There were two rounds of voting.
The first round, voting by nomination, started Oct. 7 and ended on Oct. 31, 2024. The second round featured the top 7 nominations from the first round in a head-to-head vote that started on Dec. 9 and ended Jan. 10, 2025. Voters were allowed one vote per category, per person, per round.

Hobby painter from Pembrokeshire exhibits works at local gallery
A hobby painter's first solo exhibition is now on display. Deborah Thomas, who is self-taught and based in Pembrokeshire, is showing her pastel works at the Joanna Field Gallery at the Torch Theatre in Milford Haven. Ms Thomas said: "After a long time away from painting, I picked up a pencil and decided to draw. "I tried working with both pastel chalks and pencils and loved working with these mediums. "I paint as a hobby and became self-taught and I love painting to detail." Born and raised in Milford Haven, Ms Thomas developed an early interest in art during her school days at Milford Central School. At the age of eight, while living in Devon, she was accepted into an art college in Newton Abbott. The comic strip Andy Capp, created by Reg Smythe and published in the Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror, inspired her childhood drawings. Despite her early passion, she put down her pencils for around 20 years after leaving school. Her first piece after returning to art was a portrait of Marilyn Monroe. (Image: Deborah Thomas) Her collection now includes works such as The Violin, Celtic Barn Owls, White Thunder, a Bald Eagle, a White Iceland Falcon, a Beagle, and Mum and Baby Fox. Art remains a form of escape and relaxation for Ms Thomas, who cares for her elderly mother, Diana. She said: "I don't paint as much as I'd like to but when I do paint, I'm transported into my own little world. "It's like an escapism and I need to be in that atmosphere to paint." Her family has been supportive of her artistic journey, including her son Gregory, who lives in Australia and owns one of her paintings—a lion's head. Ms Thomas said: "Having this exhibition at the Torch Theatre does mean a lot to me. "I'm excited, but there's a bit of anxiousness involved but overall I'm really very excited."

Peter Sutherland Builds Meaning From Mess in ‘Cloud Painting'
Summary ForDries Van Noten's latest show at its Little House Gallery,Peter SutherlandpresentsCloud Paintingwhich is a body of work made between 2024 and 2025. Following a move from New York City to a mountain town in Colorado, his practice expanded from photography to include painting, collage and sculpture. The result is a series of works that explore the space between the natural and the manmade, the polished and the raw. 'I want it to be a chaotic celebration of life,' Sutherland said to Dries Van Noten. His work draws from everyday scenes, graffiti and the cultures that shaped him, like skateboarding and biking. He layers photographs, stickers, sketches and found images with paint rollers, creating compositions that are compacted with unruly elements yet imbued with stillness. 'There's no beginning or end to the process,' he explained in an interview. 'I photograph my life and family in a way that blends everything together.' Relocating during the pandemic gave him space to slow down. 'This work is personal. I wasn't interrupted with city life and just really got to take time and try new things.' For this show, Sutherland scaled up his collage work, something he has been developing for over a decade. 'The pieces feel like they breathe more.' His work is inspired by artists who reveal themselves through their creations. 'It's like watching a film and slowly learning about a character,' he says. Inside Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's 7 Year Wedding Anniversary
Last week, Meghan Markle posted a celebratory message to honor her wedding anniversary with Prince Harry. The couple was married at Windsor Castle in 2018 inside St. George's Chapel and they marked the seventh year anniversary with a trip to Arizona, according to Hello! Magazine, where they allegedly enjoyed some time together at a luxury spa. Meghan's public Instagram post for the day included shots of her life with Harry and their two children, six-year-old Archie and three-year-old Lilibet. In the caption, she wrote, 'Seven years of marriage. A lifetime of stories. Thanks to all of you (whether by our side, or from afar) who have loved and supported us throughout our love story—we appreciate you. Happy anniversary!' Some of the images of the children had never been seen before and the board of photos included shots from their trips to Morocco, Norway, and Botswana. While the Duchess of Sussex usually disguises her kids' faces to protect their privacy, she shared a bit more in this intimate collection. There was even a picture of Archie giving his little sister a kiss on the forehead, labeled as being from 2022. Another photo shows the couple seated around a table in the yard working on a painting project with both Archie and Lili. Meghan was recently interviewed on The Jamie Kern Lima Show, where she talked about how her and Harry's relationship improves every year. 'There's something that is not to be taken for granted when you have a partner and a spouse who is just so behind you,' Meghan said. 'You know, I mean, H, that man loves me so much. And you know, look what we built. We've built a beautiful life, and we have two healthy, beautiful children, [Archie and Lilibet].' She continued, 'And you know, I always think about it like the end of Super Mario Brothers when you get to the final, final level. And what's the goal in Super Mario? They're like, slay the dragon, save the princess.
