Mercury Cazimi is hugely powerful — especially for these 3 star signs

Metro6 days ago
Aries: Leo is a fire sign you've a natural affinity with, and the Sun and Mercury here urge to be a playful and socially interactive as possible. But if in your love life you're encountering someone who constantly gives you mixed signals, look to reclaim your power, and focus on meet ups with the friends who are fun to be with. Involved? A great time to have a date night and look to spark the connection you first shared.
Taurus: If the lines communication between you and loved ones have been blurry of late, this may have left you unsure and perhaps a little vulnerable. Likewise, if your home isn't meeting all your needs, it's time to reassess. The answers you seek lay deep within you Taurus. Don't wait for others to respond or not, look to nurture an inner narrative of the things that give you a sense of security and bliss.
Gemini: When you're on your celestial game Gemini, you're the zippiest communicator in the zodiac, and one of the most charismatic and fun people to be with. But if there have been misunderstandings of late, you may have felt your stress levels rise and may have felt triggered by any frustrations you've encountered. Dig deep and focus on what you can affect but also clarify and correct information quickly.
Cancer: Cancer, this event is very much about how you think about your personal value, self-worth and everyday money. Chances are this Cazimi is going to help you to crystalise your thinking about a job, career goal or ambition, but in a way which mirrors your beliefs. You may have to grapple with what path you'd really like to take, with the financial reality that this decision may have. Feeding your soul purpose is the key.
Leo: The Leo New Moon of July 24 gave you a marvellous opportunity to refresh your personal image, approach and dynamism to the things that really excite you. But if all has not gone to plan, stay cool. Frustration will only lower your spirits and being reluctant to change course for fear of how others may judge you, is also not helpful. If you reappraise and reset see it as a strength, not a weakness.
Virgo: This Cazimi may be more complex for you Virgo, because it is asking you to consider some sensitive strands to do with any insecurities or uncertainties, and many of us can resist these. But if you can warmly embrace this opportunity, you're going to discover a lot of untapped potential. You may also look at some painful past events and face them, but also release them, giving you more energy for the here and now.
Libra: How's your social life been recently Libra? If there have been lots of changes of plan, it may have irked but you're in a phase of sifting your social circle, and some exciting new people can be drawn to you. Your long terms plans can also be fluid, so if you have encountered some disappointments or delays, use this Cazimi to see how things stand, and carefully visualise your hopes but also your expectations.
Scorpio: Worldly and professional interactions are to the fore, and if you are clear about where you are heading, chances are, despite things not rattling along quite as quickly as you'd hoped, progress is in the celestial works. Continue to think big but check the details. Ensure that everything you can influence is up to date, accurate and clear, be it your CV, personal information with agencies or personal profiles.
Sagittarius: That part of you that relishes independence, adventure and travel is very much to the fore, but if you have encountered issues around bookings, flights, ferries or contracts, it'd be of little surprise. Yet in a way, even if this has been challenging, use this Cazimi to focus on the strands that are essential. This may require you to look at the small print, which can bore you, but this may be where glitches arise.
Capricorn: Don your proverbial detective's mac Capricorn, because if ever there was a time to think deeply, penetrate into the details and probe what's essential, it's now. This can be about long term finances, business ideas, shared resources and investments, or it can be about your closest connections. Wherever you feel most invested, emotionally, spiritually or intimately, ask yourself; is it working for you?
Aquarius: Relationships are the theme of this Cazimi for you Aquarius. You could enjoy a dazzling, what seems fated encounter which bonds you to a new friend, business associate or even lover. But if the to and fro of an existing relationship is not working as it should, this event encourages you to set your boundaries, and firmly. And do consider that sometimes people won't hear what we really mean.
Pisces: You have a fabulous imagination and can be hugely creative and artistic, talents that the sign of Leo helps you to promote, with a dash of extra self belief and panache. But ensure that whatever you're doing, you have a clear plan, it's well thought through and structured and that you are not taking any short cuts along the way. Your brilliance can be illuminated Pisces but ensure you're efficient too.

Teddi Mellencamp breaks down in tears asking if cancer diagnosis was 'payback' for her affair

Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp finally broke her silence regarding the alleged affair with her horse trainer, Simon Schroeder. While appearing on Tuesday's episode of The Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast, the reality star, 44, opened up about the controversy that made headlines in late 2024. 'I've never talked about it at all, just because of the kids, and I've never wanted anybody to have a guarantee whether it happened or didn't happen,' Mellencamp explained. 'But what I can say is, did I do things that hurt other people? Yes.' As her eyes welled with tears, the mother-of-three reflected on how deeply the situation continues to affect her, without confirming or denying whether the cheating scandal occurred. 'To this day, does it still hurt my heart and I wonder if that's why I got cancer? Yes, like it was my payback,' she said, referencing her ongoing battle with stage 4 cancer after her melanoma spread to her brain and lungs. 'Nothing goes without payment,' she added. 'However long it was … it was all over the press, it was everywhere. You're trying to minimize everybody's pain. You end up maximizing it. Because now not only do you have yourself, you have your significant other, your kids, the other person's significant other, their kids.' Court records confirm that Schroeder's ex-wife, Karli Schroeder, filed for divorce on December 30, 2024, just months after rumors of an affair began circulating. The documents, obtained by People, cited irreconcilable differences and revealed that the couple had remarried on April 14, 2024, after annulling a prior marriage in February. They officially separated on September 22, 2024. The allegations involving Simon emerged while Mellencamp was also going through a difficult period in her personal life. She had filed for divorce from her husband of 13 years, Edwin Arroyave, on November 1, 2024, also citing irreconcilable differences. Then, in February 2025, Mellencamp publicly revealed her cancer diagnosis, pausing the divorce proceedings. Despite everything, Mellencamp and Arroyave have remained close and have a amicable co-parenting relationship. The former couple share three children: Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 5. 'I always knew he'd do the right thing by me,' she said during the podcast. 'If he wanted to, he could still be filing and finishing this divorce off right now. But… it was like, 'Yeah, of course. No, we'll wait. We'll wait until she's better, and then we'll figure it out.' When asked directly about her role in the scandal, Mellencamp didn't shy away from the wreckage left behind. 'So many people are hurt in the wreckage,' she said. 'But I can say this from knowing — the wreckage doesn't happen on its own. It never had happened to me,' she said. She acknowledged she was in a dark place mentally and physically during that period. 'I think I was so broken as a human being during that part of my life that I did things out of my better judgment,' she admitted. 'I was so sick.' Mellencamp revealed she had been experiencing 'severe and debilitating headaches' for months before doctors discovered tumors. 'I was looking for comfort anywhere I can get it. I felt so much pain. I felt so sick. I didn't go to the doctors. I just felt some certain kind of way,' she said. 'The pain was so much that I had gotten to the point of like, almost hating waking up in the morning, which I had never been that kind of person.' Still, she emphasized that illness doesn't excuse her choices. 'I wasn't myself, but I'm not going to blame my alleged actions on the fact that I was sick,' Mellencamp said. 'But I do think a bunch of things happened in my life all around the same time, and I had zero control of any of them. Like I just was running around like a chicken with my head cut off.'

Major country star forced to cancel shows after cancer diagnosis leads to health challenges

Country band The Mavericks have canceled several upcoming performances after lead singer Raul Malo continues treatment for stage 4 cancer. The group recently pulled out of their scheduled appearance aboard the 2026 Outlaw Country Cruise, with Raul, 59, preparing to undergo hernia surgery linked to previous cancer-related operations. 'Hey everyone, due to Raul's upcoming treatment schedule, The Mavericks will unfortunately no longer be a part of the Sandy Beaches Cruise 2026,' the band wrote in a recent Instagram post. 'Next January, Raul will undergo hernia surgery to repair complications from a previous operation. 'The recovery time following this procedure will require us to take the first couple months of 2026 off for him to rest and recuperate, and hopefully be the final hurdle in his cancer treatment.' It continued: 'This decision was not made lightly, and we apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause. 'Your continued support means the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for your understanding during this time. 'Thank you for your patience and kindness. We hope to sail with you all again soon.' And fans of the country star rushed in to offer their support by offering 'healing vibes' and prayers. 'Definitely a wise decision, and health is paramount. I wish you all the best, recovery, and good health,' someone wrote. Another said: 'Sending healing vibes to him. Glad I was able to see you guys earlier this month.' 'The right decision. Sending prayers of medical wisdom, comfort, and healing,' one user shared. 'We love you, Raul. All prayers and healing for your recovery. Always with you. And love to you all,' someone else wrote. 'Praying for a complete recovery for Raul,' a comment read. The cancellations are the latest in a series of schedule changes since Raul revealed his cancer diagnosis in June 2024. He initially revealed that doctors had discovered two cancerous spots in his gastrointestinal system. The singer later underwent liver surgery in December 2024 and was briefly hospitalized again in February 2025 due to complications from that procedure, prompting further cancellations at the time, per Despite the diagnosis, Raul has continued to perform when possible throughout 2024 and 2025. In April, he confirmed that the illness had progressed to stage 4, but reassured fans he was staying optimistic. The Mavericks, best known for their genre-blending hits like Dance the Night Away, have not yet announced whether other tour dates will be affected.

Beloved Boston TV anchor Byron Barnett has died at the age of 69 after a brave battle with cancer. The veteran journalist, who reported for WHDH for nearly four decades, passed away peacefully on Sunday in his hometown of Minneapolis, surrounded by his family. His station confirmed the tragic news in a moving on-air tribute. Barnett, a beloved and respected reporter across New England, was known for his political coverage, as well as his ability to connect with viewers and ask tough questions. He reported on some of the biggest stories of his time, including an interview with Muhammad Ali early in his career that he described as one of his proudest moments. 'For almost 40 years, when big news happened, Byron Barnett was there,' WHDH said in a statement. 'From snowstorms, to shocking courtroom dramas, and moments that changed our world, including the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion in 1986, Byron was reporting live from Cape Canaveral when the disaster happened.' 'It was his questioning of another sports legend that Pats fans will always remember, Bill Belichick.' 'Through the thousands of stories he told, Byron crafted his legacy in Boston.' His family also released a statement Monday. He covered many of them. He famously grilled Belichick. He even interviewed Muhammad Ali!' Hall recalled their final dinner on June 5 saying' 'Byron looked great – we just don't know how much time we have on this planet.' He added: 'A lot of prayers went his way over the last week or so while Byron was hospitalized. Thank you all. I know his family appreciates the love.'
