Posing for the cover of W Magazine's Summer Issue, the Euphoria actress flexed her acting range by playing several different characters for the spread—and Sweeney leaned into '80s glamour showing off a mullet with an ultra-teased crown that she paired with one of the era's most divisive beauty trends.
Sweeney looked almost recognizable in the cover shot, which showed her dressed in a form-fitting sleeveless aquamarine dress with a white 'Golden Girl' sash slung across her chest. Her blonde locks were styled in a voluminous bouffant hairstyle with most of her hair teased high on her head and wisps of shoulder-length hair at the back. Gazing straight at the camera, Sweeney accentuated her features with electric icy blue matte eyeshadow paired with thick black eyeliner and frosted lips.
It appears that the '80s theme was a nod to Sweeney's 26th birthday, where the star threw herself a belated prom themed to the decade. 'I actually didn't go to my prom, but on my 26th birthday, I threw myself a 1980s prom, and it was so much fun,' she told the publication. 'I rented out the venue and put streamers and disco balls everywhere. I built a cool disco stage and had letterman jackets that you could customize. I had an old-school photo booth and a caricature artist. I made my grandma the prom queen and my lawyer the prom king.' Sweeney also revealed that she had a short custom pink ruffled dress made for the occasion.
While the mullet and eyeshadow was a beauty 180 from the Echo Valley star's go-to blonde waves and natural glam, it looks like it was a temporary transformation. Sweeney brought back her long blonde locks for a retro-inspired photo showing her wearing a red-and-white striped helmet with a matching plunging bra, matching tights, and a pair of red hot pants. Meanwhile, in other photos, she took beauty inspiration from the '60s with a voluminous half-up bob, abstract flower power-inspired eye makeup, and a colorful long-sleeved graphic dress.

Liev Schreiber's Daughter Kai Opens Up About Being Trans And Chasing Supermodel Stardom

Just months after making her Paris Fashion Week debut, Kai Schreiber is speaking candidly about her aspirations as a young transgender woman in the fashion industry. The 16-year-old daughter of actors Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts told Interview magazine in a Q&A published this week that her dream early on was to be 'a beautiful, glamorous, influential woman, like Marilyn [Monroe].' 'I want to be a supermodel. Period,' she told the outlet. 'I've been practicing my walks in the kitchen for years; my mom can show you all the videos I forced her to film. Struggling with gender identity from a young age most likely had something to do with it.' When asked about her role models, Kai Schreiber said she's 'always going to look up to the older generation of transgender people, especially in fashion,' naming actors Hari Nef ('Transparent') and Hunter Schafer ('Euphoria') as two of her current inspirations. 'It's so great that there's a strong community of us in the fashion world; it's really a doll takeover,' she explained. 'It's important to all of us to have a sense of community, especially when we're under such hostile attack.' The Interview chat appears to be the first time Kai Schreiber has addressed her gender identity on the record. She has, however, been stepping into the spotlight regularly in recent months. After walking the runway for Valentino as part of her Paris Fashion Week debut in March, she appeared in an ad campaign for the Italian fashion house. Speaking to Variety last month, Liev Schreiber recalled the 'profound' moment Kai asked him and Watts to change her pronouns. 'Kai is such a fighter. It's important that she goes, 'Hey, I am trans,' and, 'Look at me,' and, 'Fuck you. Fuck off,'' he said. When asked for his advice to parents of children who may be coming to terms with the trans identity, Liev Schreiber offered a measured response. 'I don't know the answer for your kid,' he told the outlet. 'I don't know what it's like for you to be a trans dad. I don't know how you were brought up. I don't know what religion you encountered or what your spirituality is. And for me to tell you what I think about my kid feels like an overstep.' In addition to Kai, Liev Schreiber also shares son Sasha, 17, with Watts. He and the 'Mulholland Drive' actor were in a relationship from 2005 to 2016. In 2023, he married Taylor Neisen, with whom he shares a 1-year-old daughter, Hazel Bee. Sydney Sweeney Reveals How Glen Powell Helped Her Bag Tate McRae Song Gig

Sydney Sweeney recently opened up about how her unexpected appearance on a Tate McRae song came about. While appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the Anyone But You actress revealed that her co-star was the one who introduced her to McRae. This ultimately led to her feature on the track 'Miss Possessive.' Here's how Sydney Sweeney ended up on a Tate McRae song. Sydney Sweeney recently shared the backstory behind her unexpected feature on Tate McRae's song 'Miss Possessive.' She credited her Anyone But You co-star Glen Powell for making the connection happen. During a guest appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Clarkson asked how the collaboration happened and whether Sweeney already knew McRae. Sweeney admitted she had long admired McRae's work, saying, 'So, I have been a huge fan of her music. I think she's so beyond talented and she's so hot.' She went on to explain how collaboration came together after Powell acted as the go-between. According to Sweeney, 'Glen actually connected me with her. He was like, 'Hey, Tate wants me to connect you two. Can I give her your number?' I said, 'Yeah, sure.'' Following that introduction, McRae contacted Sweeney and asked her to send a voice recording for her upcoming album. The actress said, 'She reached out and was like, 'Hey, I really would love to sample your voice for a portion of my song on my new album. Would you be down?' And I'm like 'Hell yes.'' Sweeney saying, 'No, seriously, get your hands off my man,' became the opening line of the album's first track, 'Miss Possessive,' which appears on McRae's So Close to What. The moment quickly became a highlight for fans, who were surprised to hear Sweeney's voice on the song. Both Clarkson and Sweeney agreed that the collaboration was a 'cool' moment, with the actress clearly thrilled to be involved. The revelation arrived just as Powell's ex, Gigi Paris, appeared to break her silence about their breakup.
