Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abu Dhabi Health Data Services (ADHDS), part of M42's Digital Health Solutions (DHS) platform, has announced a collaboration with Syndesis Health, one of the world's largest holders of phenotype data, encompassing over 70 million patient profiles. The term sheet was signed by Kareem Shahin, CEO of M42's Digital Health Solutions platform and Josh Sutton, CEO of Syndesis Health, reinforcing Abu Dhabi's position as a global hub for digital health innovation.
This collaboration brings together Syndesis Health's extensive phenotype database and ADHDS's cutting-edge digital health infrastructure to drive advancements in AI-powered genomic analytics, precision medicine, and drug discovery. By combining real-world data with advanced artificial intelligence, the collaboration aims to accelerate innovation in clinical decision support and pharmaceutical research, ultimately improving treatment pathways for patients worldwide.
The partnership will focus on three key areas:
Commercializing phenotype data to support global pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic research.
Developing AI-driven predictive models that enable personalized and data-driven healthcare while maintaining strict compliance with international data governance standards.
Enhancing genomic analytics to improve prescription safety and reduce adverse drug reactions through AI-powered pharmacogenomics.
By leveraging their complementary capabilities, the parties have signed a term sheet outlining their intent to establish a joint venture focused on generating valuable insights to accelerate drug development, enhance patient outcomes, and support the advancement of the healthcare infrastructure. This potential collaboration aligns with the Abu Dhabi's vision of positioning itself as global leader in digital health and biomedical research.

With connections to nearly all healthcare facilities – including hospitals, clinics and pharmacies - in the Emirate, Malaffi now supports 53,476 authorised users, from doctors and nurses to allied health professionals across 3,072 healthcare facilities in Abu Dhabi. The platform's latest enhancements expand its capabilities with the addition of over 160,000 M42 Pharmacogenomics Reports, offering personalised insights into patients' genetic responses to medications to optimise treatment plans. Furthermore, new diagnostic test results across key specialities, such as Mental Health, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, and Respiratory Diagnostics, provide clinicians with deeper insights to elevate patient care. These advancements are complemented by features like the Radiology Image Exchange, allowing access to radiology images from over 60 facilities to all authorised clinical users, and the AI-powered Patient Risk Profile, which predicts risks for chronic conditions and acute events. RAK Ceramics' revenue grew 6.4% YoY to Dhs826.8 million in Q2

RAK Ceramics PJSC announced its financial results for the second quarter ended 30th June 2025. Total revenue increased by 6.4% YoY to Dhs826.8 million and by 2.9% to Dhs1.6 billion in H1 2025 as a result of strong demand from the UAE and Middle East as well as effective cost management. In Q2 2025, the gross profit margin increased by 110bps to 40.6% YoY and in H1 2025, it increased by 70bps to 40.2%, driven by enhanced operational efficiencies which have contributed to higher gross profit margin, reinforcing RAK Ceramic's market leadership. EBITDA increased by 17.5% to Dhs160.8 million in Q2 2025 compared to Dhs 136.9 million in the same period last year. Similarly, in H1 25 EBITDA increased by 2.9% to Dhs296.4 million, while EBITDA margins have increased by 1.9% to 19.5% in Q2 2025 up from 17.6% in Q2 2024. In H1 2024, EBITDA margin remained consistent at 18.5%. Profit before tax increased by 45.0% YoY to Dhs86.7 million, compared to Dhs59.8 million in Q2 2024. Net profit after tax increased by 30.1% YoY to Dhs66.4 million, compared to Dhs51.0 million in Q2 2024. In line with the increased profitability across the businesses. UAE Corporate tax was Dhs17.2 million in Q2 2025, up from Dhs6.5 million in Q2 2024. Net debt position rose by Dhs120.6 million to reach Dhs1.56 billion in Q2 2025, compared to Q1 2025, primarily driven by increased capital expenditure and working capital requirements. Commenting on the results, Abdallah Massaad, Group CEO, RAK Ceramics, said, "I'm pleased to report that Q2 2025 delivered solid revenue growth alongside strong operational performance, a reflection of the strength and adaptability of RAK Ceramics across the globe.
