Feyenoord and Istanbulspor open talks for exciting Malian winger
Feyenoord will make an offer for Gaoussou Diarra today, according to 1908.nl insiders. Talks have been opened between the club and the Istanbulspor winger's entourage.
Diarra is a 22-year-old right-footer, plays on the left wing as his preferred position, but can also play as a right winger. The Malian-born player scored 16 goals and provided three assists for his club last season as they finished fourth in the Turkish Super Lig.

Feyenoord are currently preparing a bid for Diarra, which will be submitted to his club in a few hours. The attacker is under contract with Istanbulspor until the summer of 2029.
According to 1908: 'Feyenoord knows that Diarra is charmed by the first approaches towards and for the player. The club expects to be able to pick him up for an affordable price. Diarra has only just broken through in professional football, after initially studying in Istanbul. In Rotterdam, Diarra can calmly continue to adapt and initially focus on a place as a rotation player.'

In his second full year on the Major League, PCA is hitting .271/.305/.545 with 17 home runs and 21 steals. His combination of speed, power, and superb defense may even be reminiscent of another superstar in his days as a Pittsburgh Pirate. But his praise of PCA didn't stop short of comparing his numbers to those of Barry Bonds. His defense in the outfield won him a Gold Glove, culminating in a WAR value of 10.7, slightly higher than Bonds' in 2004.
