He teed off and brought up his 50 in the fourth over. He went on to make 85 off 30 balls, hitting seven sixes and eight fours.
Nottinghamshire secured a nervy one-wicket win off the penultimate ball against Leicestershire.
Rishi Patel (51) and Sol Budinger (56) helped the Foxes to 188 for two in their 20 overs.
Nottinghamshire were steady in their reply with Joe Clarke hitting 50 before a flurry of wickets put them in danger until number 10 Dillon Pennington and number 11 Farham Ahmed saw them over the line with the penultimate delivery.

Ned Leonard and Andy Gorvin did the damage for Glamorgan as they beat Kent by six wickets.
Leonard took four for 26 and Gorvin four for 17 as Kent were restricted to 118 for nine from their 20 overs.
The Welsh county made light work of their chase, knocking it off in the 12th over, with Kiran Carlson top-scoring on 34.
Essex won a rain-affected contest with Surrey in nail-biting fashion.

With the game reduced to 12 overs, the hosts posted 141 for six thanks to Jason Roy's breezy 30.
Paul Walter's 55 took Essex close but it was left to Matt Critchley to hit the winning runs off the final ball to secure a four-wicket run.
Somerset claimed a four-wicket victory off the penultimate ball against a Hampshire side who posted 178 for three at Southampton.
Worcestershire easily passed Northamptonshire's 152 for nine, winning by six wickets with 20 balls to spare.
Gloucestershire defeated visiting Middlesex by nine runs and Durham came through at home to Bears, winning by eight runs.

There will be a consultation process taking place over August and September with the four professional clubs - Cardiff, Dragons, Ospreys and Scarlets - and players being the primary stakeholder groups to contribute, but a comprehensive engagement programme will ensure all representative groups of the game in Wales have the opportunity to contribute. WRU CEO Abi Tierney will seek the WRU board's approval of strategy for consultation and the commencement of the formal consultation period in August, while in September there will be a consultation and engagement process. October will be the date where the new structure will be in place and the strong likelihood is it will include a reduction to two professional clubs. In its statement the WRU says the restructure will be in place for the 2027/28 season at the latest but the reality is if they reduce the number of teams it will be for the 2026/27 season. Major changes to Welsh rugby as WRU proposes cutting number of regions
The Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) has launched a consultation over a major shakeup to Welsh rugby that could cut regional clubs from the current four to three or two. The restructure would be carried out in time for the 2027/28 season. The consultation with the sides - Scarlets, Ospreys, Cardiff Rugby and Dragons - will take place over August and September along with the involvement of other stakeholders. The WRU says it "does not see the system continuing with the current model of four equally funded regional clubs in the senior men's game," adding the current setup "isn't delivering consistent success on the field and isn't currently financially sustainable given the likely investment required". They went on to say they are "considering a more radical strategy focused on maximising investment and reforming the whole structure of professional rugby in Wales." The WRU says the proposed changes would allow "a significant investment in player development and pathways" and a new national centre to develop coaches and support staff. Wales have been in a rut at international level for some time, with the men's national team having suffered 18 consecutive Test defeats before beating Japan on Saturday to square the two-match series in the Far East. The women's team have also finished bottom of the last two Six Nations Championships, losing all five matches for the first time in the 2025 edition. 'The consultation will cover the entire high-performance framework from pathways to professional club structure and the senior men's and women's game,' the WRU added.

The Welsh club has become a magnet for star visits ever since actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took over in February 2021. The Racecourse Ground has welcomed many celebrities from Tinseltown, with appearances from Eva Longoria, Channing Tatum and Paul Rudd. Comedy legend Will Ferrell also raised some laughs when he greeted the squad in February 2023. However, ex-Red Dragons skipper Ben Tozer has now shared how an encounter with Jackman received a less warm reception. Jackman, who featured alongside Reynolds in last year's Deadpool and Wolverine movie, was present in August 2023 hoping to see Wrexham triumph in their first match back in the EFL for 15 years. Despite the hype around the season opener in League Two, Phil Parkinson's team were beaten 5-3 at home by MK Dons. Following the disappointing result, the players weren't particularly sociable as Jackman ventured into the dressing room. Tozer, who recently hung up his boots, spoke about some of the star-studded visits while talking to Sky Sports Radio. He said: "The one where I had to pinch myself was when Will Ferrell walked in the dressing room before a game. I was like, 'I have to shake and bake with that guy,' because of Talladega Nights. In the past, Jackman spoke of how he was inspired by Reynolds' acquisition of Wrexham and was nearly convinced to buy a football club himself.
