Greenland Resources Signs MOU With Italian Cogne for Molybdenum Supply

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 20, 2025--
Greenland Resources Inc. (NEO:MOLY, FSE:M0LY) ('Greenland Resources' or the 'Company') is pleased to announce that it signed a memorandum of understanding ('MOU') for long term molybdenum supply with Cogne Acciai Speciali S.p.A., a global leading Italian company in the special steel and long stainless steel industry.
This press release features multimedia. View the full release here: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20250520507103/en/
The MOU is non-binding but sets the path for a long-term supply agreement of Ferromolybdenum and Mo-oxide with extraction in Greenland and roasting in Belgium. Cogne will be able to ensure a stable and responsibly sourced long term secured molybdenum supply with high sustainability standards and low scope 1&2 emissions from an EU associate country.
The EU is the second largest molybdenum user worldwide and has no extraction. Italy is the second largest user of molybdenum in the EU, after Germany. The Italian government recently established a strategic equity raw materials fund aiming to enhance Italy's industrial autonomy and contribute to the energy transition and circular economy.

Greenland Resources Inc.
Greenland Resources is a Canadian public company with the Ontario Securities Commission as its principal regulator and is focused on the development of its 100% owned Climax type primary molybdenum deposit located in central east Greenland. The Project has also magnesium as a bi-product, a market dominated 89% by China. The Malmbjerg molybdenum project is an open pit operation with an environmentally friendly mine design focused on reduced water usage, low aquatic disturbance and low footprint due to modularized infrastructure. The Malmbjerg project benefits from an NI 43-101 Definitive Feasibility Study completed by Tetra Tech in 2022, with an US$820 million capex and a levered after-tax IRR of 33.8% and payback of 2.4 years, using US$18 per pound molybdenum price. The Proven and Probable Reserves are 245 million tonnes at 0.176% MoS 2, for 571 million pounds of contained molybdenum metal. As the high-grade molybdenum is mined for the first half of the mine life, the average annual production for years one to ten is 32.8 million pounds per year of contained molybdenum metal at an average grade of 0.23% MoS 2, approximately 25% of EU total yearly consumption. The project had a previous exploitation license granted in 2009. With offices in Toronto, the Company is led by a management team with an extensive track record in the mining industry and capital markets. For further details, please refer to our web site ( www.greenlandresources.ca ) and our Canadian regulatory filings on Greenland Resources' profile at www.sedarplus.com.
The Project is supported by the European Raw Materials Alliance (ERMA). ERMA is managed by EIT RawMaterials, an organization within the EIT, a body of the European Union.
About Molybdenum and the European Union
Molybdenum is a critical metal used mainly in steel and chemicals that is needed in all technologies in the upcoming green energy transition. When added to steel and cast iron, it enhances strength, hardenability, weldability, toughness, temperature strength, and corrosion resistance. Based on data from the International Molybdenum Association and the European Commission Steel Report, the world produced around 576 million pounds of molybdenum in 2021 where the European Union ('EU') as the second largest steel producer in the world used approximately 24% of global molybdenum supply and has no domestic molybdenum production. To a greater degree, the EU steel dependent industries like the automotive, construction, and engineering, represent around 18% of the EU's ≈ US$16 trillion GDP. Greenland Resources strategically located Malmbjerg molybdenum project has the potential to supply in and for the EU approximately 25% of the EU consumption, of environmentally friendly high-quality molybdenum from a responsible EU Associate country, for decades to come. The high quality of the Malmbjerg ore, having low impurity content in phosphorus, tin, antimony, and arsenic, makes it an ideal source of molybdenum for the high-performance steel industry lead worldwide by Europe, specifically the Scandinavian countries and Germany.

Exclusive: Bub and Pop's will soon reopen in NoMa with spiked sodas and bowling

Beloved sandwich shop Bub and Pop's will soon open in a new, larger location in NoMa after a decade-plus in Dupont Circle, the owner exclusively tells Axios. Why it matters: Bub's seemingly abrupt shutter last week sparked fear of a permanent closure among its fanbase, but don't worry — the new version in the former Eleanor space promises to be bigger and better than ever. State of play: Chef/owner Jon Taub tells Axios he's aiming to open in about two weeks. He's keeping the bones of the Eleanor's barcade, meaning plenty of room to settle in with a beer and play throwback games or duck pin bowling. And the core menu of Philly-style hoagies and cheesesteaks will live on, as will the " Lil' Petey" sandwich-eating challenge. Dig in: Taub tells Axios he's looking forward to expanding the offerings — with plenty of nostalgic nods to his favorite hometown Philly spots. A custom soda fountain inspired by Nifty Fifty's will turn out egg creams, floats and malts, which customers can spike with booze (also look for wine, Champagne and beer). Taub is working on a new pizza menu, as well as fun bar snacks for game days. Diners will also have a few lighter options for times when a huge Italian hoagie or braised beef brisket sandwich won't fly. Context: Taub says the move has been in the works for a while after their landlord decided to double the rent on the small, mostly takeout shop. "It would have shuttered our business overnight," he says. The landlord filed an eviction lawsuit earlier this year, seeking nearly $250,000 in unpaid rent and fees, which Taub tells Axios is erroneous, and that they've been "following legal counsel" since. Between the lines: Taub has been making his own breads and hoagie rolls for a year-plus — which, along with homemade pickles and sauces, sets Bub's apart. Now he's upping the game with a new Polin oven. "It's how Angelo's in Philly achieves that perfect crust and bronze color," he says. All of the homemade accoutrements will be available to take away. "I know Trader Joe's is right down the street, but I wanted people to be able to come home with a container of our marinara and have a nice dinner."

Impact Silver Intersects 534.8 g/t Silver over 8.50m Including 2,320 g/t Silver over 1.07m on New Kena Vein South at Guadalupe Mine

Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - June 9, 2025) - IMPACT Silver Corp. (TSXV: IPT) (OTCQB: ISVLF) (FSE: IKL) ("IMPACT" or the "Company") is pleased to announce further drill results from the Kena Vein South zone in its producing Guadalupe silver mine in the Royal Mines of Zacualpan Silver District, Mexico. NEW KENA VEIN SOUTH UNDERGROUND DRILL RESULTS Underground drilling from Level 140 of the Guadalupe Mine intersected further significant mineralization on the recently discovered Kena Vein South extending the zone to the north and discovered other nearby parallel and splay high-grade veins. New assays received include the following: To view an enhanced version of this graphic, please visit: True widths are estimated to be 85-100% of drill intervals. Drill results reported in this news release tested the north extension of the Kena Vein zone. These results include newly discovered nearby parallel and splay high-grade veins (see Figure 1). Kena Vein South mineralization has now been traced over 300m strike length and remains open in all directions. Additional drilling is planned. New underground access to the Kena Vein South has been completed on Level 140 with first mining tonnes recently extracted. CEO STATEMENT President and CEO Fred Davidson commented, "Drilling on the recently discovered Kena Vein continues to return exceptional high-grade results extending the zone to the north. These drill holes have also made new discoveries of nearby high-grade parallel and splay veins. The zone has been drilled over 300m length now and remains open for exploration in all directions. Drilling will continue when a new underground drill station is completed to next test the southern extension of the vein. The close proximity of the new vein to current active mine workings has allowed for rapid and low-cost access and mine development. Our mining team recently extracted the first tonnes of mineral from Kena Vein South and are now developing north and south on the vein to start full commercial mining." ABOUT IMPACT SILVER IMPACT Silver Corp. (TSXV: IPT) is a successful producer-explorer with two mining projects in Mexico. Royal Mines of Zacualpan Silver-Gold District: IMPACT owns 100% of the 211 km2 Zacualpan project in central Mexico where four underground silver mines and one open pit mine feed the central 500 tpd Guadalupe processing plant. To the south, the Capire Project includes a 200 tpd processing pilot plant adjacent to an open pit silver mine with an NI 43-101 inferred mineral resource of over 4.5 million oz silver, 48 million lbs zinc and 21 million lbs lead (see IMPACT news release dated January 18, 2016 for details and QP statement). Company personnel are reviewing Capire for a potential restart of operations. Over the past 18 years, IMPACT has placed multiple zones into commercial production and produced over 13 million ounces of silver generating revenues over $284 million, with no long-term debt. Plomosas Zinc-Lead-Silver District: Plomosas is a high-grade zinc producer in northern Mexico with exceptional exploration upside potential. The Company recently restarted mining operations and is ramping up production toward design capacity levels. Exploration potential at Plomosas is exceptional along a 6 km-long structure. This is in addition to other exploration targets on the 3,019-hectare property including untested copper-gold targets with indications of high-grade material from surface. Regionally, Plomosas lies in the same mineral belt as some of the largest carbonate replacement deposits in the world. Quality Control/Quality Assurance Samples reported in this news release were analyzed by ALS Group, an internationally recognized analytical services provider, using a multielement ICP package for silver and base metals. Assays for base metals >1% resorted to an overlimit method. Certified Reference Materials and internal control samples were added to the sample stream at regular intervals to monitor assay quality control.
