, as he said: "It will never fully go. It will still have that edge, for sure." Following Ireland the group heads across the pond to Canada, US, and Mexico, before returning to Wembley Stadium in London on September 27 and 28. They will then travel further afield to Asia, Australia and South America, with the final date of their Oasis Live '25 tour taking place in Sao Paulo in Brazil on November 22 and 23.

Liam and Noel Gallagher's mum Peggy has finally seen her two sons on stage with Oasis for the first time in 16 years, and is attending their Croke Park concerts in Dublin Proud mum Peggy Gallagher has finally been to see the Oasis reunion - with Liam Gallagher dedicating a song to her tonight in Dublin. As the band performed Stand By Me, Liam could be heard saying: "This one I want to dedicate to my mum, my mum is here tonight." There were big cheers from the fans at Croke Park in response. The 92-year-old mum of Noel and Liam Gallagher is thrilled her sons have patched up their differences and reunited the band. She has spoken about planning to see them on the Oasis Live 25 tour too and still lives in Manchester, where she brought up her three sons in Burnage. But Peggy avoided the all-standing Manchester shows so she could see them in comfort in a box when they played in Dublin. In an interview in June, Peggy was asked if she had anything to do with the reunion between Noel and Liam. She said: "I was the instigator, yes. But sure, wasn't it always going to happen at some time or other? It was their choice, of course. Look you can't force them to do things they don't want to do'. She confessed she was relieved to see her sons working together again, following a years-long rift between the two. 'It's great, because nobody wants their kids falling out, do they?' she said, although she admitted to being nervous about the shows and would be 'glad when it's all just over because it makes me get too stressed.' Peggy has been spending time with both Noel and Liam in the run-up to the live tour, and was on holiday with Liam and his partner Debbie in the South of France earlier in the year when Liam was on vocal rest. Speaking in the Sunday Times in 2019, Liam said: 'Any good that comes out of me is all from Peggy and all her sisters and brothers. 'They were a good, close bunch of people. I never miss my father because my mother was both a mother and a father figure. She was there with the cuddle. "She was also there with the whack.
