Boca Juniors' historic winless streak extended with goal from USMNT's Matko Miljevic
Miljevic, who played for the US in January's friendlies, struck brilliantly from outside the box to doom Boca, one of the giants of Argentine soccer.
Boca failed to recover from their disappointing Copa Argentina Round of 32 exit earlier this week and now sit 13th in Group B of the Clausura, having managed just two draws before the loss to Huracán.
Miguel Angel Russo's team once again produced a lackluster performance, with goalkeeper Agustín Marchesín emerging as their standout player.
'We are very angry about the team's current situation, but we know we have to turn this around,' Marchesín told TNT Sports.
'We have great players. There is a lot of sadness within the squad. We have to work harder than ever to keep improving.'
The hosts dominated the early proceedings, with Rodrigo Cabral coming close to breaking the deadlock when his deflected effort rattled the crossbar.
Moments later, Marchesín produced a stunning reflex save, using his feet to preserve the stalemate before making another crucial block in a one-on-one situation seconds before half-time.
Yet the Argentine keeper was finally beaten in the 65th minute when Miljevic fired a superb strike into the top corner to hand the Apertura runners-up Huracán their first win in the tournament.
'I think we are deserved winners,' Huracan midfielder Leonardo Gil said. 'We had a lot of chances to score. They only had a couple of shots on goal.'
Boca next host Racing Club on 9 August.
'The tournament has just started, we have to turn the page,' Marchesín added. 'We are very sad, but we have to be in the best possible shape at home.'

Former Man United star 'thrown out of club and banned from entering dressing room' after blazing row with staff following defeat
A former Manchester United defender has reportedly been kicked of his club's dressing room after clashing with staff. Boca Juniors slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Huracan on Sunday, with American Matko Miljevic netting the decisive goal in the second half. The result saw Boca slip to 13th in Group A as part of the second phase of the Argentine Primera Division and also marked the historic club's worst-ever run of form with 11 consecutive games without a win inside 90 minutes. With tensions at breaking point following the loss, Boca boss Miguel Angel Russo has exiled Marcos Rojo. According to a report from ESPN Argentina, Rojo clashed with Russo following the game leading the manager to expel him from the first-team dressing room. In addition, fellow Boca stars Marcelo Saracchi and Cristian Lema are also said to have been banished amid the club's dismal run of form of late. The report suggests that Russo's decision will not be reversed and that Rojo will need to begin contract termination proceedings with the club in order to continue his playing career elsewhere. Rojo is said to have informed Boca prior to the Club World Cup of his intentions to move on after more than four years with the Blue and Gold. However, no bids have reportedly been made for the 35-year-old, whose last appearance for Boca came when he captained the side to victory against Lanus back in May. The veteran defender joined Boca in 2021 after spending eight years at Old Trafford. Despite a promising start in United colours after joining the club from Sporting Lisbon, Rojo quickly fell down the pecking order, with a slew of injuries curtailing his career in England. In total, the former Argentina international made just 64 Premier League starts across his seven seasons at the club.

Marcos Rojo joined the Argentine outfit from the Red Devils in 2021 after falling down the pecking order at Old Trafford. 2 2 Boca have been on an awful run of form of late, having not won since their penalty shootout success against Lanus in May. The last time they won a game in 90 minutes was April 20 with the 2-0 win over Estudiantes. Their recent results include losing to Bayern Munich and drawing to Auckland City at the Club World Cup. While they have also struggled in the Primera Division, having not won once in their three second-phase games. Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Huracan meant that the streak is the club's longest without a win in their history. As tensions have heightened, Rojo has been exiled from the squad by manager Miguel Angel Russo and his staff. ESPN Argentina claim the decision to throw out the former Red Devil was made after an argument between him and the coaching staff. Rojo, 35, is not the only player to be banned from the first team, as he is training with the also banished Marcelo Saracchi and Cristian Lema. The report claims that the decision will "not be reversed" and Rojo could even have his contract terminated. This would be the end of the defender's career at Boca and leaving him looking for a new club. Man Utd make £55m Watkins vs Sesko decision It has also been revealed that the three stars are not even allowed to use the locker rooms at Boca's Xeneiza training centre. Rojo is believed to have already asked to leave the club but has not received any offers. The last time he featured for the team was in the penalty shootout win over Lanus. Rojo joined Manchester United back in 2014 from Sporting Lisbon for £16million. He won the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League during his time in England. However, a cruciate ligament injury in 2017 marked the beginning of the end of Rojo's Old Trafford career.
