Buffy the Vampire Slayer Reboot Adds 5 — Including Severance and Frasier Vets
Hulu's Buffy reboot pilot just added several series regulars to the cast, TVLine has learned. They include a Severance scene-stealer, a Major Crimes detective and Frasier's son.

Sarah Bock (Severance) will play Gracie. Ava Jean (Law & Order: SVU) will play Larkin. Faly Rakotohavana (Unprisoned, Raven's Home) joins as Hugo. All are series regulars. Though no official character information is available, these roles match up with the roles of the new Slayer's close friends that TVLine first reported in March.
In addition, Jack Cutmore-Scott (Frasier, Deception) will play the reboot's Mr. Burke (dare we hope he's a Giles-type Watcher?) and Daniel di Tomasso (Major Crimes) will play a character named Abe. Both are series regulars.
The potential series continuation, which likely will find original series lead Sarah Michelle Gellar reprising her titular role as a recurring guest star, is said to be focused on a new Slayer and 'the next chapter in the Buffyverse.' As previously reported, Ryan Kiera Armstrong (Star Wars: Skeleton Crew) will play the new lead, who is said to be a brainy and cerebral teen that's possibly more Willow than Buffy. Further details remain TBA.
Chloé Zhao (who won a directing Oscar for her 2020 feature Nomadland) is attached to direct and executive-produce the project, with additional EPs including Gellar, Gail Berman, Fran Kuzui, Kaz Kuzui and Dolly Parton. (Berman, the Kuzuis and Parton all executive-produced the original Buffy series.)
As for other returning Buffy cast members, no one from the original cast has been confirmed (yet) aside from Gellar herself. 'We will try to find a balance between new and old characters,' Gellar teased. 'My dream is to bring back everyone who has died, but space will have to be made for new stories as well.'

The Fantastic Four: First Steps Pedro Pascal, welcome back to the big screen for the third time this summer. But this time around, it's for one of his biggest roles yet: Mr. Fantastic/Reed Storm. Joining him are Vanessa Kirby as the Invisible Woman/Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Human Torch/Johnny Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/Thing. Moms Every week, Netflix treats us to another juicy true crime or crazy case in its Trainwreck series, and this time is no different. In P.I. Trophy Wife: Murder on the Safari delves into the details behind the murder, which was believed to be a tragic incident on a hunting trip until five years later, when suspicion began to turn onto Larry. The Hunting Wives stars Brittany Snow as said newcomer, Sophie, who becomes enamored with her husband's boss' wife after she moves to East Texas from Cambridge, Mass. Molly Gordon plays a crazy, obsessed woman who just wants Logan Lerman's character's love — and will go to any lengths to get it. And you know what? Did Carrie and Aidan Break Up on 'And Just Like That'? Here's What Producers Say
[Major spoilers ahead for this week's episode of And Just Like That.] Okay, the And Just Like That... writers room must be reading the commentary online, because after bringing Aidan back last season only to put he and Carrie in a long distance relationship this season, they have decided to break them up after all. In this week's episode, Aidan becomes wary of Carrie's relationship with Duncan, and that starts a whole discussion about how he still doesn't trust her after all these years. It's a devastating argument to watch, and at the end of it, they decide to break up because Carrie admits that she's no longer "100 percent" in the relationship. Executive producer Elisa Zuritsky told TVLine that the decision to break them up was actually made pretty early in the crafting of the season. 'It wasn't a fiery debate in the room. I think it really came down to the way the previous season ended, with Aidan's family proving to be such an obstacle,' she said. She also said the team 'really did want to play it out in the real world and think of [Carrie and Aidan] as real people, and take them out of the fantasy Disney prince and princess happy ending that we were kind of playing with in season 2. It did feel like too much to ask of those two people, especially with their baggage.' Fellow executive producer Julie Rottenberg agreed, saying that it was not realistic for their relationship to move forward considering everything that's happened. 'I think we all knew their problems were systemic enough that they would not survive,' Rottenberg says. As devastating as this is, does this finally mean we'll get to see single Carrie dating around?
